Has the fact that we are in a recession and people are loosing their jobs left right and center never ocured to you as a reason why so many people are defaulting on their debts? The credit card companies take advantage of those in need and make millions off of people's misery. Back in the day it was considered criminal to lend money at interest, no less the disgusting rates of compound interest employed by big banks today. The whole problem has nothing to due with individual's over spending or lack of responsibility. The problem is that the system is built specifically so that people will fall into debt (that is how the big banks and corps make money) It comes down to the fact that all money is borrowed from offs**** banks rather than produced by sovereign nations without inherent debt attached. Nations like Ca***a and the USA gave up their power to create, issue and regulate currency, and this is what the results are. Nations in debt, citizens in debt.
These people should be **** and ***d on. 2-3 calls per day. Most of the time it's not answered, but the times that it is the caller is told to STOP CALLING.Then we get another call later that day.I have an HBC card. It is up to date and fully paid off. I'm not in debt so it's not a debt collector. But they keep calling me with an "amazing time sensitive offer!" Just more **** they want me to buy. We've told them to stop calling and that we are NOT INTERESTED in anything they have to offer, yet the calls keep coming in.
surely you cant be that gullible? convicts? its a good job with reasonable pay. i think the person who is socially challenged is the one lacking the sense of responsibility to take care of their financial obligations. make your payments thats all it takes
HBC Collector is a liar. I've spoken to those people and then gotten a call two hours later. A friend in the banking industry told me that the agency that HBC and Walmart are using hires convicts on parole so they are forced to show up for work because otherwise their parole will be revoked. Is it wonder they are "socially challenged" and when they want personal information it might be to sell it to I.D. thieves that they met in prison. The "HBC Collector" is no doubt an executive from the company, he is a filthy dirtbag just like the employees. They will continue to harass anyone once they get your number even if you pay because they don't credit your payment, they just keep the money and go about their business. They all belong back in jail.
People, we are just doing our job. If you pay your bills on time, we have no reason to call you. And you know what's funny? Most of the people we call are CLUELESS that they have an HBC card until we REMIND THEM. And by then, their credit is affected because they are 4 months late due to the fact they keep insulting us and ****ing up on us. Did you know? All it takes is for you to answer the phone ONCE and an HBC agent will gladly tell you about the status of your account and the reason of the call, and then, the calls STOP. its like magic! If the call isn't for you, then we're not allowed by LAW to discuss the reason of the call, it has to remain CONFIDENTIAL between the compagnie and the client. Can you imagine if we called and told your mother about how late your card is? Yeah, that sounds great.YES we call at 8 am. THATS RIGHT. And you know why? Because most of the time a) its the best time to reach people, and b) because we wake up at 6am to get to work, trust us, we don't mind calling you. And yes, its LEGAL. Oh its also legal for us to call until 9pm.And the amount of times we are allowed to call you during the day, if you DON'T pick up your phone? 8. Thats right 8 times! If you have any questions regarding your hbc credit card please contact us at 1-800-667-4363Thank you have a good day.
They've been calling me non stop too- turns out that they were looking for someone else with my name. No apologies, nothing. It was a pretty huge****umption to make on their part, seeing as I have one of the most common last names around. At least they now know that I'm not the person they should be harassing. Apologies to the next person on the phone list that has the same name...
This is what happened to me yes****ay/today and I went on HBC credit website and sent in the following complaint:SUBJECT: (you have to choose one) CORPORATE ENQUIRIESS****ing yes****ay you began ****** calling my home line (Friday evening and early Sa****ay morning). I contacted your number and asked who you are and why you are ****** calling me. Your rep indicated that you were looking for some lady I have never heard of. I advised that I have no outstanding credit, and regardless, I would never subscribe to store cards. I have owned my telephone number for 13 years and I want the harrassment stopped. I indicated that I would alert Do Not Contact and your rep advised that it is not telemarketing so I indicated that if it doesn't stop I will file a police report for harrassment. Your rep said "you do what you have to and we'll do what we have to". So now I will and I will make sure everyone knows about this harassment of a totally innocent person by your organization. You did not have to be rude on top of your mistake, you could have apologized! My number you are harrassing is so check your records and remove it now.The website I complained on is: http://www.hbc.com/contactus/contact-us.asp?langid=en&src=hbcCaller ID: 800-667-4363Caller: HBC Credit

This number has been calling my house for months, s****ing as early as 7:30am, and as late as 8:30pm. They never leave a message, but call at least 6 times every day. What course of action can I take?
