Leave a CommentSame story here, Alex Smith left a message for me from A1 delivery. He stated his driver had an incomplete delivery and needed to verify my address. I called the number he left me, 866-559-0858 and got an answering ma****e for A1 (all reps are busy) they actually said on the ans ma****e to just leave your name and full address! Saying you have 3 minuites to leave your message. .. I just left my name and number, seeing as though they already have that, and Alex himself calls back. From 866-559-0858 even... He says the same story about the driver but he was obviously lying and he was asking me if I was J***** (which I am, but its a uni*** name thankfully) I wouldnt fess that this was the right # and asked where the package was from, he says "sports world" Denver CO. I ask where hes calling from and HE says Denver, CO... Im in MN here and have no business ever that would be in CO... So I told him it was the wrong number. He says, do you know J****'s address or phone number? The package is valued at over $100, and Id hate to ship it back.... I smell a rat....
Also gave me return number of 1866 728 9074 x 2017She ("Veronica") said they had been given a PAID REFERRAL by my former employer, and verified my current address and cell. Sadly, I confirmed both, but asked how they even HAD the info since my former employer would NOT have had the updated info. They wanted to know if I was currently employed, and if I was seeking full or part time employment. They then said "you worked there a long time, right?" And I said no, two years. At that point I got very su****ious and told her I needed to get off the line and call her right back. Never gave her my SSN--she didn't have a chance to ask. That would def. have tipped me off.Googled the name she gave me, and found this site.Tried to call back, mailbox full. Any info would be appreciated.
Had a call today stating that it was national delivery services. They asked if it was chris and I said yes. Then they asked me if I was still at **** 36th street and I said yes (actually old address). Then they said they have been trying to deliver a package but I wasn't home, asked when a good time to meet me there was so I could sign for the package. They said it was a 3lb package from des moines, iowa 50317, but that that was all the info. they had. I set up a bogus time to meet them at 3 on tues. the 29th. Think I'll have about 6 friends go there and see what's up.
had numerous calls from 800-860-2264 on my cell phone w/ no mesage left. usually called 1-2 times/ day. today they called four times in a row then immediately after i get a bizzare phone call AT WORK on my office line saying they had a package to deliver. claimed to be the Nationwide Courier Express. (i sounded sketchy but a sibling had just been traveling to Europe and i knew they were going to be sending me so****ing back.) Then when i asked who it was from, they name my sibling by FULL NAME. i got her to give me their #, a tracking #, and her name. afterward, i contacted my sibling and was told no package was sent. i called the phone number back. the 800 number above tells you "mailbox full" if called back. the number she gave me was

got a call asking am I still looking for employment and they got my name from a former employer and monster.com. I have never worked at this place and I have not been on monster.com for 15years. So I knew it was a scam.
i just got a call from this yes****ay. They said it was an employment ageny and they got my name and number from a former employer and monster.com. I knew it was a hoax because they had my married name at the time of my employment at that particular company I wasnt married.
calls and ****s up. no message
this number called me today, pretending to be Manpower Employment AGency, claiming I made an online inquiry for a job..I wasn't aware it was a scam until she wanted to mail me material and asked me to confirm my date of birth was..and I immediately knew it was a scam, because credit reports only had that date of birth....already had given her my address, but that is on a credit report. i wish these people would burn in*****. not sure if iden***y theft or debt collection, but I am using sprint f orwarding service to forward calls to a disconnected number right now... actually, we discussed attire, transportation and everything about finding a job for me, her commission, etc., so it was likely it was employment..but when they wanted to verify date of birth is..that's when she tripped up....called it back and it says mailbox is full. watch out and dont give information to this number
Michael called saying they had a Capital One premium for me and wanted my street address. Same people called last week about do I need a job-obviously scammers.
We got one from this number today saying they was with a Job Placement and asked for one of our neighbors. We thought it was odd they was calling and asking for her because she's in her 80's and in very bad health. We let her grandson know after I brought it up on the internet. Not sure how they got our number with her name. But I sure don't like it.. we are on a no call list for our state too.
Person called said I had "pre-paid package" from target for 51.45$ and that they were going to deliver it tomorrow. whats interesting is this same type of call occured over a year ago. No one ever came or delivered anything.
I just got a call from this number. They had some personal info for a former roommate, had my name, and said that they were checking references for United Job Placement (I know she isn't looking for a job). When I said that, they asked "Oh, where does she work?" That tipped me off that it was some kind of collection agency. I took their number (another toll free number) and tried calling it back and got a voice mail for "Employment Recruiting Center." Googled both names and the numbers and came up with that it's either a scam or a collection agency....
This number calls and never leaves a message.
