Leave a CommentJust today 11/10/2009 the number is back in service, as they called my son with the same info. This is a scam from Nigeria. This needs to be reported to the FBI. Someone needs to stop these criminals. How is it possible they can get away with this? The claim to be with Explore Talent and actually have talent number from the company and user id's from this company and use the name of Eric which is actually a Senior creative director for Explore and they claim they actually have the same ***le.
I think this is a horrible to prey on people convincing them they have real auditions. They need to be stopped. The accent is so horrible you can barely make out a word. All these complaints span a time period of over a year. This time they used the name Ryan Watson (Creative Director) ext 5579.
Is this for real or another rip off targeting the young and yearning to be famous
another Explore Talent.com phone call ...
I was told the same thing. The guy did not even say what agency he was calling from though, which is one thing an reputable agency would never do. People need to understand that reputable agencies never call random people. Especially, not to send them out to auditions for feature films. A reputable agency only calls those they represent and those whose look and talent they are more than familiar with. These people calling random people to send out to casting have a sales pitch behind them. In order to be successful, there is no need to pay for auditions, ever. Real agencies will never ask for money up front and they will never try to sell you websites or business cards. Real agencies also do not use 1-800 numbers, as is the case with this guy. He said his name was Patrick Morris, which is a name that definitely did not match the accent. People, do not be fooled. If you get these types of random calls, google them always.
These freaks called me and asked an insane amount of questions about my son. They even knew his name and I don't know where on Earth from. I was creeped out about it. Asking me his D.O.B., school, ***ual preferences, and everything. These people will be reported to the cops if they call a***n. Utter creeps
I just got a call from this same number. He told me that they wanted to audition me for a feature film produced by Ashton Kutcher's company. This is a complete scam. No reputable agency would call random people for jobs like this. Especially, if they do not know the acting capacities of the person they are calling. Do not fall for this scam. He said his name was Patrick Morris. He had an accent which obviously does not match the name. Be careful out there people. Fortunately, I did not pick up the phone. I just got a pathetic voice message that I could barely understand. It seemed rehe****d too.

I am a booker agenct with a reputable talent agency. Please do not waste your time with this company. They are a scam.
I was called by someone named Shelly Patterson who claimed that I was chosen for an acting audition. She left this number with the extension 5002. The number showed up on my caller I.D. as 556-4. She had such a thick accent I couldn't understand what she was saying.I was supposed to call back that evening at 5:00 but didn't. I finally called back today (4 days later) and the number is now disconnected.I have read other reports on the web about this scam. Had I called back they would have asked me for anything from $250-$2500 for my "audition".

I got 2 calls back-to-back from 2 different *****s that don't speak English very well. One ID said "UNAVAILABLE" the next one a minute later said "Unknown". It seems those scam artists are dumber than***** since they hit me twice on their 'lists'. They both said they were a director and they wanted me to do auditions. One had me auditioning for 'serious parts' while the other one just had me doing 'commercials'. Both said to call back.I am thinking of calling back and playing along and just before sending whatever money is needed, say, 'SIKE this is the BBB'.
ame thing - 'Creative Director' called to say they had auditions for *****en they began to talk about business cards and my own website. Asked me why I wanted to do this. Told me $$ needed to be the #1 reason!! I then got to talk to the 'Creative Director's' superior *** sure, that's they way it works - NOT!)Who went on and on telling me how he didn't have time to go into details (a 20-minute call from someone who doesn't have time????) and that I would receive 30,000 or some such ridiculous number of auditions per month. And guess what? I'd get preference because I had business cards and a Talent Advisor.Silly silly silly. I didn't even wait for the sales pitch. I was having a hard time not laughing! Couldn't even understand what those men were trying to say! Oh, and my eyes- they told me my eyes are brown when they're blue!Plus they kept calling me by my last name, or 'Annie'. I am NOT 'Annie'!Thank you for posting here, because I got a feeling when the call s****ed and Googled the 'agency'. Got this site!!
I also got a call from this number. They said they were "explore Talent" in Hollywood, CA. The man had a heavy accent that I could barely understand. He wanted to talk to my son. They kept calling for my son everyday until I asked them, "I am his mother, What can I help you with?" The man then put another foreign accent man on the line and he said he wanted to activate my son's profile and he wanted me to send $30 in for activation of so****ing. I said "NO" then he ***g up.