I don't even have an HBC card. They keep calling me.
I get calls from them all day long on the cell phone and home phone my payments are up to date but the keep calling it is really bugging me I can block the number on the home phone but how do you block on a cell number....
calling from 8am to 9 pm 9 times a day is harassment. does'nt matter if you are late with a payment, calling 9 times and day is not gonna make the payment come in any faster. just saying , who the***** do you think you are calling me and not leaving a call back number to call back when i have the time. grow up collecters, its not the end of the world, and i might add you would'nt have a job if it was'nt for people paying their bill late due to harassment and dumb***** like you. soon you will be out of a job, the laws are going to c****e and companies will not be aloud to call more then once a day or week. :D put that up your lazy **** sitting on a phone all day bugging people who make more money then you :)
Does the number s**** with a 10# then shows 667, then # 4363?I'm not involved with HBC, nor do I owe money. Someone called me onceand said that it was a guy in the U.S.A. No subject line.I only answered because they let the phone ring between 20 and 30 timesin one call. (By, the way, I don't even live in the U.S.A., so "a guyin the U.S.A." sounds quite strange to me.
Okay!!! This number calls my Home phone, I **** Up, then it calls my cell#. How annoying is that
That's what screening calls is all about!I leaving my ringer off cause these *****s keep calling. It's obviously a computer program that redirects you if you actually answer
Please don't call a***n, I'm sick at a hospital. I need to recuperate; if you're calling about my unpaid bills, whatsoever, as soon as I get out of here, I will pay it, but in the meantime, let me rest.
just phoned a minute ago, i'm so registering on the CRTC don't call me list.http://207.236.117.76/index-eng.html
It is HBC Credit card service - call us every morning 8:20 - never answer or leave a message. The most ignorant kind of customer service!
call every day, every hours, No answers?
that number called twice this morning. When I asked why they were calling 8am on a Sa****ay, he replied "just doing my job" ***????????
I keep getting phone calls during the day and am unable to answer the phone. If you are not going to leave a messege don't bother calling me!!!! I am aware of everything with my account, I don't need some idiot telling me what I already know.
they are probably trying to sell you a service such as protection from iden***y theft or life insurance. The buy the contact names from creditors and are very agressive in pursuing sales.I agree there should be more laws regarding phone solicitation. I pay for my phone for my personal use with my money, advertisers can hit me on the radio the tv and every site I go to on the internet why should they have the right to harrase me at home. If I wanted their product I would have bought it already so leave me alone.Unfortunatly most of the calling companies are located offs**** and therefore are not governed by our laws and there is little you can do. The only thing you can do which has been somewhat effective is to contact your phone provider and report the number and let them know you do not wish to be contacted a***n by these ppl. Your phone provider will send a letter to them asking them to stop. Unfortuatly that is only good till the contact list is resold.Good luck
I do not have an HBC card, and I never have. The only credit card I have is Visa and I have never missed a payment. I only got the **** thing 2 months ago!I've been getting calls from 1-800-667-4363 every day several times a day for the past few months. We're talking 7 or 8 times or more in the same day, sometimes twice in the same hour. The calls can s**** at 8:00am and continue through til 9pm. I never answer and there's never a message. I tried the #### trick and it doesn't work.why are they harassing me??
They called me at least twice a day for the last couple of days. I finally decided to answer and the guy said he was calling -FOR- HBC The Bay/Zellers Credit Card. I have one payment late and I told them I was going to make that payment next week, then he just verified my address and he ***g up before I could say goodbye. They want to know when you are planning to make a payment to put your account up to date.
It's HBC credit services and they call way too often....should be some law a***nst how many times they can call.
They are calling my Cell number too. I get told by automated message to wait for the next available representative. Eats my airtime, so I **** up.
Called all the sa****ay... never left a message too
Called today.......never left a message
I get phone calls everyday for the past 2 weeks or so. I don't answer them and they don't leave messages.
