Called my work!! IDK who they are other than Eastern Collections. Left a voicemail with phone # and acct #. I will not be calling them back.

just got a call on week old new #. Looking for a Priscilla Arturo?? Eastern Collection agency.  4th call since new phone. now I need to call 800-864-5999? to have me removed.

Another one that I will make bite the dust..I love to "toy" with these idiots !

Automated message looking for person I didn't know. Turns out the person had this number prior to me. Was a collection agency.

Received an automated call with a company name (Eastern Collection Corp). Called back and was not given a company name. The line was answered customer service.Found out it was an old book club debt (that I do believe I already paid through one collection agency). Requested so****ing by mail. Will go from there.As for the Do Not Call List, it doesn't apply to business you have a relationship with or collection agencies.I would suggest looking up the Federal Debt Collection Practices Act. Your best bet (if they say YOU owe a debt) is to call them, get the information about your account and their mailing info. Try to get them to mail you so****ing if possible (most bogus collectors wont) and their mailing address. Send a debt validation letter certified mail. If they can't provide the necessary information, they have to remove the debt from their records (and the credit bureaus).  I did this when I got a collection letter from 3 companies about an old account. The FTC recommends you always mail a debt validation letter before paying an old debt to ensure they have the right to collect it and you don't have to pay it twice.

This dumb business has collected a debt notice from another collector who could not collect on it, as they got it off the hands of an older collector and so on from an old credit report.little do they know that was paid in full to a lawyer and western unioned the money and was taken care of over 5 years ago.  Each time I tell collectors like this one product the original note, they sell it of to another collector to harase me. That paid debt ha***** the hands of 8 collections collectors in 5 years.  What can obama do about false collectors with bogus facts?

Be very careful this is looking like another collection scheme. If you try to call back they are always unavailable but the harassing phone calls keep coming despite the fact that I owe nothing! I am trying to advise the authorities regarding this company.

Yep, got the same call on my cell, finally after four message put number in the phone block list.  Don't owe any bills, also on the donotcalllist.

They say they are attempting to collect a debt and left an account number and for me to call them.

Bogus...I owe ***ody nothing, All debt paid off. If they think I owe a debt then they can mail me a certified letter. And if I owe this so called debt my credit report defiantly doesn't show it. This has to be a SCAM!!!! I say do not call them back!

numerous calls to my phone for a person not known to me.

Several calls from eastern collections stating if i am this name to call this number and gave an account number. i Owe no debts and i verified with my credit card holders that my accounts are up to date plus i have not received any bills to pay. So i think this is a scam, and i want to know what can be done about this. Very concerned regarding these type of calls and very uneasy of answering them.

Jan. 2009I have been receiving calls from this number.  I too have no unpaid bills.  They too tell me that I have an account number and if i am this person to call them.  i have a very common name so at first i thought they had the wrong person.   I am reluctant to call this number and i think it is a scam.  I have never been billed for so****ing that i have not paid.  These calls are recordings and this has been going on since November.

I also received a call saying I owed money for a book I ordered from Lippincott, Williams, and Wilkins last year, but I did not order a book or receive one. The amount was $49.90. I'm not sure what to do about this. I'm glad that I didn't give them any of my financial information.

this man who called me insisted i was a liar, said things to me that not even my nastiest enemy would have said to me, cause i gave him the respect and i listened to him at first. now i let the ans mach pick up, but they keep saying a name thats not even mine, and keep saying by listening to this msg i am acknowledging that i am this person. they claim i owe a debt, and it needs to be paid off as soon as possible.

i dont even know where they r calling from, cause i wont give them a 2nd chance to talk to me. originally the nastiest man spoke to me, and literally caused my blood pressure to rise. not only was he nasty, he was insisting i was cheap, and i am able to make payments, and im a liar!!!! how dare he! i will not answer to them anymore, and i gets several calls a day!

they called me today saying i owed a debt and even gave me a account number, when i called the number back it said customer service.

I owe no debt. This call has to be phishing for information. I've received 2 in the last 2 weeks on my cellular phone addressing a Mr. & Mrs. with a reference number and request I call back. HA.

received 4 calls within 10 minutes from this number. 2 left recorded message, 2 did not. very annoying. wish this could be blocked!

I have had a similar message every day for over a week, only they do say it's for me (my real name), and that I should call them regarding collection of a debt. I know it is some sort of scam because I have no unpaid debts, and if it were legit I should have received a bill.  So I have ignored it. It's getting pretty annoying though.  My number is also on the Do Not Call list.

I called this number back, and told them to please remove my number from their system, noting that the woman that they were looking for was not at this number. Since then I have had no calls. Just call them back, the customer service team was very nice!

2 days of mechanical voice messages on my answering ma****e, telling my ma****e to **** up if it wasn't Mr. ?????. I have never heard of this person but the voice said his account number was 4467102 and he should call about a debt they were collecting.

For 2 days in a row my answering ma****e got a mechanical voice message saying the call was for someone I never heard of and if I (MY MA****E) wasn't him to **** up! It went on to say they were Eastern Collection Corp his account number was --- and to call them.  My phone is on the National Do Not Call Registry, I don't know who this person with the foreign name is.

I have received two calls in two weeks at from this number, both times going to my answering ma****e. They give a name which is certainly not mine, and say that if I'm not this person, I should **** up and staying on the line acknowledges that I am this person. Seeing as how I am not home at the time, I can't **** up. The message is about an outstanding debt needing to be collected, and I got an "account number" and a phone number to call during business hours. I have not tried this number.

They are Eastern Collections, 1626 Locust Ave, Bohemia, NY 11716.  They called me saying I owe money from an Ab Lounge ordered on TV that was returned to the company.  I am providing the address because you can send them a letter requesting that no phone calls be made and they should only contact you via us mail!
