I just got a call from this number and let it go to voice mail while I googled it and found this forum.  Yes, it was a message from PetSmart - to thank me for my business and to extend general holiday greetings.  I wouldn't really call this "advertising" - it strikes me more like a nice touch from a company that seems to be trying to go the extra distance to set themselves apart during tough economic times.

I just received a call from this  800-699-8654, I called them back, and you can remove your number from their list, just follow the prompts, it was simple and done in less than one minute

I picked up and then ***g up they called back within 10 minutes. I don't pick up on 800 numbers and I have put my number on the no call registry, which works for a short time.

When I see 800 numbers I pick up and **** up without saying anything, most of the time it helps, but not with this number they called back in 10 minutes.  I take my pet to PETSMART, have my number but that doesn't give them the right to be bothering me.

I called this number back.  It is PetSmart with some announcement about an upcoming sale.  Seems to be easy to "opt out" from receiving future calls.
