Leave a CommentFirst of all I find it weird that the OP has the same name as me, but I also received this message on 04-01-10 and just****umed it was a scam (especially since none of my cards s**** with 4626). Generally when providing account numbers they give the last 4 digits anyway... Does everyone who received this message have Sprint (I do)?
They called my cell.
the way they use your number is called S****tel. It is a service that you can use on line and type any number that you want to appear on someone's caller id
DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER. IT IS A WAY FOR A THEFT....THEY ARE ASKING FOR INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR DEBIT/CHARGE CARD AND WILL ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT. BEST BET IS TO CONTACT YOUR BANK AND LET THEM KNOW THE NUMBER AND THE INFORMATION.
I got a text form that number as well. It was from Wells Fargo and i dont even have an account there.
I got a call from this number also. Coop cu alert.
I just got the same one. Make sure you don't reply to it unless you are going to text the word "stop" because it could be trying to get you subscribed to a monthly short text fee
We received the same text as Ann Arbor Chaz on both of our T-Mobile phones. Clearly a scam.
I got the same text as A2Chaz - also on a Verizon mobile
I got the identical text so I came online and googled the number. Seemed fishy from the get go
I got a text message that appeared to come from my own number. The message read:COOP Services CU Alert: Your CARD s****ing with 4626 has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 800-694-1256 to REACTIVATE your CARD.I knew immediately that this is some sort of phishing scam. I called Verizon, but they could not tell me how someone could send me a text from my own number.
