Leave a CommentThis is so funny. Most of you sound as though you are typing lies. I actually hadnt paid my credit card in sometime because of money problems. They called me and I didnt know what it was for at first and felt scared because I thought someone was trying to scam me. Glad I actually remembered that I owed them for a card I used and never paid for. They worked with me and now its paid off and my credit is great. So stop ducking people all yo life and man up. Pay your **** bills and you wouldnt have to worry about getting these calls. Im so tired of people playing the victim all the time. How can we move forward when so many of us still play such childish games. I guess Barack being voted in was just a moment thing because as a whole people still are the same so it really didnt c****e sh@t.
Definitely a scam. Called me tonight and refused to give me a supervisor name or number. They are NOT affiliated with BoA (checked this out) in any way and that number is NOT in BoA's databases as one of theirs. They direct you to a 3rd party scan website for "payment." Hopefully the FTC will prosecute these people and soon.Preying on people's parents and grandparents. its sad, really.
This caller called me about a fic***ious person and then asked me, when I returned the call, what number I was "called at." They did not have a supervisor and when you call it simply says, "Card Services" on their end, NOT Bank of America. Btw, before someone says, "Well, you just owed money" I have NEVER IN MY LIFE had any accounts with BoA nor will I ever have.
they were collecting legitimate info on a past due account. just because they are looking for you doent mean the are phishing. everyone should learn the tradmarks of a phisher but when you owe money expect debtor to collect!!
I got a call at work from someone who left 800 842 3019 x29034 and left the name Karen Robbins. They did not leave any other info with our receptionist other than to call back. It is very unusual to get an 800 number as a call back where I work so I googled it and found several sites similar to this one reporting it as a scam.
Just received a similar call to those described by others on this page. The message was for someone named "Darius" to call back 800-842-3019 and ext. 39072. I smelled a rat, googled the number, and came across this page. Thank you to those who reported on this site before me.
They are still at it. We just got a call from "The Bank of America" that was "very important" for our daughter who hasn't lived here for 12 years. The number to call back was 800-842-3029, extension 67512, name Rowe.
My mother received a call saying that there was a security problem with my Bank of America account. The caller told my mother that I should call "1 800-842-3019" extension 28099 and ask for Elaine. This is pretty low to use someone's mother as a go between. I filed a complaint with FTC.
The left a message about to call back about an important matter. When I did call the person that answer was trying to get my SSN and name. I did gave my last 4 digits and they told me that number did not match their data base.Becareful!!!, Bank of america never will ask you SSN
calling my employer after they have been told not to call.
Just got the same call... Someone named "Lynette Miles" from Bank of America, left the same callback number 800-842-3019. I didn't call back, because I googled the number first. Thank God for the information age, this sounded weird to me. She said "your file has come across my desk and I need you to call my right away." What are people thinking?
Calling from B of A about a bad debt that was owed and must be paid. The number was 1-800-842-3019, ext 28422, claudia norman.Called the number back, and was asked to leave "the account number or my SS number".
I just heard a voicemail from this number. Thank God for Google and people like you reporting this stuff. The woman said her name was Rose Marie and that it was very important I returned her call regarding an Antonio Iglesias. I don't know an Antonio Iglesias first of all and then the place is just called "Card Services". I called her back and left a message to not call me a***n or I'd report them to the authorities. Let's see if they try a***n.

The person left a message saying she was calling from a "financial services" ins***ution and I was to call 1-800-842-3019 as soon as possible and ask for SYLVIA. When I called, a man answered and said that he would transfer me to Sylvia. When Sylvia answered, she could not answer as to why she had called ME but wanted to know if I knew a "Name". I said "in a roundabout way" and she wanted the "Names" address, account number, etc. and I said that she should have that if she was legitimate and I ***g up.
