EMT Medical ..calls and will not leave a message. I have answered the phone and they are trying to sell you a program to STOP your info from being sold. I told them to stop, I have filled a complaint with Do not call I feel is a joke. I have lost my cool and patient on the phone with them. told them I was going to file a BBB complaint and was told we are not a member. phone number 480-237-8076

This company called my 90 year old ***her (a disabled veteran) and before he knew what happened he had given them his bank name, account # and check number.  He called me concerned that he had been taken and I have been calling and calling their number and have been put on hold. It has only been 18 hour since they got my ***her's number and I am afraid for him.  What can I do??????????

This is a scam.  I didn't realize that when I took the job of course, but in the short period of time that I worked there I was able to pull it together.  Not to mention their attrocious business practices.  The card is real, but paramedics are not trained to look for it as they like to tell people, only the elderly to be specific.  And there are a number of insurance carriers who offer this as well, they also like to say they are the only company offering electronic records.  For all intensive purposes though, you'd be just as well to write down any important info yourself and stick it behind your id.  They refuse to take numbers out of their system because they expect people to forget they have been called, which sadly works for them.  If they tell you that they're going to tell emergency staff you have refused information to them they are lying.  The only "files" they have access to are the ones with your phone number.  I encourage everyone to report the to the fcc and bbb.  If you are already on the do not call list and they keep calling, you can report them and they will be fined.  For whatever reason they aren't to concerned with that.  Reputable companies are literally terrified of accidently contacting someone on the list because they don't want to be fined and are very apoplogetic and don't call back.  Also, even if you do get them to list you as not interested, they go back through those leads 6 months later, so you will hear from them a***n.  It really ****s that these types of companies are allowed to function, especially as long as this one has.  They've been around for over ten years.  Please warn your parents not to give out any info and **** up, and if they do manage to get it I recommend closing your bank acct asap before you lose any money.

yeah right. above comment (phony Betty who works at emt medical) like paramedics would look at a unknown cheap telemarketer ID card they have never seen before to****ist them during an emergency. I can see it now,the paramedic trying to explain that one to the family of the deceased.

Thank you EMT Medical.  My husband was out of town last month and had a heart attach.  The paramedics found his EMT card in his wallet and were able to see the various medications he takes which helped them treat him correctly.  He is doing better now.  What a life saver.  God bless you and your service.Betty Smith

Spoke with a representative of EMT Medical. When I questioned their policies and fees the rep (Shawn) became very angry and conducted himself totally unprofessional. I told him that I am a firefighter/EMT and that his companies concept may be good for the emergency services community,but then he insulted me and my fire department. I simply ***g up on him. That frustrated him and he called me back to insult me a***n. I referred him to my supervisor who advised him that we would be calling the Attorney General's office for the state of Connecticut

Yea, I agree. My Grandmother has the EMT Medical service and I think $398.25 is way to much money to spend if even it does save her life someday. I'm gonna call in and cancel the service so I can make sure emergency personal won't have any extra health details if they have to treat her.

I can't stand it when these companies try to sell products based on fear! Just the other day I saw a comercial for a car insurance company called "Allstate". The commercial showed this scene of a horrible accident. I can't believe they use these scare tactics to get people to buy this ****** car insurance thing in fear that so****ing may happen to them, like a car accident of all things! When I called the number on the screen the company asked me some personal questions and gave be some expensive quote I would have to pay to have they're service. Then they said I would have to have a checking account to s**** the policy!!! Can you believe these people? They actually expect me to pay for this? They should just give it to me for free... don't you think? They must be scam!!! In fact I think that all companies that sell things like life insurance, home owners insurance, medical insurance, car insurance, or anything else to help aid in an unforeseen or emergency situations are just using scare tactics and it's just de****able! EMT Medical is just another one of these awful companies bringing light to these harsh realities we should all just be ignoring. Besides I'm pretty sure the paramedics already have all your medical information in the tens of thousands of file cabinets they carry around everywhere in the back of the ambulances... don't you think? Even if they don't already have your medical information, isn't guessing in a life threatening situation half the fun?

My husband has been diabetic for 40 years already and is well known to area ambulances, and hospitals. Our neighbors also know what his problem is since he has been found unconscious in our drive way,the garden, the car. He carries a necklace proclaiming his illness andcertainly does not have to have this company providing a somewhat ***bersome service for $186.- ever 6 months. When I learned what had happened, I contacted them (since we have a joint account) they got very very nasty and told me "tough luck, he agreed to this". I closed the account and the check card but they already got$110.- from us. They are preying on the vulnerable, elderly people and I am just furious. Put them out of business!

