Just wanted to update you all on this # from my previous note below from 1/30. My call them and leaving them a "marked urgent" message for them seemed to have worked. I did get one call back from them and they did get my message that I left for them on the recording. They stated that they will remove my number but then stated that since I donated the one time - the WHOLE cancer network - every cancer disease you can think of had access to my # as one who had donated and she explained that it's now set that only the ****** Cancer center will call once a year. They stated that they will note this on my account. Once a year they'll call... We'll see... My advise is to try to call 800-920-7963 leave a message on their ma****e and mark as urgent by going through the options also call Cancer Fund of America (I'm sorry I don't have the number here in front of me but it can be looked up on Google.)

Relentless! We seem to be getting a rash of these kinds of calls since the beginning of the year. What gives?

Repeatedly call, day after day, week after week. I typically let it go to my answering ma****e and they leave no message. They called 3 times on Jan 20th. The first I let go to voice mail. The 2nd time, I answered. Before they could speak, they were told to remove my phone # from their listing. The 3rd time they were reminded of the previous call, my request to remove my # from their list and were told if they were to call me a***n, I would file a report. I thought I was done with them. I have now s****ed getting phone calls from them a***n. Repeat calls every evening.

Cancer Center - told them to stop calling...have received 4 more calls today

This phone # does come up on my caller ID 3-4 times a day. I donated $10 to the Cancer fund of America back in November 2008. BOY, WHAT A MISTAKE that was! Now averaging calls 20 times a week from there. I just called a couple of times and left a message on their "answering ma****e" very firm asking -- no wait, TELLING AND DEMANDING them to take me off the call list and I marked the call as "urgent". We'll see if that works. I demanded on my message that they are not to call my number a***n. Well, time will tell. Hopefully it'll work. I'm NEVER going to donate to ANY organization that I do not initiate the call to them.

Cancer Fund - over and over a***n. When I phoned the number (800-920-7963)the automated answering ma****e indicated it was Cancer Fund of America. The voice continues to say "I'm sorry no one is available to take your call..." My intention was to ask them not to call. I received two calls last night and one today and wish they would stop. No message is left indicating it is the Cancer Fund.

keeps on calling late at night and leaves no message. these people should be banned. i rather hand money to the panhandler minding his own business, waiting to see if anyone has extra c****e. these folks are shameless and call 3-4 times all through the day and night.

They have been calling continuesly for several months several times a day, seven days a week using different numbers and leaving no message

I've received about 30+ calls in 3 weeks. I even tracked 6 calls in one day. At first I agreed to donate $10. Probably a week later I got a barage of phone calls asking me where my check was. I was surprised by how many times they called me to hound me for a $10 check. I simply had fogotten to put it in the mail. And though I felt bad for forgetting, they behaved worse than debt collectors! They ****ed my good will right out and now they will receive nothing. ever. I'm tired of people calling me, begging for money. It's one thing to have pan-handlers on the corner...It's another to have them find you in your home and violate your peace and privacy. Furthermore, it's appauling to have people - strangers - play on our emotions trying to guilt us into contributing. At one point when I tried to explain that I can appreciate contributing to veterans as I am one too, the tele-beggar s****ed quetioning me. This number has called my house repeatedly & can not take the hint that I'm not interested in speaking with them

First call received, I agreed to 25 dollar donation. But, suffered ***** of brother and then had major surgery. S****ed calling 9, 10 times a day. Explained situation I was in, told them when I was back to work I would donate 25 dollars. I have children, two of which are toddlers, so I understand. Please don't keep calling. It will be a couple of months before I am back to work. Said she would make note of it. Guess what! 8:01am the next morning the calls s****ed, (waking my children) and have not stopped since!! All Day Long!! Now I am not interested in donating. They have annoyed me out of it!!!! I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!!

Just received a call from the "cancer fund" asking for someone else. when i told the woman she has the wrong number, she asked if she was speaking with the lady of the house. she then proceeded to launch into a s***ch about children dying of cancer and could they count on me for a donation. i told her i don't donate over the phone and if they sent me some information, i'd be happy to look it over. she disregarded what i said, and continued to press me for a 25 dollar donation. a***n, i repeated my request, which she a***n ignored... this time asking me for a 15 dollar donation. i chuckled, at this point, and said "for the third time, if you send me information about your charity in the mail, i will look it over and make a decision". i heard a pause and then a dial tone. so frustrating that these people are scamming good, honest people out of their hard earned money. this is not the first time they have called, and i suspect not the last. is their nothing we can do?

'David Midell' keeps calling, insisting on talking to my husband. He's rude to me, and thinks that being pushy will convince me to hand the phone to my husband.

I have asked them several times to stop calling, I have told them I am not interested. 3 to 5 calls per day. Last time someone actually said "Hello...David..." I said not interested thank you he said "Hmm...are you sure". Give me a break. Call me every day 5 times a day, I will NEVER BE INTERESTED!

I receive multiple calls every night from this phone number.  No one ever answers and I have my phone blocked from soliciters.  I can't even tell them to take me off the list.This is very annoying.

