Leave a CommentThe message I get several times a day on my cell phone just repeats the phone number "1-800-860-5811" they do not leave a company name or contact, just a number. I have no idea who this annoying company is!
I have been unemployed for 17 months now and somehow still manage to make all payments before 30 days over. This is a feat in itself since I am running on 1/3 the income I used to have. This number is for Ford Credit. After 17 months, you'd think they would have a pop-up on their screen when the automated system calls my home number. I let it go to the answering ma****e after the 20th of the month. They still ask the same questions. I even got into an arguement with one Ford Credit girl because I wouldn't tell her why the payment was late and here's what happened;I finally got the money rounded up to make the payment, but was not at home. So I was goin to spend the few dollars to make the payment over the phone (A few dollars was not a big deal and the payment was real time) The phone system needed my account number, so I transferred to a real person to get my account number. I got the account number from this girl who initially was cordial. She then began asking why the payment was late. (I already had the account number by this time) I told her after 14 months of phone calls and NEVER being 30 days late, she needed to look it up in the history AFTER she transferred me. She then increased the volume of her voice and forcefully said "This is my job now tell me why the payment is late!!" ***, she really did that. I just ***g up, called the number back for the automated payment system and made the payment. HAHA!!! It may be their job to "strong arm" you into giving information, but you don't have to listen. Answering ma****es are great. The only thing I suggest is if they catch you on the phone, don't **** up on them unless you are making the payment THAT day. They can ***** up your credit if they consider you a hostile customer NOT paying. Play your cards very carefully.
To "me", per the FDCPA - Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, creditors are permitted to call you ONCE a day, every day of the week during reasonable hours, i.e. 8am to 7pm. They are not authorized to disclose the purpose of their phone calls to ANYONE but the person named on the account or that person's husband/wife. YOU are the subject of harrassment. As for the claims of being insulted or belittled, my advice would be this. As soon as one of them gets on the phone, begin recording your conversation, and notify them that you are doing so. If you have recordings of the individual insulting and belittling you, that is grounds for a harrassment lawsuit and the minimum is $1,000 from the individual and $1,000 from the company, and that's not even taking into account other damages the judge could decide to levy a***nst them. FYI, civil court judges take a very dim view of collectors harrassing people. Also, I know some cell phones have the ability to do so, and if they are calling you on your cell phone, here is so****ing you can do to avoid them harrassing you. Save the number they call from into your phone and then set your phone to send all calls from that number directly to voice mail. Hope this helps anyone. For further help to avoid problems with collectors, refer to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
I paid Ford Credit over a week ago, I am current on my bill and still 4 times a day I get a call from this number some times 2 calls within 2 minutes. I do not ow them any money at this time my next pmnt is not due until the 15th and still they keep calling. When is it considered harrasment?
Wow Ford Credit Repossed my car when my payments was current..They gave me my car back and could only say "sorry" you got your car back what is the problem...
It is Ford Motor Credit, the caller has a very heavy hispanic accent, they are from a Panama call center. I asked him why he was calling as I am on their auto pay system. He said that it is an auto dialer and he can't stop the calls. I called Ford Credit and they showed me 30 days past due since I bought the car 2 years ago!!! I asked why the calls just s****ed? the lady said that they have stepped up collection activity and if your payment hits the late penalty date the number goes into the auto dialer. She finally saw where the error occurred and promised to get my account updated. I asked about any reports to teh credit bureau and she said they don't issue corrections to teh credit bureaus that I have to dispute the report before Ford will respond!
It's Ford credit...I agree with you on that note Mike...it's the same for us.They do call on the 11th of each month..and the same..it's nice and quiet for maybe two weeks. Then they harass you..they drill you with 20 questions every time i talk to them. Do they have to make you feel more worthless..do they have to continue to remind us of how behind we are??? I can't sleep because of "FORD CREDIT"...I know that we owe you money...when you don't have it..you don't have it..then they ask..well can you borrow the money?? None of there business..whether we can borrow the money or not..some of them are not to bad to deal with..but 90% of them are just plain awful! They make you feel worthless!! I recommend never get financed through these guys!! They belittle you more than you can imagine!!!!