The one positive comment on this page is obviously from someone running the company itself.My daughter worked at EMT medical in Tempe AZ for a short period but just couldn’t stomach the scare tactics they used on the elderly to sell a cheaply printed card. During her employment there she was selling this useless service as a lifetime plan WITH NO ADDITIONAL COSTS to the elderly as instructed by management. Than later she witnessed the same elderly customers who bought it were being contacted a***n for a $10.00 a month  maintenance fee.(Wow that’s pretty dishonest.) This is a completely useless service not needed for paramedics in emergencies in the 1st place. If you bought this than you just bought a 0.35¢ id card for $398.00 and generic computer profile that no doctors are affiliated with or need to know about. Save your money don’t listen to a word that 1-800-891-7636 EMT medical says. Paramedics and doctors don’t need this shady telemarketing scam company or their halfway house employees to function any better.

My stepmother got a call from these people. They purported to be a company selling medical i.d. ***celets with a number on them, which EMT's or paramedics can call if you are incapacitated and the company will give them all your health info, medicines, allergies, etc.  They used very high pressure tactics; wanting $398.00 (and the routing number off a check) for a one time fee.  They tried to use guilt, fear, etc. and even called my stepmom "stubborn" because she would not buy into it.  The caller ID showed this number with EMT Medical, Inc. They gave a number for her to call back if she c****ed her mind: 480-237-8044.

My mother got the same call, only she agreed to it on the phone and gave out her bank account information!!! When they told her they were working with Medicare, she beleived them.  My mom is 90 years old and has early signs of alzheimer's but she's not sick enough to go to a nursing home or****isted living.  She's not out of her mind, but she does "******" (for lack of a better word) things like this. We're going to the bank this morning to close that account and go to all the trouble of opening another one and notifying bank drafts of the c****e.  It's going to be a fun day. So far, they've bilked her out of almost $100.00.  When you call the phone number back, you get an answering ma****e that all representatives are busy and to leave a message. I don't know how many times I've told Mama not to give out information to anyone on the phone. PLEASE if anyone out there has elderly parents, relatives, friends,etc., please tell them over and over not to give out their bank account information or Social Security # or ANY personal information to strangers over the phone.  We stress safety with kids, how about the older folks?  If I could get hold of someone from this company, they would wish they had never called my mom!!!

My mother received a call from someone claiming they were with this EMT medical records company. They gave their number as 1-800-891-7636. They had a well-designed pitch that fed on my mother's fear of being hospitalized and unable to speak. They claimed they were going to send her a medical card that contains all of her vital info that the ambulance and hospital will need to know. Luckily, I have been working with my mother to train her to watch for the danger signs of a****ential scam -- and sure enough, this person tried to tell her he needed to know her bank name and her checking account number. When my mother asked "Why do you need to have my bank account number?", he just said "Go get your checkbook. I'll wait on the phone for you." When she said "You don't need my checking number", he ***g up on her.This sounds like one big scam to me. Even if it isn't, they were clearly trying to scare her and trick into purchasing this service (if it is a real service). My mother was so upset that she was almost tricked, she's been crying ever since this happened earlier today. WARN your parents now!- Darby

This number called my 88 yr old mother and wanted her SS number + more info.  I called them back and asked what the fee was and they said $398.25 also.  If I hadn't been there, she would have agreed.  Itvshould be a crime!!!

Somehow EMT Medical got my mother-in-laws number and talked her into the service.  Thankfully we spotted the charge to her checking account and got it removed.  They definitely are able to persuade the elderly into giving out their bank info, especially those s****ing to suffer from dementia.  We tried to see what the attorney general would do in a case like this and that was useless.  If EMT Medical (not the medical supply company) keeps charging her account we will have to close it.  We keep phoning their number to see what they have to say but get no answer, just a ****** recorded message.  Everyone needs to keep an eye on what is going on with their aging parents or grandparents.  Don't let them be victims.  Banks will gladly remove a charge to a bank account as long as it is done within 60 days.  Banks do charge a fee for this but it is well worth it since EMD can charge as much as $400 for their 'family plan'.  There are a lot of scammers out there preying on the elderly.  Try and protect those that you can.

Just got a call from an unavailable number, they claimed they were EMT Services and were going to send out a medical card to be carried at all times, their call back # is 800-891-7636.  They knew my name and address, then asked for an emergency contact, then they wanted to know my date of birth, I ***g up on them.

Caller ID said "not available" but 800-891-7636 was the call back number given by caller.  Saw  similar comments on this number stating it was a legit EMT records company.  Funny but their "one time fee" was also $398.25 for senior citizens.  Su****ious??  Sure seems that way to me.  DON'T give out personal info over the phone!

I've been a customer of emt medical for almost two years now and they are not a scam, i fell down in the grocery store last march and the paramedics were able to immediately access my history i owe them a lot and you people should get your story straight before bad mouthing those great people.

This guy called purporting to be from a Medical records company, in fact the number is a good one, but I think he has s****ed the caller ID number in order to phish for information.  He keeps calling over and over a***n.
