It is definitely Weltman, Weinberg because I got a letter in the mail from them the day before. Do not talk to these people they are very nasty. They are only licensed to collect in OH and I think MI but will try and collect in other states. Know you rights. They must have a licensed in your state or they are not allowed to contact you at all.

Calls repeatedly and leaves recorded and "live" messages threatening "employment verification." Also uses the number

I've been plagued by the same incessant calls. Thanks for the email list *****. I sent an email from an anonymous account to every person on the list, twice, and I just couldn't help myself, but I also attached a 10-meg file ;=) If they continue to call, I think I'll flood their personal snail-mail with catalogs. Should I feel guilty? Maybe, but they DO deserve it.

Automated message from man with deep voice instructing us to call them on a 'very important issue' at a certain number. Called the given number once and it was a dead end. Get at least two calls a day from that number now, and I ignore it every time. My credit rating is 820+, I've never missed a payment in my life, so there is no reason for a debt-collection firm to call me. Must be either a scam, or my cell number was once used by someone who did default on a loan at some time. Suspect a debt-collector scam where they have s****ed the 800-837-6008 number of this Weltman, etc. firm. That's my best guess, anyway.

They keep calling for a Danny Turner on there collection calls for the past year. I keep telling them This new number belongs to me, Patty Nelson now. quit calling but they continue to call 417-732-1567

I have had to go to consumer credit for old debts that I had with my husband. My current debts are all current except one that I am presently making payments for..  I have no outstanding debt and yet Weltmen, Weinburg and Reese keep calling me. They call me unavailable so that I don't know it's them and when I let the voice mail pick it up they only leave a call back number not any message.  Isn't this illegal and I do believe it is harrassment.

I have been receiving these calls every day for almost 2 months.  I finally had had enough a couple of weeks ago and called them back.  I asked to be removed from their list and the woman on the phone was very pushy and refused.  I told her I was pregnant and was tired of getting up for the same phone message when I know we have no debt.  She said that she needed to confirm the last 4 digits of my husband's soc #.  I told her that I didn't know that information and it was not my place to give it to her if I did.  She then insisted that she needed to speak to my husband.  I gave my husband the phone and he heard the woman making fun of me with another woman.  He ***g up on her and the phone calls stopped for about a week.  We thought that was the end, but they have since s****ed a***n daily!  I have had enough!!!!

Pretty much the same as all of the above comments... Have been calling for weeks. I do not plan on calling them back but have added the number to my blocked number list. Hopefully this will take care of the problem.

We too have been plagued with calls from this 'law firm' as they call themselves.   The calls are not from us, we don't owe anyone money.  Yes****ay we called and they****ured us we would not be called a***n.   However, later yes****ay evening there was more voice mail from them.   When I called about the message today, they insisted that it was impossible that they had called.   The phone number they left in the message was 1-800-718-2807.   This is bordering on harrassment.

Thank God I found this site!  They called me today for the first time.  I have no outstanding debt but they DID know the name of a family who was ****ed recently and they USED HIS NAME in their message.  How contemptible and disgraceful that they would stoop SO very low!  So on top of my grief, I have to deal with THEM?????  I think not!

I have been receiving calls from this number for over a month now. It is an automated message for me to call them. I receive this message at least once a day, every day!! It is getting ridiculous!! All of my debts are in good standing, and I have no other business with this law firm, so there is absolutely no reason for them to be calling me. In fact, I am really ticked off because of the non-stop calls, and even calling me on a Sa****ay and waking me up on my only day of the week that I can sleep in.

I have been receiving calls from this number for several weeks now.  The last time I got the message to call Weltman, Weinberg and Reese @ 1-800-864-0324.  I have also received calls from 1-800-286-1589 and 1-800-223-7824.  On calling these numbers back I have found that they are also Weltman, Weinberg and Reese.  There is no reason for a collection agency to be calling me.  The debts I have are in good standing.

This is a creditor that calles several times a day severel times a week. I'm tired of it. They do not leave a message detailing who they are or what they want.

This number calls many times a day until 9pm. it is a recording that ask if this is ( my name) press 1 If not press 2. I press 2 and they still call. I owe them nothing and want them to stop calling.

If you call a toll free number from a pay phone it cost them about $0.30 for each call.  If everybody would call the toll free number from a pay phone several times a day their cost of business would increase - perhaps enough that they would go out of business  When calling the toll free number you just have to make sure the call connects.  You don't have to have a conversation.  Once the call connects, even if it’s just for a second, they get charged the $0.30

Called, left message stating a time of day to call and a number: it being "8am to 12 noon eastern standard time a***n our number is 18002105514 thank you"  I have not called it, but they always call using the number 1****376008.

This number keeps calling my PRE-PAID CELL PHONE. I do NOT owe anybody any money and I dont have anything in collections. When you answe this call its just some pre-recorded message. I cant even talk to a real person. How do I get them to quit calling me and burning up my pre-paid minutes????

These people keep calling and demanding a Social Security number without telling me why. After harrassing me for a month, they got upset when I got angry with them. I need to find a way to file charges a***nst them.

I have been receiving these annoying calls for months now and they only say to call the Weltman, Weinber & Reese.  They leave messages but for no one.  I do no have any outstanding debt.  They call any day and any hour.  I decided to google the number and boy I am not alone.  They have managed to **** off several people.  Thanks for the info on emailing them.  This is crazy!

I am a high school teacher and everyday, at school, and now during the summer months, the above number leaves a message on my voice mail through the extension number that has been****igned to my classroom phone. I have called several times to stop the harrassment to no avail!

I sent the following email to [email protected]  and the calls stopped immediately!Subject:  Official Do Not Call NoticeYour organization has been repeatedly calling my cell phone.  I have no outstanding debts and no business with your organization.  This is a formal cease calling notification for the number *******-****.  Any further calls from your company will result in all phone fees and services being charged to you via a small claims court filing.

I don't owe them anything. They have the wrong number and refuse to stop calling. Call all hours of the day, weekends, holidays..2 -3 times everytime

Received a call today--SUNDAY of Memorial Day weekend (I have kept the recording), May 25, 2008. Did not identify self, did not ask for a name, only said to call back--and gave a different name to call back--800-223-2070.  When I called the number today (Sunday) I received the "Weltman, Weinberg & Reese" name.  This is a collection agency.  They are breaking the law

Several calls a week.  No message left, only please call us at the 800 number listed.  Who are they and what do they want.  Needs to identify themselves and whom they are seeking to contact.  Googled number and this is who is listed Weldin, Weinberg & Reese.  A collection agency.  They need to know who they are calling and do thier homework better.  No one on my home is past due for anything. Scam collectors!!!!

Great coup today--Got call from guy, I could hear other operators in background and one repeated his cell phone number...  I've been calling that guy night and day, and I told him I was downstairs from his place and on my way to pay a little visit.  The collector s***bag seemed to be ****ing his pants. I kept telling him "I can hear you without the phone, I guess I'll be seeng you soon".  He ***g up on me, and then when I called back the line was busy. Then I got him and he cried.  Big ****y.  I will beat him when i find him.
