Leave a CommentI have gotten multiple phone calls within the past day about a federal criminal offense saying that this is their last attempt to reach me and to call back to speak to a federal agent. I looked it up because 1: I don't have a criminal record and 2: I was pretty sure that the government isn't going out of their way to tell me that I have a warrant. IT IS A SCAM.

SCAM asking for money for 3 months worth of PAID bills to Georgia Power.
Called and gave a number to call Georgia Power as power is in jeopardy at our store. "Georgia Power" stated that past 3 months of payments had not been posting even though they were paid online. Said that someone was in route to cut it off in the next 20-30 minutes. Requested full amt to avoid interruption. Phone kept going in and out. The real GA Power confirmed SCAM .
Called claiming to be PG&E, said our power would be turned off within 30 minutes because we didn't respond to a letter 10 days ago and that a technician would be out here in the "previously discussed time frame".
TELL US THEY ARE CALLING FROM DISPATCHER FOR PG&E AND THEY WANT TO LET US KNOW THEY ARE TURNING POWER OFF IN 30 MINUTES. BUT HE DOESN'T HAVE ACCT #'S YOU HAVE TO CALL ANOTHER NUMER