I receive calls from thesr FREAKIN' people upto 5 times a day!  Sometimes they call close to 9 p.m.

Rec'd numerous calls in 2 wk period. Finally answering, I was told I donated in past. Not able to recall a year back at that point, I advised that my husband lost his job recently, and we needed to cut back on all our donations, and could not help THIS year. The caller completely ignored my response, and pushed for a commitment. I finally relented (my weakness)with a small amt. Then was pushed to mail back quickly. Will not donate a***n, sticking with ACS only.

Have received about 10 calls from this number today, s****ing at 9:00am and going until 8:58 pm. Must be a rule about call times. Newer leaves a message on phone mail. I WILL NOT ever answer a "Unknown" or a 800 series phone call.

Called 5-6 times a day for a week or two. It's getting old

Caller claimed we have donated before, I asked how much, she said $20 and was very insistant on me telling her how soon I could respond with my donation when I received envelope. I asked why that mattered, she said so they can count on that amount and when. Passed me off to her "secretary", that lady asked me for my first name, I said "You should have it if I've donated before." She just spelled my last name and confirmed my address then thanked me for my donation it will go to help the "victims". These calls make me very su****ious, saying I've donated before etc....The Cancer Fund of America does have a website, but not sure if this call was real. Or the call center they use doesn't have their act together. We have s****ed a donation list (very limited) and will only give to those from now on.

Last call 9:37 am 7-8-08. Have received many calls over past 2 months, told them to remove my number from their list.

Keeps calling at odd times, often won't say anything or reluctant to ID self. Sometimes says American Cancer society, sometimes american consumer services. Repeatedly asked not to call, calls just keep coming.

I am tired of this phone numnber calling me several times a day sometimes within minutes and ****ing up. I called the number back and left a message for them to not call me back-- they continue. I use to donate to the American Cancer Society but after this caller claiming they are from the Cancer Sociey I no longer . I have chosen another charity to give to.

i get the same calls from them 3-4 times a day. they either dont pick up or speak very rudely when they're not pleased with your response. i am going to complain to fcc, you cant stop them with donotcall registry since their charity, so i'll try fcc complaint.

I get constant calls from this number.  Tonight a person called, couldn't tell if it was male or female.  I asked "him" not to call a***n and told him my number is on the "do not call list".  He said "no its not Lady so just keep on getting your calls".  I checked the do not call registry and re-registeded all my phone numbers.  With nasty telemarketers like this, no one stands a chance of a donation from us.  We are generous and kindhearted working people who would help out a friend in need in a minute.  We have a friend who's child has cancer and are faced with many, many medical bills.  Completely rude person and I hope he loses his job.

Has called up to 7 times in one day. Will not answer or leave message. Have lost track of number of times they have called. Am tired of these calls. They are very aggravating.

Put the number on call blocker and report them to your attorney general. Jay Nixon, the Attorney General in Missouri contacted them and sent me a response from them. If everyone nails them, they will be put out of business sooner or later.

Someone on another thread posted a number for the "Cancer Fund of America" where you can be put on their do not call list. I'm calling later, but I thought I'd post that number for others to try...  313-565-5901.Good luck,Sberg

Calls at least 5 times a day. I already donate to American Cancer Society. That number must be a scam as no one is ever there, nor do they leave a message. Please make them go away. What good is the no call list that I am on?

We keep getting numerious call from 1-800-920-7963. It time we c****e the law for the bogus front groups and remove their exemption from the no call law. How can we stop them?  I am going to give up my land line and use cell and Skype through my computer.  I was rather pay 21 cent per min for call anywhere in the world than the phone company big bill so I can be a harassed.

called a***n.  spoke to Ian Goddard, who insisted that he hadn't called us since February of 2007. He was VERY rude and would not agree to have my number taken off his list.  He claimed to be calling from "Associated Community Services" which he insisted was one of my husband's charities. When I called back, i reached an answering service for "Cancer Fund of America".

They been calling me every couple of weeks (for several months now!) asking for a non-existent person. Every time they call, they say they are collecting for a different organization! First it was veteran cops, then later, for firemen!  We always tell them to STOP calling! And sometimes NOT in a very polite way!  I'm sure none of these organizations exist OR that this group doesn't give a single penny of the "Donations" to any legitimate organization!Today they s****ed calling, saying nothing and then ****ing up. I have tried to "Call block" them but that won't work with out-of-state or 800 numbers?! I tried to report them to the "National do not call registry" but since this phony organization poses as a Charity, Do not call Registry doesn't apply to this group!They continue to harass and be a royal pain in the ****! Report them to the FTC, the US Attorney General, your state Attorney General and put them on your call blocker list

Very persistent caller on.  They have called several times and each time I have asked them to remove me from their call list.  Like Caron - 13 Jan 2008 they state that they are from the Cancer Society.

This number has appeared on my caller ID for two or three months, sometimes 5 times a day, sometimes several minutes apart.  Today I answered it after 3 calls last evening and two calls this morning.  They claimed they were from the Cancer Society.  I told them not to call a***n.
