find out CIBC customer
stop calling
CROC dont give personnal information
Keep called me many times. I picked up some, but no there.
Caller claiming to be from CIBC and looking to verify my information on hand. I don't even have a CIBC account.
Well, believe it or not, I did call that number and spoke with a legit CIBC staff who confirmed that they had called me and that every question I qualified as ****** in my previous message is indeed in their protocol AND that they already have the answers to those preliminary silly questions like "What do you use your credit card for?" Come on, next question please! We had a good laugh and I am now convinced that it was not a scam but a rather silly protocol. What a waste of time and resources. At least he promised to tell his boss to read all the "praise" messages posted about their phone number and their protocol on the Web. Here stops my contribution to a better world ... LOL.
I got that bizarre call tonight and it sounded very much like a scam. Very articulate, very polite, but give me a break, what ****** questions! What do i use my CIBC credit card for, how do I pay (at a bank or on line, etc.) More fishy than that you die! I simply told him that if he was truly from CIBC he had already in front of him the answer to all his questions and knew more about my card statistics than myself. Since I do not believe CIBC to be that silly, I politely told him I had my doubts about that call being a true CIBC call, and he replied that if I preferred I could be called directly from the bank offices. I politely put an end to the call. I am sure it is a scam, the only other option is that CIBC stands for Completely Inept Banking Company,
Called it back - it is CIBC - but they keep you on the phone and really try to dig for information pertaining too insurances, banking, savings etc. Just **** up... : )
They call me everyday at all time i answer they dont talk they **** on so i stop answering they still call
***k these clowns
always call me at around 6pm
I have banked with CIBC for 30 years. I am going to the bank tomorrow to lodge a complaint about their constant phone calls two or three times a day, everyday. When I ask what they want they ask me all sorts of questions and my information. This is an invasion of my privacy and this is harrassment!!!! I am sick and tired of these calls and intend to take my banking elsewhere. When told to take me off of their list they reply that it may take up to 3 months!! Just remove me from your ****** computer - why does it take that long!!!!! Obviously I am not alone in this complaint after reading all of the letters sent in by other people. Watch out CIBC you wont have anyone to call soon.
I got a call this evening around 7:30pm from 1-800-741-4591. (I am guessing here that an Asian/****ese accented female), very polite, introduced herself as CIBC Rep and launched immediately into asking me personal questions (home address) with an apparent purpose of verifying that she is speaking with the right caller before discussing c****es to my CIBC account. I told her flat out that I had no idea who she was and had no way of verifying her data and would not continue the call. I mentioned that I had no clue whether she was really from CIBC or not and did ***g up before she had a chance to reply.
Could it be a scammer who is pretending to be from CIBC, in order to get your banking information?
Please stop calling I'm about to figure out who is calling and will show up to there door step, seriously, enough is enough. If this keeps up I will leave the ***nch. They use to call often than it stopped and now they s****ed a***n and I'm getting calls everyday right now.
Are there any chance to punish this phone number/company? SO disgusting. It seems no one cares about this holigan.
Called me. My girl friend got suspecious, and told me to put him on hold...Then I s****ed to answer him in a ambiguous way. He figured out and wrap up the conversation.
this number has been calling me for the last 2 weeks. no idea who it is or why they are calling. keep missing it and havent answered. who is it??
Every day for 2 weeks now this # has been calling. Never actually talks to me as it disconnects.
claimed to be CIBC bank doing a survey. could be phishing.
has called 3 times over a period of a week, won't leave a message, and when I say*****o, no one answers...but there's no hook-up like there are with telemarketer calls...just silence.
continuous called me five time today, really hate this kind f***ing service.
Called at 9 PM
They keep calling my cell phone but because I have caller ID I won't answer. They never leave a message. Like above, if its CIBC they may as well give up because it'll be a cold day in***** before they get my business a***n.
I have been receiving phone calls from this number several times already. When I tried to answer at first, there is no one talking so I ***g up. But it keeps calling once in a while!!!
This company has been calling us for 6 months. We have contacted our phone company who told us to call the sheriffs dept. and file a complaint so they could get the phone number and contact this company. The sheriff's dept. gave us this number. I have called it 3 times in the last 3 weeks to get our number removed to no avail.
This number has been calling me everyday for the past number of months. I answered once and there was no one at the other end. If it's indeed CIBC, does anyone know what they want? Annoying.
