Some loser called me from 800 712 3000. Put them on the defensive and the guy ***g up on me. So they spam call you but can not handle being asked questions.
I suspect you made a mistake in dialing the number you wanted. The recording directing you to the 800-712-3000 number appears to be a catch all for non-existent numbers. Same thing happened to me; but by calling my provider (and checking my redial log), I was able to verify that I had transposed a couple of digits and had dialed an unused number.
I got a call today with a recording claiming to be my student loan holder. When I called the number , another message to me to call 800-712-3000. It was answered by a recording that said it was Verizon! Creeps freaking me out about my student loan!
This number goes through to Comcast if you go thru enough prompts to talk to a person..called it today
