I could not hear much of what was said except that I should go to a particular website for more information and if I did not respond within 14 days $149 +/- would be charged to my account. What gives? Since I could not hear what was said, I decided to check online to see if it was some sort of spam

they have called numerous times, never leave a message. Repeated calls. Must day, since they do not have to physically dial the numbers, they can be persistent..

They called 2 times today. They called 2 times a week or so ago. I always let it go to voicemail, which only picks up part of the recorded message. It says so****ing about Verizon and calling them to save on my bill. I don't have a Verizon account. And a phone company wouldn't call a wrong phone number for one of their accounts. So there is no doubt that it is a scam.
