Annoying caller. Won’t leave a legitimate message. Block them.
they keep calling and asking for someone they need to know they are calling the wrong number it is very annoying i am not a well person and have to get up every time the phone rings is there any way they can stop calling my number.
Clearly very annoying... I'm going to try Fightingback's suggestion...
I use Google Voice.. then I can block any number I want.. comes in really handy
With today's technology, and the fact that the government won't stop these businesses from harassing people, my suggestion is to do what I do. Speak softly and acknowledge that you are the person that they are looking for - and when you are sure that they have turned the headphones up and are listening clearly, give a blast into the phone from a compressed air horn - like the ones that you hear at hockey games.

*******s! Can't someone stop them???
Keep calling asking for someone I have never heard of.
Always calling for no reason
yeah this idiot named willie james keeps calling try to sound like a hard**** looking for my nephew. I think if he calls here a***n being the rude ***** he was today im going to show up at his office and show him how rude and ruthless i can be.
Called my grandparents claiming to be PPL and it *** an automated call.
Repeated automated calls for an individual who does not live at this address. When I returned the call, the rude caller refused to allow me to speak after telling her that I have no alternate number for the person she is trying to locate.
If this Co. is calling your cell phone, verify the info. they are asking for and when they ask if this is the best # to reach you at- you reply NO. They can NOT put you on an automatic dialer and will have to put you on a manual dialer- you will still get calls, but not near as many. This is Penn Credit Co. and they called me in regards to the American Water Co. I have the same issues as all of the above. However, they called my mom's house after only calling me like one time, I couldn't get to my phone nor have any luck when I returned the call. They were very rude to my mom and asked to please be removed from the list. They then called her a***n on the same day. I called them the first time she gave me the message and the female told me not to call back. I told her she called me I'm returning the call and if I'm not to call back then stop calling me! I spoke with supervisor that said he would review call- doubtful he does as I worked in medical collections and for Sallie mae. I know how this works. They have told me in regards to my mom's # that it takes 24 hours to be removed which is possible. they told me they got my Mom's # from the water co. When I called the water co., they've never even had my mom's # listed olnly mine and my husband's. So I owe a debt that I thought was taken care of, but Penn Credit Co. I will not deal with as the LIE and are VERY RUDE!! I made arrangements with the water co. and they told me I could deal with them.
Angel Smith with Penn Credit Collection Agency. Calling relatives in other cities at random and leaving "urgent" messages about a collection that is invalid for me?!?! First of all, they have no debt to even collect. Denied knowing it was invalid, said they didn't have my number so they just call around hoping to find someone who knows me leaving "urgent messages". Now I have relatives calling me wondering what's going on. I immediately contacted my attorney. This is criminal.
I just got a call from these people, I called back because I thought it was for a student loan, that I am prepared to deal with, but instead it was for so****ing that I do not even know about, some purchase.. I told the lady that I have no clue what she is talking about and she was very rude, and told me that I didnt seem too conerned that someone ordered so****ing in my name and when was I going to file a police repot, I asked her to repeat herself and she stated slowly POLICE REPORT!!! I told her she doesnt have to be rude and that I am concerned and would get to the bottom of it, and she then asked a***n( rudely) well then when are you going to file a POLICE REPORT.. I was like WOW and said goodbye and ***g up...
Penn Credit harr***** me incessantly.
Collection agency looking for my next-door neighbor, who was evicted FOUR YEARS AGO. Have told them repeatedly that I am not them, and they say they will take my number off their list, but you know how that one ends up. How can they be stopped??
Thanks for the heads-up everyone. I have a Panasonic corded-cordless phone that has a built-in call blocker. From now on, this # will get a busy signal from our phone, and they are gone from our lives. What a nice feature!
they are calling for someone who does not live here.
these people called my 80 yr old mother's house in louisiana. i havent lived there in over 8 years. i havent given my parents' phone number as a reference in forever. i am not in collections on any accounts. i obviously dont owe anyone or they would know my real contact info. in addition, having worked in consumer lending i know for a fact it is illegal to do what they did when they called which was to say (according to my mom) "this is about a credit issue." what could be said is "this is a business matter" or "a personal matter.' how are companies like this even given a phone number! shut them down. disconnect their service!

We recently got a new phone # and we get getting a recording message from this number for some guy named Scott who we****umed had this number before. We don't get a chance to talk to a live person to explain to them the number they are calling is now ours.
In the past 6 months or more I have received calls frequsntly from this number. A couple of times a message was left on my answer ma****e saying it was very important to return the call, as there was important information on it for me. Other times it rings and no one speaks and then I **** up.
This company calls and does not answer if you call them back! What the heck! Why can't these people be stopped!
we get calls constantly. we are a buisness that has had the same phone number for 9 years. The phone calls s****ed this year and they are asking for someone that has never worked for, been a client of, or in any way been****ociated with the company.
ask me first
random caller does not leave a message
Someone needs to stop this company! They call my cell phone EVERY 2 HOURS from 10am Friday through Sunday night. This afternoon I answer the call and listened to the recording and it is for a person I don't even know!!!
