I received a call several times now...  'And just remembered, my Discover bill is late. 8/Yes, it is legit. - Aloha

This is a ligit number for Discovery Credit Card and the operator says some states do not allow the mention of the company. I lodged a complaint with Discovery Credit Card and requested to c****e their way of notifying their customers, as I too thought this was a scam and ignored it for days!.

this is how you get back at them:call them from a public payphone booth. Everytime they pick up the phone, they have to reimburse the phonecompany of that booth by $0.50 or more....

It was discover card. I agree- super shady, they should definitely provide their name in the message.

800-767-1134 called my phone and left message to call them back.

The phone number by a girl person...nothing else....

Hay Folks, I just called the 800-767-1134 and pressed zero's 0-0-0-0 untill someone answered. Then I made him tell who it was on the other end. They were very nice and explained that they were Discover accounts Dept. I gave them my phone number and told him that I did NOT have an account with Discover. He came back with my wife's name and address. Which was correct! Also the balance on the account was also correct. I think these folks are genuine deal. I also explained that that number with no information given sounds like a scam and rip-off!! The account agreed and made a note to the supervisor.

left 3 messages. did not ask for residents of household by name.

My friend was getting this too. It's pretty funny.I decided to call it from my phone. You are greeted with "Thank you for calling discover card. Please enter the last 4 digits of your account number."I entered 9999."Please enter the last 4 digits of your social security number."I entered 9999.Please enter your 5 digit zip code."I entered 99999."We were unable to process your request with the information provided. Please enter the last 4 digits of your account number."To me it seems like some sort of weird information gathering system. If this was discover card and they really needed to reach you why wouldn't they simply call you?

Received same call.  Did not call back.  DO NOT LIKE TO RECEIVE CALLS LIKE THAT and am on Do Not Call List.

The recorded message always is calling in the Lewisberry, pa area at 2:30 pm almost every week day.  Is there any info on why? and should I be checking my phone bills for improper use of my line?

Received an automated message asking to call this 800 numberCalled the number back - it was Discover - we do not have any credit cards. I told them our phone number that their automated system had called. The lady asked for some other person. Hopefully they will get their records straight and call the right person.

Scam...?