Please I would like you to stop calling my number at 248-416-9551.I have nothing to do with FORD CREDIT and never havd account with you. The calls have been going on for months.I appreciate your understanding not to call my number anymore.
this is ford credit, the economy is tough and we are having a tough time paying on time, my monthy bill is due on the 11th of each month, we get payed every two weeks so we had to move our payment to the end of the month, so 10 days after the due date the calls s****. don't get me wrong we pay it before the end of each month just not on the 11th. when they ask why, I told them what we had to do and plainly they don't give a ****. They just keep calling and calling I just don't answer. I figure I get about 20 days a month that they don't call. So I figure it cost them more to hire someone to call me each month and I am helping the economy by giving someone a job.
This is Ford Credit. I called to defer my car payment one month. They were just making sure I got the new contract and ask for me to sign it and fax it back. You need to answer this phone call very important.
These people keep calling me yet I am not in debt and I do not own a Ford
This number is Ford Credit. If you're behind on payments, you NEED to answer. These guys are not trying to bother, they're trying to help. Trust me, any other finance company would have written me off long ago. They continue to help me time and a***n through my ridiculously long period of unemployment. I am a Ford Credit customer forever.
I get this call at 8:45 every morning. They always call twice. I do not have my answering ma****e on. See link below, which explains that it is a fraudulent credit collections company. I looked on other sites for this number and people have said that this is the Ford Credit company. I do not have a car loan out or a delinquent car loan; I have never owned a Ford. I do not answer.http://www.trixiepixgraphics.com/misc/gfdl_fraud.html
This number calls my cell phone repeatedly and leaves no message. Calls several times a day
This number would call me 3-4 times a day, and never let it ring more than twice before ****ing up and calling a***n immediately. I finally answered today to see if I could stop the calls. It was someone claiming to be from Ford Credit asking if I'd be able to make my next payment on time. I hadn't actually missed any payments - it was a new loan and they never sent me a statement so I had no way to make a payment. I'd already worked this out with Ford Credit cusotomer service, but they called anyway. I didn't give them any personal information during the brief conversation; I merely advised them that the problem had been resolved.
this number calls me 6-8 times per day; I don't answer because of fears of iden***y theft. The number calls, no message left and calls back within 2 seconds, with same response (i.e rings, no message, and quits until the next time).
Its ford credit alright. Not to say I myself don't owe the money. but, after reading the comments above I feel bessed. My heart goes out to the people who owe these bills with no fault of their own. I think the cars should be returned without any I. O . U's. this is so sad.but, I intent to leave my car parked on the grass of ford motor company myself with the ***le, and plates and payment book. Read about it your self.soon
Sirrus radio wants me to renew
seems we are late. Embarrassing so but since my husband cant work anylonger due to cancer. I lost my job and were living on mac and cheese. I try but im late every month. Lets see when they ask me why im not looking for a job. I merely say sure I can afford to have a nurse take care of my husband at 40 dollars per hour and work for 9. hum , well i think he needs me more than my payments need me. I know look at life so much differently. I see a neighbor with a new car and think this could happen to you. I hope it doesn't. but the credit , car and house payments don't care about you only your check book. sorry to vent at this. I think Im just tired of the phone calls and to have to explain my situation over and over a***n to them. Im not an angry person or a why me. Only let me breath and one day I will catch up.
when 'Gina' called looking for someone, caller ID showed 972 area code- then she gave me 800-860-5811. asked her what it was about, said it was personal. laterz!
They call at all hours, I think its Sirrus radio, my year was up and they want me to renew
Constant calling
Pushy ia not the word for them!!! Not only do they barely speak english they call after I have made a payment asking when they will receive it!!!! They called today and I checked my account and it had already been withdrawn from my account. They also want to know why the payment was late!!! Oh let's see I just wanted you to call me!!! We are living on a 20% pay cut right now and are doing the best we can. With today's payment I am a***n current but they feel the need to give me a credit lecture!! As I am not stressed out enough and em***ssed that I was even late!!!!
I have asked on several occasions that the caller remove my cell phone number from their computer. They ask for a man, then ask me my name. I have repeatedly told them this cell number does not belong to the gentlemen they are seeking. They call mulitple times a day
Got a voicemail message that just said, "Call our toll free number 1-800-860-5811." Thought I'd look it up before I called it and got roped into anything. But it sounds right for it to be Ford Credit, they're financing my car and man are they pushy!
