Leave a CommentThey leave no message & when I tried to call back the line goes dead & never rings.Sounds like they have so****ing to hide.
Called twice this morning while I was out..left a 30 sec message of "breathing" and then ***g up. I called them back and, as others here have said, they mentioned lower interest rate cards and that they were Consumer Advocates representing the credit companies - Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. I told them not to call back and before I could warn them that I was reporting to the Do Not Call registry they ***g up in my ear. I've been reporting every telemarketer call I get since May 23 - 21 calls in all. It would've been more except I turn my cell phone off for days at a time so then they don't call.
They answer the phone as "Consumer Advocates Group"
I haven't picked up these calls because I don't know the number. However, they insist in calling at various times during the day. What can be done?
Real scam artist. Lower interest rates??? I don't think so. They call, **** up. Call, **** up. And..when they finally talk, they want your credit card accounts and SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!! Really bad people out there.
GOT THIS CALL TODAY AFRAID TO ANSWER! COULD IT BE A TELEMARKETER?
I received a call from this number, and a man named "Peter Macor" was calling me to say that we could lower my credit card interest rate. He gave me an ID number of TP 7739. He proceeded with telling me the address he had for me, and then asked if I had any other phone numbers I could be reached at. He also asked me for a total debt of all my credit cards, the last four digits of my social security number, and the 12 digit number on my card.******ly, I gave him my last four digits of my soc thinking that this was not as big of a deal. After resear****g, I have found out that these digits are the hardest for scammers to figure out, while the first five are often the easiest because they are based on where you apply for a SSN. Advise: Never give out these numbers.Once this guy asked for my card number, I refused. I told him that if he really needed these numbers, that the numbers should be in front of him! And I ***g up on him.He did also ask for the 1-800 number for the card that I use, and the card type. Can people just get a life of their own and quit scamming others? This is getting ridiculous! Be careful of EVERYBODY!!
I got a call from them this morning. The man said he was calling in regards to my low interest rate on my visa mastercard. I said firmly I don't have one (which I don't) and he immediately ***g up.
