This is definitely a SCAM. I wish they would get caught.They called me 2/20/2010 and claimed I owed debt. I get the callers info so I could return the call later after I had checked with my creditors and my report. I immediately suspected fraud since I have great credit. It turned out to be a scam, the story is long and boring but involved 2 hours of baloney.
Bill Czarnecki called and left an account # and said he was from Bank of America. I've never dealt with BoA so I don't call back.
They called me and told me that I owed them $1500.00 and they would settle out for this amount if I would give them my bank account information. They told me that if I refused to give them this information they would sue me and take my house. The guy's name was Mike and he was supposed to be the****istant Manager of the Company.
