I just got one too. Sounds like a collections scam (aka: Zombie Debt). It's typically a bogus, phamtom debt (or perhaps an ancient one that is over the legal limit and may not be yours but they're trying to find someone to peg it to) and they're trying to intimedate people into paying. It's harrassment and it's illegal. My friend got one last year from another company. Same tactic. When he got someone live, it was about an old magazine subscription (which he never had). When he asked for do***ented proof, they ***g up.Legit bill collectors will send you a certified letter and try to make first contact, not a call from out of the blue.
