Calls every day, never leaves message. I do not pick up.

Call frequently at night at 9:00 pm.

I signed up and paid $25-$35 monthly to the organizations CALPIRG, Environment California, and Human Rights Campaign. When one of my credit cards expired, after I had paid several ***dred dollars to each, I decided to support other organizations instead and just let my "membership" lapse. I've been ****arded with calls from this and similiar numbers, typically half a dozen every night. These people just want your cash and are very aggressive about it. I am posting this to warn others a***nst signing up for monthly memberships to these charities.Note: Looks like 672 3012 is Environment California, 672 3014 Calpirg (?). Some thanks for donating you guys $500+!!

STOP CALLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been having the same problem trying to get off their call list. They never left messages, and left no other options except the falsely-leading voicemail greeting saying to leave phone number but then another message saying their mailbox is full.

They called me after bedtime and I nearly had a heart attack. No one calls us after 8 p.m. as we rise at 4 A.M. to get to work.

When I caslled them back I got the recording saying "Fund for public interest". When I tried to do the "leave # if you want to NOT be called, I got a message that said " the mailbox is full.

Called at 8:34 pm asked "Is this (enter my first name here)" and then the connection went to fuzz and dropped. I'm not answering it next time.

Same as above. I get a call every day in the evening. No one on the line if I answer. No message left. I just called Environment California directly and spoke to a very nice lady who apologized and promised to place me on their do not call list. It took less than a minute and so far, it's worked. Try going directly to the source-- if you don't know how FFPIR got your number, ask them which group they're calling on behalf of. Charities don't want this kind of bad blood! so I'm sure they'll be helpful if you contact them directly.

Ok everybody, there is a way to work on this. You need to go back to the "Do Not Call" registry and file a complaint a***nst the phone number and company. Provide specific details. Describe the harassment. The registry builds a database of complaints and keeps the Federal Trade Commision (FTC) informed. Take a bite out of the harassment.

This company calls multiple times a week and even after telling them to take me off of their contact list they never do. If I don't answer they don't leave any message. PLEASE MAKE THEM STOP CALLING!!!

This is the 1-800 number of Fund for the Public Interest, and I****ume they are calling for fundraising purposes. I get at least one call a day from this number; they never leave a message and they **** up if I answer. I have no idea how this technique is supposed to raise money for them, but they seem determined to stick by it. I've called their business office twice to ask them to stop calling me, and both times they've promised to stop. But they keep calling. As many others have said, it's a shame that an organization that does good work is using such an annoying ****od to try and raise funds.

First of, Environment CA is a scam organization. They mistreat and lie to their employees. Second, the money they collect doesn't go towards their said causes, but rather into the pockets of the people at the top of the scheme. Did you know these people earn commission off of your donations...upwards of 30%? I have told this group to stop calling me several times, to take me off their calling list and they won't. They call me at least once a day, for the past 6 weeks. I wish I could find a way to get them to stop calling me.

This is about the fifth different unsolicited phone number I have complained about today. Typically there is no ID and never a message on my answering ma****e. Like al the other numbers thay call every day, sometimes more than once.

Sunday night almost 9pm didn't leave a message

Was called 6 times the last 6 days. Rejected it every single time because the 2-second delay on the pick-up gives it away that it's either an annoying telemarketer or some political ****** who's broke as***** and stuck with this phone gig.

I find it annoying that they call me and the name is unavailable. That makes me unavailable. Isn't caller ID wonderful.

These folks have been bugging me a tremendous amount in the last couple of weeks.  I've actually been receiving up to 3 or 4 calls in a day!!  I finally called the number that appeared.  I got a recorded message telling me to call their information number at (202)683-1250 (of course it's NOT toll free).  In any case, I did call the 2nd number & actually got a live person.  I told her that I had been receiving many calls & **** ups & asked her to remove us from their list.  I'm hoping this did the trick!  It's too bad these folks are such pests, as I think some of these organizations do some really good work.  I think the excessive calling is a deterrent!

I get 1 or 2 calls a day for the past 4 weeks, ever since I donated money to an environmental charity. The charity obviously sold or gave away my number. I will never give money to any charity now.

Caller calles between 8:20 and 9:15 everynight. When I have answered to have them stop calling there is no one there. Anyway to get rid of them?

might be from "fund for the public interest" which is a non profit which is why they can call and call and call even though we are listed on do not call logs. They leave no messages and do not reply when I answer the phone. I've searched the internet and found many other people angry with this same number for very similar reasons.

Didn't notice how much these vultures had called until I just put the number in memory.  They've called 9 times in the last month, usually around the time of 8:36 pm.I think it is some environmental group.  I (unfortunately) donated to Environment of California once, and they're notorious giving away phone numbers.The next time they call, just answer and (assuming you get a person), tell them to stop calling you; remove your phone number from their call list.  If they s**** droning on like a broken record about whatever-the-heck their cause is, just interrupt them and repeat telling them not to call you.  Then **** up.  You're en***led to being blunt, since they're the ones that have been harassing people for so long.If they call back, ask to speak with their supervisor, and repeat the above.

lol ***... I just googled this number and seen this page. I can't believe that these people are doing this. I belong to one charity and that is Environmental group of California. I think they are at fault for the constant calls I have been receiving from this group. I think all the charities united in giving out our numbers. Has anyone answered there calls? If so, have they stopped calling? I'm tempted but scared...

I've only gotten two calls from them, and I haven't answered. I didn't know who they were, and I'm on the do not call list, so I didn't some research and found plenty of websites like this one. I just wanted to add myself to the list of people being harassed. I'm sure they'll pick up with the calls from what I read here.

Actually, it's a non-profit environmental group looking for donations, but using this annoying tactic to get them. TO WEBSITE ADMIN: Default phone number owner is misspelled: "unknow" instead of "unknown".

If its FFPIR (the Fund for Public Interest Research), they are a legitimate environmental and consumer advocacy group and do some really good work - but its really unfortunate that they are using this tactic to try to raise money - its obnoxious and turns people off to their work.

answered/call almost every day/said they are exempt form DNC listbecause they are a charity, so****ing about the enviroment.Smells like a scam to me-said do not call a***n-we'll see.

Is there no organization that regulates 800/866 numbers?  I mean, can't we complain to SOMEONE that we're being harassed by these organizations who are fully taking advantage of their status of being exempt from the Do-Not-Call List?  We're being HARASSED, not just in volume but in **** ups.  SO *****ING FRUSTRATING!

First time they called, I answered and they ***g up without saying anything. (Trying to see if I would answer?)  Now they call every day around 4:30 p.m.  I won't answer this call a***n.  Very aggravating!
