Left message on landline stating that they were calling from the "Special Olympics"... It sounds like a "phishing" scam to me.

Keep getting calls from this number and the caller ID states it is Special Olympic

This showed up in my caller idea as "Not Provided". I called back and got a recording that said they were raising money for the Special Olympics and to call a different number if you wanted to speak with someone. I called that number, and the lady politely removed me from the calling list.

Recorded message, Annoying repeat calls at mealtime, etc. Pain in the a__!!

I never talk to these frauds because I **** up on them before they even have the chance to speak.  During the day I take the phone off the hook.  I'm getting rid of my landline and will be done with them.  I don't care who they are, I WILL NOT and DO NOT give donations over the phone to ANYONE.  PERIOD!  If I want to give to so****ing I will take the ini***ve and come to you.  To the people who make these calls, quit wasting your life and my time, it will get you no where.

This group calls at least 3x a week. I answered this morning (at 9 am on a Sa****ay) and informed the ditz on the other end that I was on the Do Not Call registry. She said, "Oh, I'm sorry 'bout that!" and then proceeded to launch into her spiel. Not very impressive.

None have matched the actual caller.  They also s**** themselves as your neighbors. Advice: take your bill or some proof to the phone provider and have them trace.  If you owe money or have ever in the past, you can bet places like these will be faking themselves as someone else to get the data they need. This is a scammer... they can be calling from anywhere in the world. Do not give your info to them.NO real way to fight this, unless you can somehow block the number through your phone company.

If you continuously call, at least have the courtesy to leave a voice mail. This is a prime example of why we don't answer not provided/unknown callers.  Really, really irritating

"Does the 'do not call list' mean nothing to these people?" We have a winner! The national Do Not Call registry is not intended for charities. It probably also doesn't work well on scammers. You decide which one this is.

These people constantly call.  I don't care if they are Special Olympics or not.  Donations are made by me locally and for sure not over the phone.  They say they want to fill magazine subscriptions.  HA!  No way am I giving Credit Card info to someone I don't know.  Besides.......more than half the time telemarketers, etc use inmates to do their calling.  What's up w/ that?  A***n - no way is anyone getting my financial info.I'm totally sick of calls like this - what good are do not call lists!!!!!!!!!

shows CT SPECIAL OLYMPICS on the ID, they call all hours of the morning when we are trying to sleep before getting up frm work, INCLUDING WEEKENDS! ***? im on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST!  when i called back the # on the ID it says to call 866-544-4880 to speak to a rep, did so & spoke to KAYLA, who was very kind & helpful & told me she will remove our # frm their contact list.

My caller id lists this number as "Special Olympics". They haved called repeatedly, while I am away. I am on the Do Not Call List and have selected that option because I do not take solicitations over the phone and they should be honoring my choice. This is very disruptive.