I just received a call from this number. The man claimed to be calling from CIBC and wanted to ensure that all my financial needs are being met. He then asked me for my postal code and date of birth, however I refused. He insisted that I supply this information and did not understand me when I said I was not interested. I then called the CIBC number on the back of my debit card. The CIBC employee advised my that I have a large sum of money in my chequing account and that often times CIBC calls to discuss financial services offered by the bank. I was also told to call 1-888-831-8818 to find out if CIBC actually did call me.I find it rather "fishy" that CIBC would be calling around eight in the evening (pacific standard time) Also this call originated from Ontario where it is eleven. It's silly, I dont want to bank with them anymore.
This number has called me twice a day for the past week. I picked up once and no one was there so I ***g up. I picked up a second time and it was a customer serive call: 'Chris from CIBC' in Regina. too bad i dumped CIBC a year ago because they were the worst bank ever! Could be a possible security breach, be very cautious if they s**** to ask you questions. Don't 'verify' anything. Just call the PO.
F*** CIBC
f*** cibc
2 times a day everyday for the last four days. i pick up say*****o and they **** up on me. i called cibc and they dont know who it is
I have been getting anywhere from 1-4 calls a day from this number.Who is this?
In Windsor,,,1-4 calls a day! No message.
Not CIBC a***n. I had just finally stop them to call me from another phone number and now they use another new number to bother people a***n. I got this phone call at 7:30pm and is there anyway to stop this terrible phone call? thank you
It's not necessarily a good idea to answer and tell them to put you on this so called 'do not call list'. If you actually answer the phone they now know you are one of the few willing subjects who will, and most likely will call back in due time to harass you some more. Hey, they may just actually con you into buying so****ing...
If the calls truly bother you, it's worth it to pick up and ask them to put you on a do not call list. Dinner time is different for different people. It can range anywhere from 5:00pm - 8:30pm.Companies can call you if they have an existing business relationship with you.And I have heard quite a few people say they wished their banks would call them more. It is actually a common complaint. So, if a call bothers you, say so****ing. Don't **** up. Don't be rude. Just say "I'm not interested, but I'd like it if you could put me on your "do not call" list.As well, check out the company "Ioptout" and look into the soon to be active Ca***ian "Do Not Call" list, for other companies who bother you. In case you're wondering, I don't work for a bank, I just know my rights.
i haven't answer the call but it has been calling me for the past few days...and several times a day.
no message. Called at 7:18 pm
keeps getting this # on her cell, always s****s off with a computer telling her she might get long dis charges, would take forever to listen to the end to put on do not call list,is hearing impaired, afraid to answer the phone because of long distances charges, ends up missing important calls such as when mother died, phone only used for emergency purposes
1800-741-4591 is one of CIBC numbers. I do not understand why CIBC bothers its clients like that way.
thank goodness for this site. they call me ALL the time but i never answer 1800 numbers on my phone or long distant numbers where i know i wouldnt know the person so i figured this one was cibc and i guess i was right! annoying as f*ck
Got the call only once and answered. Caller asked security questions and owner tried to answer questions. They claimed that one of the questions was answered incorrectly and ***g up. There were no calls after that.
The above number has called me for the last 8 days in a row. At first I answered and talked to the rep for a while before ****ing up, then I just ignored it, and now I just pick up and **** up right away when I see it. How do I get this monkey off my back?!
I got this call yes****ay evening like 8 o'clock, when he said sth, i said i did not have time. and he will call me today. i will not pick up this mumber a***n.
8:30 PM, every week.I am getting ****ed off now.
We get this call regular, just like clock work. Its pretty bad when they call your grandmother and ask if they know where you are. I think that is a breach of confidence !!!!How do they get that info???? And where do they get information??
in Windsor, just got the call from 800-741-4591, no message, just shows a missed call. call was received at March 19/08 at 4:50pm
I get this call on average once a week, but most of the time I don't have my cell on me or I **** up on them.
I got the same call tonight, always at diner time in B.c. , I don't trust calls like that, they are annoying. Don't call me, I'l call you or I'll c****e bank. CIBC should have a non-invasive way to deal with their clients. My ***nch shoul phone me if necessary. Thanks. A clint
Yep, sure thing, they are still at it a few days before Xmas at 8h00pm. What a lousy way of trying to do business and even more, it should VERY VERY fishy even though it may not be. If this is how CIBC does business, they are very desperate and may be their customer should s**** worrying and look somewhere else for their financial needs.
I got this number a few times. in Dec 2007...I called it.. and its a CIBC call centre number. Ive read some of the above posts... its not a fake-telemarker, ect, just a lousy corporation trying to sell you some financial products you most likely dont need.Caller ID: 1-800-471-4591Caller: Ca***ian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBCCaller Type: Commercial
They called me many times - it is a CIBC telemarketing.
