Leave a Commentit is from xerox meter read department call center located in guatemala, routed through 1****918405 in connecticut. i work here.
Legit call. If you have Xerox equipment under maintenance you will need to provide meter reads so they can accurately bill you.
Actually, it is a valid call if from 800-891-8405. Although you are on an online account, it is backed up with an actual phone call if there was a processing error (on either end and it did not come through) or if you are late in submitting your read. They need the read to bill you and they will call if it was not submitted online when due or if the amount submitted was not consistent with your usual usage (easier to double check then to correct a billing error later on). The best way to know that is an actual Xerox Rep is to ask them your serial. They WILL provide it. Do not give it out. Unfortunately, due to all the scams out there people who actually call to do there job are made to have a difficult time. So just a word of advice all you have to do is ask for your serial...if they can't provide it....**** UP it is not Xerox.
