Leave a CommentJust got a call from this National Provider Compliance Corporation stating that they sent out medicare information on the local medicare c****es effective 7/1/11 and they need a call back. So googled and found all these complaints from awhile back. I guess they are still trying to scam people.
First of all learn how to spell surgeon! Second, I attended this seminar in Colorado and all though the products were a scam, all I saw were people that were in billing and coding positions that had no reason to hold those positions. Dealing with Medicare is easy, as long as you have all your ducks in row and know what you are doing as a biller or coder the claims get paid. As the person below said, check your facts. I enjoyed the seminar and received a great deal of information and was able to keep up with what was being said and it made sense. Now those of you who bought the package, I am sorry there is no cure for ******ity....Make sure you know what you are getting into before you commit, just like the position that you were not qualified for in the first place. Coding is hard and the sequencing can be difficult, if one is having trouble I suggest you take a class to learn coding and billing not a seminar. For the 2013 c****es, do not worry, if you do your reading on the new books and take advantage of the free training CMS has on-line, you will be just fine. My God people use your head, not your wallets!!
I disagree that there's "no point in repeating complaints". When I'm looking for so****ing that may be a scam, the more hits or relevent topics on the subject, the easier it is to find, and the more prominently displayed for all to see that it IS a scam, especially for those who might not be so computer savvy. I would say complaints like this would also bolster incidences of abuse if/when this company is being investigated. Complain away!!!
The point is, this company leads you to believe that they will actually provide you with the "education" and information when you attend one of their seminars. Bottom line, they do nothing of the sort. They get you all hyped up and give you a teaser...just enough info to entice you into buying their kit...which is extremely over priced. After the first 15 min. into the presentation, I could tell their intentions. I spoke with another attendee at the break and we both expressed how we felt it was a sham and not as it was 'sold'. The presenter speaks so fast....fast enough that taking notes is virtually impossible. All I got from it, is that Insurance companies will try to ***** you and Medicare is a pain to work with. Well, that was a news fla*** ;-)Save your money folks!! There are plenty of help books you can buy on coding and billing for much, much less.
I went to the conference in RI . You can either attend or not . Don't spend your time bashing a company offering services to further your education . I clearly asked "are you Medicare?" and with no hesitation was I informed that they are a private healthcare Co. Sponsoring the local medicare c****es seminar. I did not get the idea she was impersonating a gov. Agency. Use Your Head. Good job NPCC.
U have enough time to complain get ur facts straight
Received a voicemail at my office from "Mindy at The National Provider Compliance". Yes, that is how she identified her employer-- "THE national provider compliance"-- she did not add "corporation" at the end of the name. This made it sound like they are a governmental agency, rather than a private company, which I'm sure is exactly what she/they was hoping I would think. She stated that she is calling about upcoming local c****es to Medicare compliance, and-- get this-- stated that she "REQUIRES" a call back from me. I'm glad I did an internet search and found this site before I so. These people are evil. I am not sure if it is illegal to impersonate a governmental agency and instruct physicians that the must return your call, but if not, it should be.
I went to the 'seminar' a week ago. 4 hours wasted. This is a sham. 150.00 wasted, as far as I'm concerned. They did not live up to what they said they would do and teach. They didn't talk about the new ICD10 coding at all and they said they would. They just want you to buy their "kit" for $600.00. I learned a huge lesson. My advice....save the money.
This company continues to leave messages that state we are required to return the phone call. 800-669-3328 x 44. They're trying to see if we are compliant with a new Medicare law coming up in July. I just called and asked that our phone number be taken off of their calling list.
Got a call from this company I called back and spoke to Kim and was told they were having a medicare compliance conference at the Holiday Inn Express in Atlanta, I called the hotel and was told there was no such conference scheduled for Nov 13. I called the number back and the lady tried to reassure me that the conference was scheduled, I did a search of the company and phone number and saw other complaints. I believe it is a scam!
Reiceived a call from "Nicole" with National Provider Compliance regardingc****es with the Local Medicare codes. Left a msg. to please call her backat the above #.I googled the company and saw the complaints.I will not be returning this call, it's obviously a scam.

I received a message from Miss ****ingham, stating she was from National Provider Compliance, regarding reimbur*****t update for Medicare. Call back # 800-669-3328 Xt 60. I had recently received an email from my clearing house that there was a scam going on. So this made me cautious. Found this site and others that confirm my su****ions.
"Miss Green" told my receptionist she wanted to know if we had "received a specific letter from Medicare." I called back and their phones were closed, but the automated message said "National Provider Compliance Corporation."
They continue to call when asked to cease. This is a telemarketing company that should be banned!
I just received a call. The caller provided the above phone number and said "I require a call back on this." The company is National Provider Compliance Corporation. Looks like they provide seminars and training materials for Drs., etc.
I have no relationship with this company. There is no reason for them to call me. Especially on my cell number.
