People call saying I owe them money I reported my name and number to the do not call list for harassment calls through the federal trade commission if they call after the 30 days I am reporting them to te police. They are not suppose to harass you if you tell them you have reported to the FTC I told them they need to write to me at my address if I owe so****ing. I do not take care of bills over the phone. They will not send me anything by mail.
I too keep getting calls on my answering ma****e but it's not even for anyone in our family so I called them back and the ******* the line ***g up on me after I told her that there is no, Keith that lives here. How rude. I thought this was serious so I wanted to let someone know they were calling the wrong number. What a scam!!

i just rec'd a third call from an Agent Coleman. He stated that I had to place a call back to them by 4pm my time or a file would be made a***nst me. Just last month they called and said i wiss being investigated for fraud and the month before that I was told that i had rec'd a payday load for 1500.00. They had all my information and i was really scared. They only thing that made me alittle weary was that they said my bank was called Community National Bank. ihave never banked with that bank nor have I have i rec'd a loan for 1500.00 from 2008. How do the know your D.O.B,SS# cell phones numbers and so on. The had my correct address and all. I have children and this is not a funny matter.I need to report these people. futher I live in Nj and i do believe we are not eligble to recieve payday loans but i could be wrong. I need adavance and fast because i dont want to be scammed or wrongfully accused. WHAT CAN I DO thank god for this website.
One other thing, everyone keeps mentioning this payday loan?I have never heard of it nor was I involved in tha**** seems that most people on here are getting called for that particular loan.
Received a call from them today and in the past but this is the first time they have been able to leave a message on my ma****e since they have a ****** calling service that cannot sync with my answering ma****e, it cuts the message off.First of all, the name they are looking for is justin somebody and then they attempt to say my name but it is incoherent and they say my last name first, but it is so messed up that I don't think it is even for me. In my opinion they are looking for someone else.I don't know what it is about, I don't really have any outstanding bills that would use a collection agency. It was Agent Hall, oooohh, lolThe message was left at 3:52 and said I needed to contact them by 4pm, good one, F off is what I say.I guess it is a debt collection? they left no information other than a file number.Yeah I will be calling them back right away!, lolI am curious to call back though because I like to keep my bills in good standing but I am not falling for some ****.I may call back just so I can have some fun because that will be the day when someone threatens me on the phone like others have been saying. For what? $15, lol
My mother recieved a phone call from this company and stated that I needed to call immediately to resolve this issue before I will be taken to court. I am in the process of rea****g the AG office to settle this matter. If you recieve phone calls like this call the AG office and let them know.
Received a call from a person identifying themselves as 'Gibson.' She became extremely *****y immediately demanding we settle some case (with a random number.)She provided this 800 number with an extension, to resolve the issue '...before further legal action' occurs.I've never called back; and there is no issue to resolve -- other than for the caller to try and develop another scam...
Received a phone call stating I may be involved in identify theft. They are full of it and I am reporting them to the FBI. It is unlawful to harass people like this.
I just received a recorded message stating that my name and ss# are suspected as being used in fraudulent activity and to hold to speak to someone. I was leary from the s**** because I was just scammed at the end of March regarding a debt that I really do owe. This gentleman tried telling me that I am being charged with check fraud for getting an online pay advance and never paying it back. He had all of my information correct, but I have never received any advances online. I explained to him that I was su****ious right from the s**** and he still continued to tell me that it isn't his job to prove anything to me and that he is surprised that I haven't already been notified by the local authorities. I don't believe anything he said. The people who called me last week also claimed to be calling from a law firm that had supposedly bought my bad debt and I am now out of $100. These people are rediculous and will say and do anything to get your money.
I received a call from an Agent Hall, with Rosenthal, Blah, Blah, Blah, and it gave my name, and a file number with a threaght of jail, or attachment to my****ets due to a case filed with them. My response with a statement of County was required in writing to them by 3pm est today. To protect my freedom, and family. This is the same recorded message I got on 3/10/2011, and there has been no judgement, or warrant. If they have my number, and they have my personal information, then what would a statement of County be needed for, what is that exactly?I live in the midwest, so I am unsure what they would want me for, and also, who are they that anything would be legally filed with them? SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS!!!
Rosenthal Stein and****ociates called me today and the woman stated her name and agent number and right away I told her that if it will stress me out or upset me, not to continue the call because I am 5 months pregnant and I am high risk right now for stress. She said that she has my file on her desk and that I have committed fraud and asked me if I know the law and statute on fraud in my county. Then she immediately asked me if anyone has came to my residence and served me with any papers or if any law enforcement agency has talked to me about this matter. I said NO.....what is the matter exactly? She stated that I took out a payday loan a year ago and that my checking account returned payment as insifficient funds to the payday loan company and that I committed fraud because my account was soon closed due to a negative balance. I informed her that I had been released by my doctor for disability and that I can't pay anything with no income. She said that I will have to contact an attorney because I will be served at my residence. I then ended the call and called the States Attorney General's office and they told me that when they call, to get very bold with them and tell them to go ahead and serve me and go ahead and take me to jail....or if they say that you will have to go to another state or wherever they are collecting for, to tell them GREAT I have never been there before, I would love to know what it's like there!! lol Dont fall for their talk people!!!!
They are debt collectors out of Kansas, I am not attorney but I can tell you this, if they are any kind of process servers, they certainly do not call your phone. I cleft a message for them to cease and desist calling me. If they have anything to say to me they can do it in writing. The really sad thing is I don't owe them any money. Crazy. I have a do***entation and will continue keeping track of their calls. Can you say CLASS ACTION
These people are scammers. WHat they are doing is fraud. They left messages claiming to be agents. Agents of what? Whatever you do do not give them any money and report them to your local state attorneys office, consumer affairs office, and the FTC.
I received a call, and an individual left a case number, but no name. He stated in his voicemail, that I had until 4pm EST to respond and be prepared to settle my debt, or fraud papers would be filed tomorrow at 8am. Funny thing is, I got this message at 5:15 EST, so already past his deadline. I am in the CST zone, and am pretty sure any legal papers would need to be filed in the area I live in, and no governmental offices are open as early as he threatens. Just another scam to scare someone out of their money. The sad thing is, it probably works on some people!
this company called my mother in law and stated i needed to contact them in ref. to a legal matter and when i call back it just gives u option to leave message, noone to talk to so i reported them. 1 nothing i do requires me to put my motherinlaw on do***ent so why would they call her an ask for me, an like other scams they call ur mother.
I got a message out of the blue threatening to be taken to jail over fraud?? I called and got someone else and they told me that I was committing some kind of fraud and that unless I paid them a bunch of money by 4pm today, they were serving arrest papers. Funny thing is, when I asked what the man's last name was because I had not seen any kind of 'indictment' papers, and that I was going to call my attorney to have him research this...he stuttered, and ***g up. I researched and they are some kind of debt collection agency that claims to go by the law...but last time I checked, threatening people was not exactly legal. I don't honestly even know what it's about, they wouldn't even tell me where this allegedy money was owed. I just paid off my student loans 4 months ago, and I have no car payments and no credit cards. So....hopefully I won't hear from them a***n.
Today i received a phone call from (800) 818-1790 and they were identifying themselves as Rosenthal, Stein &****ociates. I spoke to an agent Brown and told me to call an agent Rosco at the same phone number and the extention was 4007. I checked on here and found that this Rosenthal, Stein &****ociates is some kind of scam. Is there anyway to verify who they are. I asked agent Brown was this was all about and all he kept telling me was that it was a federal law, to what, i don't know. Regardless, i won't be calling back this number and i hope there is a way to block this number.