Get calls on my caller ID from 1-800-900-1372 all times of the day & night. These people even call on Sunday. They have called my home 20 times or more a day. Recently was home from work sick and called Verizon to make a complaint; service rep from Verizon called this number and conferenced me in. Come to find out, this company was looking for someone that was not a relative of mine!!!! I think it's a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They claim that this person give them my phone number and address. These people for whatever reason Google and think that everyone is related. They need to understand that if I don't owe anyone money; don't call my @*%&$!# for someone else. Related or otherwise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Penn collection agency is calling for payment of a bogus debt! This has to stop.
THEY CALL ALL HOURS DAY OR NIGHT I'M ON DO NOT CALL LIST AND WILL NOT ANSWER IF IT IS UNAVALIBLE OR UNKNOWN
This number calls my home number 2 times a day everyday. When you pick up they say nothing.
please stop Penn Credit Collections to call people everyday!
Please stop them bugging people everyday!!!
This 800 number calls my cell phone almost every day. I don't know who it is and will not answer, they do not leave a message, but I don't want to use my minutes to hear an adverti*****t
This # is****igned to a collections agency out of PA. They are calling you because you owe someone somewhere money. They called me because of an unpaid red-light camera ticket. So, all you have to do is call them back, confirm your iden***y via name, telephone number, and mailing address and find out whats going on. They don't need your social, they already have it. So, call them up, settle your debt and move on with life.
They keep calling and not leaving a message , they call 4 times a day.
Called after 8:00PM and was nasty Then called 5 times more
Got automated message when I answered, then they asked for someone I don't know and I pressed menu option #3 for "She isn't home". Why don't they just add "If we have the wrong number, press 4" as another menu option so that they will not be calling anymore?
Voice said had message for my grandson. He was to press one if home. He does not live with me. Immediately ***g up without pressing one. Hopefully no more calls will be received.
I just keep getting calls from this number. They refuse to identify themselves. I don't owe anyone as my chapter 7 Bankruptcy was dischared in February, 2010. AND THEY ARE RUDE AS THEY CAN POSSIBILY WHEN I ASK THEM TO ID THEMSELVES.
People keep calling this number and saying they have an important message and for me to press a number so that I may hear it. I think that it is a collection agency for whomever owned this number before I did. It's annoying!!
Please stop calling me repeatedly, leaving a message, as I am not Stephanie. I have had my cell number about 18 months, so 'Stephanie' likely had my number previously.
they called me 2 times in the past 3 days and i don't know who it is.
no body there no message no need to keep calling
Calls a few times a month, sometimes a few times a day. It's an automated service, saying press 1 for english, 2 for spanish. Then they ask Robert ***dford to come to the phone for an important message. I am not Robert ***dford and I am not calling anyone and getting charged!
Call me at least 3-4 times a day, never identify who they are or what company they are from.
Comes up as private caller. Claims I have over due payment which is not true.
Comes up private number on caller ID. They call at least 3-4 times a day. I'm getting sick of these people calling. What can be done about this?
keep calling have is very very nasty, got mad when i would not give my address, it shows private call, the phone left i have block out.
calls from this number s****ed less than 24 hours after i got new cell phone service. I get 3-4 calls per week asking for kevin doog(?). never tried to call them back because I know that I get charged for calling a 900 number.
A message is left on my answering ma****e by this phone number at least twice a week. I have no clue who they are and they they to call them back about an important business matter. the message is always an automated voice and when I answered it once it was still just a ma****e. And when they ask for me they only use the first letter of my first name. And I have no outstanding debt to pay.
called from
On caller id says private call. Left message if you are unintelligble morrison call us back. Press key 1 if you are this person press 2 if not home press star to repeat this menu.
I have no outstandings bill and they keep calling me. They want me to confirm that I am who they are looking for. They are Penn Collectors, They call three times a day??
It was so scared to hear this automatic voiced call at night and weekend. Their practice is unfair and why police and government do not ergulate them. They should send regular mails.
I hated this very frequent ma****ed call from 800-900-1372. They ask me to call them back, but I tried to use a public phone to call them back. It seems this number is not a toll free number. Can somebody tell how to prevent thme calling us?
These people have been calling me for a couple of months. i've tried to call them back. But without success. Please somebody tell them to stop! THEY'RE RUINING MY LIFE! my wife and kids left because of these calls. and w***ver is calling should be found. AND ****!
My last name is Smith. This number keeps calling me looking for a Kimberly Smith. I do not know anyone named Kimberly Smith
told me to call back 800/900-1372 for important info. just got this phone 2 wks ago and its a totally new number. no one has it. and i dont owe anyone anything!!! cant be for me???
Man this number keeps calling way too much my cell phone - Mark Tahiliani (jm)
After receiving numerous calls after 10pm, I called the number left on my voicemail. The woman on the other end began asking questions and ACTIVELY REFUSED to identify herself or her company when asked. She then asked if I lived at an address that was over 20 years out of date. This "company" tries too hard to hide- it can't be a legitimate business.
