Leave a CommentIt is Amex. I thought it was a scam because they called saying I was in arrears when I new that was not correct. I am afraid I was a tad profane with the gent, told him not to call back and that I only was ever contacted by Amex by mailand then ***g up on him, as I was sure it was a fraud. After reading this site and finding out it WAS AMEX called them and found that they posted the payment to the wrong account. Not only was I not in arrears, I had a credit! Oh, and I did apologize for my language on the previous call. Live and learn.
Panasonic has a call block feature on a number of their cordless phones. Works great and you don't have to subscribepay for that service with your phone company.
I did what you did once and guess what... they sent my "case" to an agency! Bell was billing me for my cell phone every month which I had never asked, I was buying prepaid cards on my own! Finally, I had to pay ... $1000 the guy from the agency seemed well aware of the AMEX way to get you into trouble...those things can ruin your reputation!
it's AMEX,courtesy call from acct. recievable.Just to 'remind' the preson to make payment or arrrangement,to protect a***nst getting a bad credit. When payment or arrangements have been made, ask to turn these calls off, they will do so and apologize.
They called a***n and some ****** b***h left a message to call. It's Amex all right. Like I said, last month I had a credit. I have prepaid paying with a bunch of places and I just switched them over to Visa. Kiss my a**.
I picked up the phone and there was ***ody there. Then it rang a***n and I****umed it was some idiot so I picked it up and s****ed to curse them out and then ***g up. Last month I had a credit on my bill and I was told not to pay anything as they'd over-billed me. I cannot imagine what they'd be phoning about.
This number continually calls my cell asking for someone other then myself. I have told them they have wrong number. Continue to call and leave **** ups on my answering ma****e which is costing me money!
These calls are coming from a hacker type person[s], which is s****ing AMEX toll free line as the caller ID. They are set up though an automated dialing system to call you a***n and a***n, and it's using a s****card to c****e the caller ID so they can jam up American Express's toll free line. American Express can't stop it from their end because the calls are not originating from them. A way to stop the calls is to *57 right after one of these calls to trace the call and report it to your phone providers fraud department. Please note there might be a service charge to use this feature, it all depends on your phone plan.

This company call us 2 time, but the message is in english. registrated message and off. I don't how.DATE 25-05-2009 AT 20:49 AND 20:59
8006686500 keeps calling me from 7 in the morning, every hour on the hour. It's Amex trying to get me to pay up! Too bad they cut off my limit and raised my fees and interest until I couldn't pay it anymore. Now they're out of luck. Unfortunately I have to either turn off my phone (my only communication with my children!) or be woken up during the night, harassed all day, etc. And they never speak to me when I answer, anyway! GRRRR!Why don't phones have a "block current caller" option? Don't we have the technology yet to block incoming phone numbers? Or are we not allowed to have such amazing advancements and therefore must be harassed at companies' whims?
I phoned the number back, and it is AMEX. The reason why people get dead air when they answer is that AMEX uses an automatic dialer, and it takes them a minute to pick up the phone after someone answers. It seems to me that these automatic dialers are common a**** cold-callers. Therefore, if I don't get an answer right away, I quickly **** up, knowing that they will come on in a minute to bug me.
call you a lots of times each day
