Leave a CommentJust received call from same number with no one answering when I said*****o.
The call is on behalf of RBC Royal Bank.
1-800-769-2510 is dutifully calling my cell in Toronto twice a day for last two weeks at least. I am a RBC customer and also on Ca***ian DNC. I picked up twice. First time, I said*****o ... ***ody answered. Second time, I said*****o ... some lady said: Oh, it's not "Laura" and then ***g-up quickly on me (I am a male). I highly doubt that it is a real RBC. It look's like that somebody is somehow faking-up RBC's number on the Call Display. Is that possible? May be somebody here can answer more better whether such a call faking is possible or not? I really do not know. Whether it's real RBC or not, but I am highly skeptical about the calls from this number.
This is the RBC making a courtesy centre...call. It is from their actual call centre. 2 ways to stop them...1-Give the caller when you call back, or answer, your client card # and they will put the stop in your personal profile.......I don't like doing that!!2-As I did...go directly to your ***nch and ask for the client services manager. Tell them this is annoying you and that you want your profile to show that you do not want any more client services courtesy calls. They go into your file and c****e the settings while your there.Problem fixed-D
They keep calling day and night. 5 times yes****ay
They call me once a day and I get a mesage from an Angie to call her back... Sometimes it comes up as provate number and private name and other days it comes up as RBC with this number... I have visa and savings with them but am never home when they call lol... Gotta love it
Got a call from them 3months ago and have asked them to stop calling me a***n. Got another call like a minute ago. # is on my phone's block list. Call ignored.
I'm getting calls from this number. They just s****ed about a week ago, and I miss about 3 or 4 a day from them. They never leave a message, of course. Weird thing is, I don't have any business with RBC, and never have.
STOP CALLING ME!!!
Regarding the automated system. Its too bad you dont maybe take the time to acutally LISTEN TO THE OPTION***** 1 for english.hit # for no client cardHit 1 for banking (2 for credit or 3 for investments)then hit zero for rep.its 4 ****ons..kinda easy.unless your the type of person that cant be bothered to read the instructions on a new coffee maker and just****ume u hit power and it s****s. RBC cannot leave a message for some reason of privacy.cannot verify that it IS you, without you on the phone, so saying hi mary jane, as a client of RBC..leaves open possibilities of someone trying to impersonate either the client or the bank and defraud mary in someway.so go back to highschool.
"ILLEGAL to telemarket to an unlisted number "Thats not correct. if you ever Write your number on a form of any kind that didn't have a "we will not disclose your number to anyone" agreement you are fair game. And this is anyone who uses their phone as primary contact information. Not to mention most "telemarketers" aren't really that but are actually companies you choose to do business with that are varifying that their contact information is still up to date.
The problem is that none of you pick up your phones.I used to get really annoyed by these (have a similar problem with rogers) but now I work for a company that has a phone tree autodialer. They sent out a memo to employees letting us know about it.If you answer your phone and wait a second and then say "hello" it recognizes the number as active and stops trying to reach youDo youself a favour and answer one to avoid the millions
Yup, it's RBC - the Royal Bank of Ca***a. Really the worst part of all of this is that when you call them back to ask them to take your number off of their list, it takes FOREVER to get through their automated system to actually GET someone. They can reach out and touch you directly to give you THEIR message, but if you want to give them YOUR message you have to jump through so many hoops.Sad really but I guess these banks don't mind if more and more customers like myself take our business to credit unions instead.
Why would I be getting a call from RBC when I don't even have an account, VISA, MC with them and how the***** did they get my number??!!!
Repeated calls daily for days in a row.....then a nice lull, and repeats, and repeats! Talked to them about it already, and apologies don't stop the calls!
I received a missed call from this number
They have been phoning me for a while. Last week they finally left a message stating, "This may be a finale notice for you to lower my interest rates." They have left this very message a few months ago and guess what, they are still calling.
Same experience - repeated calls from 1-800-769-2510 - twice a day no message. Telemarketers from RBC. Have never had any business with them in the past. Went on for months - extremely annoying. Called 1-800-769-2511 to put an end to it and Customer Service rep said it would take 4 weeks to put an end to the calls - we'll see.
RBC Telemarketer - Call 1-800-769-2511 (Customer Service) and have them put you on the do not call list. It should only take a few days for the calls to stop. Also ask the service rep to put a "High Priority" note on the acct stating they are not to call. Worked for me.
If they are calling your cell phone, ask them where they got the number, and if it is a sales call. In Ca***a it is ILLEGAL to telemarket to an unlisted number (not in the phone book) which 99% of cell phones are. Just tell that to them and they usually don't call back.
i got 2 or 3 calls in a row and no message left. i have a credit card through them and nothing else. i make my payments so they have no reason to not leave a message!
Another version of telemarketing from our "friends" at RBC. Charge more for services to increase profits, then annoy us at work like we have nothing better to do.
I got a call from this number but jsut ignored because i have these similer call every day sometimes.
This is a call from RBC (Royal Bank of Ca***a).They call from time to time as part of their "engagement to stay close to their customers". They call to make sure everything is oki with my account, that my plan corresponds to what I need etc.The lady was very police and even asked if it was a good time for me to discuss.1-800-769-2510 is actually the real number of RBC, posted on their website with all the series of 800-769-251X
They call at least once a day for me and never leave a message. I'm at work so most of the time I don't pick up and just wait for caller to leave me a message. But nothing from this number.... but they just keep calling... so annoying....
It's the Royal Bank. They call me too but don't leave a message. I have a credit card but no accounts with them.
Keep calling. No message. Twice a day, once a week, different days of the week. Always miss it.