Repeated calls for 4 months. No way of indicating I am not the person they are calling.
Got a call from this group many times..
Calls from this number multiple times per week and sometimes per day, every day of the week. Message left says they are debt collectors. I have no unpaid debts and an excellent credit score.
They are looking for some one and calling my cell phone they get my voice mail and then say that by continuing to listen to there message I acknowledge that I am the person they are looking for (I'M NOT)my phone is listening (voice Mail) this cost me money how do I stop it.
I used to work for this company, and I****ure you that they are not a scam and do not "buy" old debts. If you are a minor and recieving calls, its because either you signed up for some direct marketing merchandise (BMG Music, Columbia House, Book clubs) and didn't pay for it, or its for a medical bill that the hospital didn't put into parents names. If they are calling a wrong number, just get in touch with them and let them know, it is THE LAW that they remove it. If they seen like they don't speak english, its because most of their employees are from the ghetto and don't speak proper english. If you do have business with them and don't want them to call you, per the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, write them a letter to Cease Communication and mail to: P.O. Box 988, Harrisburg, PA 17108. I know how annoying these calls can be, and I'm ashamed that I ever worked there. As for the people that would call back repeatedly and ask about the weather? I thought that was hilarious and made my day better. Also, under the FDCPA, it is illegal for them to disclose their name on any recording, its called third party disclosure.
We received a call from this number as well. It was for my husband but I called back and they said to have him call this number back and wouldn't tell me who it was or why.
They called me and told me I owed $50 to the water company from 5 years ago - said they'd been sending me bills,... I said they were mistaken - finally realized it's a hoax - they are scamming people out of money!
i got calls from this number and a lady stated i owned $200 to Vonage the phone com[any, i never had Vonage in the past, then the lady said ohh sorry it was an erro and i will remove you number from the list...
They call 2-3 times per week at random hours and days. Once they called at 6am and I was barely awake. I asked if they knew what time it was, and they ***g up. Since then when I see a restricted or unlisted number, I just let it go to voice mail and listen later to see if it is legitimate or not. I don't know what it is about, but with that strategy, I'm not interested in calling back.
This number continues to call my phone and leave there voicemail. I called them back and they asked me for my telephone number that they had called and they were looking for a person who I don't know and they claim they will remove my number ..we will see..G
They have been calling me and calling me... Called them back. They are trying to collect a debt then to identify me they want my SS number. Sorry dont know them and not giving out my SS number. One would think they could identify me by my the phone number they called me on. I was even Ok giving out my birth date last 4 of the SS# or even past addresses... They could not identify who they were collecting for.
I just called the line as well, from a phone message the other day saying the call was regarding "important business". There was a long wait and I disconnected, thinking I should Google the number first. I was receiving calls like this a few weeks ago for someone with a botched name (couldn't make it out on the recording) and would always **** up.I am worried it is some scam to get people to pay an amount they are not truly liable for. NEVER EVER give bank info over the phone to an unidentified company or cause. A genuine corp. will send a letter of intent to really scare you into paying a valid unpaid claim.
they keep calling, they give no name, who they are and are very annoying. I do not owe them anything. Automated, Please block them from calling
They leave a emergency message and when I call back there is no Company name or anything that makes me feel safe about the phone call. They call even on Sundays unfortunately I haven't been home. I cannot call someone who cannot answer there phone w/ a company name. They are harrasing me and getting away with their rude phone calls.
Calls - Identifies as Ten Credit Corporation - Mentions some one named Ben Tooter? - the call is to collect a debt
I just called this number. I't's a collection agency, "Penn Credit". They told me I owed QVC $515.00!!! Ouch! I don't think so! I told them I didn't owe it and the girl ***g up on me.
Chrysler collections
Its def a collection agency. They are calling me about unpaid ez-pass tickets.
This is a business number for me at work that I have never given out. They just called with "an important message" and someone needed to call back with a reference number.
Calls and leave the "important message"
Same Here, I called them back, they had reached me in error so they just took my phone number off their list. It took 1 minute.
I called them back, they had reached me in error so they just took my phone number off their list. It took 1 minute.
Penn who ?I get these often on all my "Do Not Call " numbers.Never call back a ma****e cause if it was really inportant it would be People.
Got called and returned call with my unlisted phone number. They weren't even trying to reach me. I have had this phone number over 5 years! There is no excuse for their manner of leaving messages, "It is important that you call us back". I thought someone maybe had died!!!
Here is the correct information for that number... it is a bill collector and the rules of the do not call list don't stop bill collectors from calling.Penn Credit CorporationMailing address (Dropbox):Miami Dade CountyP.O. Box 988Harrisburg, PA 17108Phone: (800) 900-1372
I've been getting calls from this number as well. My phone number is on the do not call list and I will be reporting it to the phone company. All my calls are screened as the phone number is a business line.
I get a call from this # atleast twice a day for the past 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!! My home line is just an emergency line ,I never give out that #. Plus, I have put that # on the Do Not Call list! I called the # back and a person just answers saying this call may be monitored. Doesn't say the company name or anything!
