Got called today from this number, was in a meeting and i called back. They had 3 transactions on my check card they had already declined which i confirmed was not authorized by me. Never asked me for anything they recognized the number I was calling from and the cust. service rep. addressed me by my first and last name and asked me to confirm if xyz was still my zip code. Having said all that, I had to confirm this was Wellsfargo so called 8009564442 - one of the numbers listed on their website and had this confirmed. I will have my new card arrive in next 7 - 10 business days.

Fraud..I swiped my card and the screen went blank, so cashier swiped on register and it went thru fine...this # called me seconds later and requested my info, so I ***g up and called Wells Fargo directly and they said a legit Wells Fargo doesn't need to ask for your account info cuz they already have it..definitely fraud.

Completely fraud. I don't even bank w Wells Fargo and they were adamant that I had unauthorized use on my debit card and wanted the number and security code

This is valid. Wells Fargo did not ask for any info aside from my zip, and confirmed five purchases I made that day - because of a declined purchase (I entered the code on the back of the card incorrectly for a $500 purchase), they wanted to make sure no one stole my card. This number is safe.

I got a call from this number. I called it back because I did have unauthorized activity on my account. They voided my card and sent me another one. However, before getting my new card I was getting nervous thinking "***, maybe that was a scam call, too". So I called Wells Fargo's number from their website, and they verified that it was them. I got my new card today so I know it was legit. I am seeing mixed responses on these sites and I don't know if scammers use this number, too. Luckily for me it was WF. In short: Call Wells Fargo from your card just to be safe.

called the number on back of card and they informed me that this was NOT a wells fargo number and when they call there is indentification on caller id, this number had UNAVAILABLE. Wells Fargo instructed me to always call number on card or statement. We've received fraud alerts before but an account name is used and caller id shows wells fargo.

Call is REAL. . . Wells Fargo had a erroneous chg on my wife's debit card. . The chg was a computer glitch from AZ Charlies RV Park here in Las Vegas. . . Everything is OK now. . .

It's totally legit folks. If they called you it's because someone tried to, or did, fraudulently use your card. Call them back. You can call the bank's main number.

This call came 10 min after when I made a out of state purchase. Asking me if I made the purchase or was my card stolen. That's pretty cool

This is NOT a Wells Fargo number. Don't believe me or anyone. Call the bank directly or you might get scammed.

ignore my previous comment. this is a legit automated call from Wells Fargo. Mea culpa.

This call came the same day I discovered three small f fraudulent charges on my Wells Fargo account. I did not answer it and no message was left. If it is indeed an automated phishing scam as others have suggested, it clearly coincided with these charges as part of a scam to obtain personal information. I reported this number to Wells Fargo's fraud department.

This is real. Wells Fargo wanting me to review some possible fraudulent charges. Call came 2 hours to late. My card was blocked and declined and I already took care if it. As always make sure you use the number in your bank card. They provided a different one.
