Leave a CommentI have received a call from 1-899-917-4194 at least twice a day for the past month and I want it to stop.
I got a call today from this number. They are trying to get you to buy tickets to a sport event-called Battle for the Badges. They are very pushy and rude, they keep insisting. I finally ***g up after I said no twice and he got upset, and laughed in shock I said no a***n. very rude.Battle of the Badges...
Have CID. This number has called me Aug 12 (12:02p; 3:23p)Aug 13 (2:07p; 6:10p)Aug 14 (10:33a)Aug 16 (12:09p; 3:16p; 7:10p)Aug 17 (6:26p)Aug 18 (1:26p)That's 10 times in 6 days!! I consider that harassment! Of course I don't ever pick up but it's annoying to walk over to the phone to see whether it's friend or foe ... foe this company decidedly is.
Irritated by 1-800-917-4194 calls all the time at my business and no one EVER says anything!
put on your don not call list !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got a call this morning; answered and they ***g up. Quick internet research shows that the call is from a for-profit company soliciting money supposedly to give to various charities. Xentel keeps between 80 to 90% of the money you donate, and only 10 to 20% actually goes to any charity (so if you donate $50, the charity gets $5 and the company keeps $45). They use fraudulent tactics (such as implying they are the charity when in fact they aren't) and have been caught in the past "over selling" tickets to events like magic shows, et cetera, telling people they are sending handicapped children in their area to these events (when in fact they don't). Do a little research on Xentel (google it). If you'd like to make a difference in your community, drop off a donation to a local food bank and/or hospital directly; always be su****ious of any charity that calls your phone or rings your doorbell.
Just happened to me as well **** up lolI am sure they are on a auto dialing system I will not answer this a***n

Received a scary phone call from this telephone number 800-917-4194, as well as an earlier call from 800-917-4196, which I also picked up but there was no one there. The guy knew my name and said he was calling from the Greater *city* Police and said that since he was talking to me he****umed I was not **password** quoting one of my passwords. This is truly scary. Likely a telemarketer.googling the number comes up with a opt-out list for http://www.xentel.com/

this number called me twice the first time i missed the call then the next day they called a***n but when i answered they just ***g up
Had a call today. Said it was the "Police & Firefighters Union". Didn't wait to hear more. I guess they were after money.
Getting tired of getting phone calls from 1-800-917-4194
Sometimes telemarketers send out mass calls just to see who picks up the phone...that way...they know if someone is home so that they can give the lists of people that are home to their employees to get better results! Scandelous ...I know..
Get these calls every day for a few days then don't hear from them for a few weeks then they s**** a***n. Under Ca***a's new impotent "Do Not Call" legislation (like the guys that passed it) we will fall into the category of "Prior business relationship in last 18 months" even though they do not talk to you, there has been an attempt to contact you. Now they can sell their services to other companies since they have established themselves in the category of prior business relationship. It gives you the idea that any company dealing with them must also be very slimey. I wonder how much it cost the lobbyists to buy off the politicians to put such a line into the legislation. When you consider all the exemptions, the political parties must have done quite well for themselves.
