Sorry John you are probably one of the scammers we got a door ****er asking us to call it is a scam
it's not a scam. it is countrywide's collections department. they have to be ***ue with the message because of the sensitive nature of the call. if you get a call from that # it means your mortgage payment has not been received.
I got a message at work that said "please call 1-800-669-6654, we are a collection agency.". When I called the number, the only options were to enter a social security number and zip code.
I had a voicemail at work to call this number back. I called back, and it asked for my social security or acct number. I REFUSE to give my ss# out to anyone! I do have an account with Countrywide, but no one ever identified themselves as being from Countrywide.
They called me and asked me about how i was doing with my loan for my home??????I RENT my home!!!! So I tried calling back and the system took me trough the dog and pony show.Finaly spoke with a rep. they could not help me and then transferd me to customer service.I held on the phone for about 20 min and was ***g up on.This happend three times.I then called once more ordering to s***k with a supervisor to find out what this is all about.Once a***n they ***g up on me .(((COWARDS)))
THIS SOUNDS LIKE A PURE SCAM.If you call back, you can't talk to a real person and all you are supposed to do is enter your SSN and zip. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Don't do it.
I got message at work "it's business please call back anyone can help" when I called it was an automated system and it identified itself as "Loan Administration" and " A collection agency" gave me the SS# and Zip options only ....... I ***g up!
Got a call from this number. Our mail was stolen so I thought it might be in regard to that. I DID leave my SS# and zip after which the number disconnected me! Not good.

I have heard of this scam. As a reminded, if anyone gets a call from a creditor, call the company at a number that you have on file. Not one that is left on a voice mail.
