These people were harassing me right after the ***** of my baby at 39 weeks. They were fully aware of my situation, but did not care. In fact, they began calling me more often and did not honor my request to be removed from their calling list. I had to take extreme measures to get this to stop. I filed police reports, contacted Highlights and canceled my subscription (and got a refund), even then I had to block the number on my cell carriers Web site. I'd suggest everyone do the same. Also, keep your phone records, bc I'm going to try and organize a class action suit and I'm s****ing a blog about this soon. They're going to learn their lesson the hard way. Break the law, pay the price.

They call twice a day, no caller ID, no message left. Others say it's Highlights magazine and I do get the magazine for my grandchildren, but I feel like I'm being stalked.

This # has called several times(5) this week and never leaves a message. I have ordered from High Five for several years so if I keep on getting these calls I will just cancel the subscription.

They constantly call even after you tell them you are not interested...and they don't leave messages.

Calling for HiLites magazine for children. They don't leave a message and like Blackie said below, they call day or night. You can call them back and have your number put on their do not call list. Hope this helps.

They people keep calling.  No caller ID.  I will not answer.  Someone says this is from Highlights for Children Magazine.  I also subscribed for my granddaughter.  Will not do it a***n.  These companies are terrible.

1-800-874-8816, been calling everyday, several times; both AM & PM. No message just a loud dial tone sound on my ma****e. I wonder about the people resposible for this kind of call. The executives, managers and decision makers. What benefit do they believe will come to them from this nonsense? I don't owe money and I don't want to buy anything from strangers using ma****es to make phone calls.

Just talked to them @ this number.It is highlights marketing department.For our calls, (about 2 to 3 times a week for the past month) there was never any message or live person on the line when we picked up the calls.I was told that sometimes their system routes to 2 operators and if they are both busy the call is dropped.Great system, not only does it call at random times, you pick up the phone and there is no one there.My kids love the magazine so we can't stop the subscription, but we are now on their DO NOT CALL LIST.We'll see if it works.

Calling daily and leaving no message.

In-coming calls show on my tv screen, and if they're 800#s, I don't pick it up when it says "unavailable" or "unknown" for the caller's name. It irritates me to get these calls, so here I am to report it, for whatever good it'll do, other that I DID SO****ING! ;)

Today, 3/13/09 I answered a***n. Got a live person who says it IS Highlights but that the call had nothing to do with my 3 month old (new) subscription.I didn't ask what, just asked that my name be removed, and she said Ok but I may still get some calls until it is removed.SPIT on Highlights - i bet it was about subscribing to some other one of their pubs etc.Will NOT renew this subscription.  Don 't know how they got my number.They have called once  and sometimes twice a day for at least a month.

I thought it was from a collection agency not Highlites.I ordered it for uor grand daughter but dropped the subscription. so not answering it just ****ing up. too. Irrating when yu try to redo yur computer room /office

This number came up on our caller ID every night about the same time for weeks. I will not answer the phone for 800 numbers or any calls identified as "Unknown caller".  I do not have first hand information that this is from Highlights for Children but I have ordered their magazine for our granddaughter so I think it could be a possibility.

I loved Highlights as a kid and have tried to give this to our grandkids.  Annoying billing and calls to my house at 8 PM.  Can't make any gift or donation without the consequences of marketing. We are not going to subscribe to any more of their products.

This number belongs to Highlights for Children Magazine. I just let the answering ma****e answer all my calls.  I talk to who I want to, and delete the rest.

Wants to sell me children books on consignment

this call appeared on my cell phone as "restricted". i didn't hear the phone ring and it was on my missed calls. I resent people using my air time for rediculous calls to cell phones.

I recieve the call at about 11:30 am. My answering ma****e picks it up and w***ver just **** up. I dont know why I am getting this call. I dont know who it is. I looked on the internet to find out who are they. Can't find any infomation on this number. I dont think it is a company. I think some one playing with the 800 number phone number.
