Leave a CommentGuess u can add me to the list of people being called several times a day. We do have a loan with ASC but are not late. They never identify themselves but call all the time.
I do have a morgage with wells fargo (sold to them by my local bank! ) but have never been late...this number keeps calling me - very annoying! i called them and they wanted my social sec. number- do people actually give that out on the phone to some strange company? Has anyone gotten them to stop calling?
I too received a call from 909-658-0204 claiming to be American Servicing Co and that they own my mortgage, which was a total lie. I asked them to provide their Federal ID No. so that I can verify that they are my mortgage company and a legitimate business. They were very hesitant and then the CSR claimed not to have their FED ID No (which we know is untrue because ALL businesses must provide their Fedearl ID # upon request). They suggested that I call back at 800-662-3806 *** CAUTION - this is where they still your ID - after entering or disclosing your SS#. .
Dwayne was very unprofessional on the phone. The agents working on this so called "Debt Collection" are not friendly to the customers. They are just interested in reading you a lengthy statement, regardless of your payment plan.
I don't have a mortgage and never have. They've called six times now. It's annoying.
I don't have a mortgage with Wells Fargo, my mortgage hasn't been sold to America's Servicing Company, nor is repayment of my loan in jeopardy, so none of the explanations hold water. There are too many messages online mentioning shady calls from America's Servicing Company. They know the messages they leave are ***ue enough to cause concern--even I checked my online banking as well as my online mortgage account to see if there was a problem, and of course everything was fine. You'd at least think they'd c****e some of their call-back numbers so it wouldn't be so easy for people to search who is running the scam! My message said to call 800-662-3806.
Let you know I saw on C Span over a month ago when the VP of Servicing for Wells Fargo was giving testimony to congressional banking and finance committee the Congresswomen from Ohio asked her if they charged money for loan modification. The VP said they don't but she added because of privacy laws she could not comment on the specifics of any account.Interesting she said this many times when the Congressional Representative asked her why there were several articles in her local region in Ohio had said that people had been told several times that Wells Fargo was charging fees for home modifications. She denied it. I spoke to others that have loans with Wells Fargo here in LA County Area. they said the same thing and so it was in LAs Vegas. The only conclusion is Wells Fargo is LYING!
I have a mortgage with AMERICAN SERVICING COMPANY(ASC) they call me every day telling me I have a past due account with them.. The number where they are calling is registering in my caller ID as 1-909-658-0918 and they ask to call 1-800-662-3806. ALL of my mortgage payments are current and never been late. I am completely annoyed by this calls and don't know what to do. Any suggestions.
Caller leaves no message or leaves a scratchy message that is barely understandable. They are calling about my mortgage...WHICH IS NOT LATE or past due...It will get paid at the same time every month like it has for the past 4 years.
This is a SCAM. The worse kind. Why can't the government stop this? Praying on the elderly is as low as it gets.
800-662-3806 america mortgage servicing company left a message which i could hardly hear with the static. i called back directions were enter last four digits of your social security number. then it said enter loan number. i entered zeros for ss pressed pound then zeros for loan pressed pound. i got a real person. nice women no name asked for loan # and i told her i didn't have on because i don't have a loan and i never did. she asked if some company sold my loan to someone else. i told her a***n that i never ever had a loan. the she asked me for the mortgage #. i told her i never ever had a mortgage. i told her i lived in s small apt. owned by a slumlord. she asked for the number that they called. i did give that number then she said they may have called the wrong # then she asked for ss# my name and loan # i said what are yours. then i ***g up.
Betty, Steve....... Someone put your number down as their contact info. Feel free to have fun and waste their time especially if you do not have a loan with them. I do it with telemarketers all the time: I'll talk to them with accents and tell them about irrelevant things (I got a new dog and it ***s on yellow grass, but how does it know if the grass is yellow, dogs are colorblind) see what I mean. If they call during dinner I'll chew in their ear and tell them what I'm eating. **** THEIR TIME WITH BU***HIT!!!! It also makes for entertaining recordings. Don't get mad at ****** people..... Be entertained by them!
Like D said; they purchase mortgages from other lenders typically high risk loans. This is a subsidiary company owned by Wells Fargo to handle a portion of their "side" loan operations (bought out loans that lenders do not think total interest will be payed on). This is Wells Fargo way of "gambling": paying a lender a way smaller percentage than what will be payed out during the term of the loan; lender gets extra cash faster, Wells Fargo hopes to recoup more than they payed to buy loan. Bottom line: They want your property to resell, or the cash they spent buying the loan plus at least 80%. It's done more than we would like!!! **** I hate it when I'm right!!!!
This is a mortgage holding company called - America's Servicing company. they do not give Mortgages per sey. This company typically buys out other Mortgages. I have gotten stuck with them twice this way. They nay be your nortgage holder and not even now it.
They have called me twice now in the past week. I have NEVER had a mortgage with them. I contacted my current mortgage company and they said to call the company and find out what they want; however, when you try to call them you have to put in a social security number (which I never give out, and if you're truly my mortgage company, you should already have that on file) or your loan number. Well, idiots, I don't have a loan with you and never did. There is no way to reach a "live person" because this is a scam operation. All they want is to get your social security number and steal your iden***y. Google is full of hits for this *@#@*@*@ scam of a company. Do your research before you call them!
Even when I can reach them and deny having a mortgage, past due or otherwise, they continue to call. Is there no way to stop them? I am on the do-not-call-registry.
said they needed to talk to me about my mortgage, which BTW is not past due.
