I'm a director in a very small community for the local chamber - I've been getting calls from this number looking for another director! I'm upset that I have to handle collection calls (if this is what it is) for a totally unrelated person whom I barely know!
This person keeps calling regarding an "important business matter" and does not leave their company name nor tells who they are--no name. The message is pre-recorded. I say do not respond 'cause the call is not only a solicitation, but it could be a scam too. In this economy, when more people are out of work and out of money, those collection agencies or others of similar type s**** cashing in, terrorizing unemployed Americans.

A guy has been calling my house and has the right last name but totally off on the first name, not even close. Says he has good news and it is not a solictation calls as stated from others here. I tried calling the number and it just rings an rings, no pick up answering ma****g or voice mail service. Now, that just tells me this company is not on the up and up. Shady dealings going on here I tell you. They will be just stuck on Ignore with me forever.
This is CollectCorp, a Ca***ian collection agency for many credit cards including Chase, Bank of America and Amex. If you have a past due credit card bill, then these folks are the last attempt collection step for the credit card company before the debt is written off and/or sent for legal suit. These folks will settle the debt for cents on the dollar, and take good faith payments to buy you more time.
They called and left message saying they needed to talk with my neighbor (had correct name) about so****ing important. I called back and they didn't have any company information on the answer ma****e. Don't give any information to them, it has to be a scam what company calls for you next door neighbor?
Ignorant, rude person keeps calling saying I owe them thousands. Just keep ****ing up. Someone named Riva and Mr St Paul
Call me today and asked for my mother in laws phone number and asked if my husband has a brother name Joe . If you loan out money you should have all the information you need I should not have to give you the phone number. I took down the phone and name from the person calling and said I would have her call you back
It's crazy. They called everyday. Won't say their company name. Just ignore them. DONOT give any information to them. They are rude and nasty.
I too have been getting frequent calls from this number. They will NOT identify themselves nor the company they represent, saying just that it's about an important business matter. Don't know about the rest of the world, but I don't do business with anonymous ****s who won't identify themselves nor the company for which they work. We don't answer "out of area" calls either.
I am getting these, too. Same as everyone else - it's a real person (always a different person, though), but they all say exactly the same thing (not a telemarketer, important business matter, blah blah, with no company information). It s****ed out of the blue a few weeks ago and they have called every single day since it began - including Sa****ays and Sundays.
Add me to the list of receiving these annoying calls. Several times a day/7 days a week. The caller is a real person vs an automated message and says the same things as everyone else has reported: not telemarketing, important business matter. I have not and will not call them back as to not draw further attention to myself.
I have been getting calls from this number for a while now, today I got one and it sounded like a personal message, the girl said her name was Tara Dorch... or so****ing like that, regarding "a personal business matter that requires your immediate attention" blah blah... It's definitely not the Bank Of America number I have dealt with in the past.
I got a call today from this number (800-678-3046). No message left. I called back and the woman said she's from "Bank of America" and wanted the exact spelling of my name, address and social. I then called the number on Bank of America's website (800-732-9194) and they were not able to verify that this number belongs to them, and the agent was not very interested in my story!
I received an automated call from this number. I called back and when I actually was transferred to a representative I found out it's regarding a Bank of America credit card.
same thing happened with me. they called me and left no information about their company . said it was regarding a important buisness letter and it was not a solicitation. i agree very shady. any time i get through to them they disconnect me . they call me every day though at the same time havent gotten a chance to answer it yet since they usually call me while im at work but its getting pretty annoying
Regarding a personal business matter that needs immediate attention.
I called this number back and all it says is, "Thank you for calling card services. You will now be transferred to the next available representative." I disconnected. If they can't identify their company on the voice mail they leave they don't deserve a call back. It probably is a solicitation.
Got a call about "important business". The automated message stated it was not a solicitation call. They called at 845pm on a Friday which is really shady to me, if not rude.
