Leave a CommentNRC Recovery/Nations Group absolutely is NOT doing legal business. They research old debts paid and unpaid and then harass with phone calls. They will lie and say they own the debt. They don't. I called the person to whom I owe debt to and they said they never heard of this company. They refuse to give their real names, they do NOT operate as a real business and they do NOT operate within the confines of the law. They have several lawsuits a***nst them for illegal behavior and they have been in court for many violations over the past three years. Additionally, one of their "trainers" was arrested at their offices for impersonating a Georgia county police officer. DO NOT be taken in by this company. Know your rights and do some research. They cannot sue you for a debt they don't hold.Nations Recovery Center, Inc.PO Box 48719Atlanta, GA 303626491 Peachtree Industrial Blvd.Atlanta, GA 30360MAIN PHONE: 770-234-0101TOLL-FREE: 800-935-1139SALES: Ext:3028CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ext:2224 ADMINISTRATION: Ext:2223
NRC is not illegal!!! they are a debt collection agency who get referals from companies that you owe so pay ur bills and stop complaining!
I received a call from Ms Woods who states she is calling for a claim for money I filed with their company. This is an outright lie and is illegal under the State of California FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act) which in this case if I were to filed a claim a***nst THEM for illegal debt collection, false and fraudulent acts on their part as harrassment, I could be awared $500,000.00. I don't file claims, but I might consider it now, I know a fraud when I smell, hear, taste and see one. I will be considering filing a claim the next time I receive the call and will ask for their information in writing as evidence of a fraudulent act. Go Away Satan!
NRC are not scammers they have a legitimate complaint a***nst you from a bank that contracted them to collect their funds from you. Apparently this bank has backed a credit card in your name and want their money. The intention is for you to call to resolve the debt you owe. Hiding for seven years while your credit goes down the drain is not the solution. Why not just call them back and setup a payment plan, you honestly owe the debt. If you paid your bills you would not receive any calls. Find a way to work out a payment plan and stop the calls. Pay your bills so that the interest rates and fees remain stable in America and others don't suffer because you have not paid. My interest rates and fees went up because I have good credit, I am paying for complainers on this website and I personally do not appreciate it....PAY YOUR BILLS PLEASE...STOP COMPLAINING
When will these idiots quit harassing me?!?! They called a***n. I just don't answer the phone but they leave a message. They are calling for someone I do not know and I have told them this repeatedly!! Are they scammers? Even when I answer the phone I don't give them any info except tell them a***n and a***n that they have the wrong number. MOVE ON!!! I guess it's just a bunch of losers trying to find an idiot to fall for their ****. Quit calling me cuz I will never fall for it. And I am going to file a complaint with the AG. I have recorded my telling them they have the wrong number and requesting them to stop calling. They have said they will but they call twice a week every week. They c****e the number they call from but it's the same voices giving me different names every time they call. THey must be scammers and can't even remember what name they use. MOVE ON!!!
i have been receiving wrong number calls from a collection agency (this is one of the numbers they call from) for at least 6 months. i have told them numerous times they have the wrong number and they have claimed they will take my number out of their system. guess they lied cuz they keep calling. i have now filed a complaint with the fcc. i am considering filing a complaint with the attorney general. the last person i asked to remove my number actually screamed at me!!! extension 2008
Calling me with the same deal! "We need to speak with your attorney" message being left-call to find out what the deal is and they **** up on me- these people are a joke!
Got a call from a Ms. Bonita Mitchell telling me that they were doing an internal investigation and needed my formal statement in this business matter. She then went on to say that if i obtained an attorney me or the attorney could call them back at 18009351139 ext 2136 and to give a refernce number she left. She then went on to say that if i did not return her call that a decision would be made and that it may not be in favor. A threat!!!Has anyone monitored these people calls. They are bold to leave messages. I have been saving mine. Want to forward them to someone that will take action and report these people.
Well they have been calling me, i got called trailor park trash, ***, and told to get a job, BUT they wont give me any information about the debt, so i have no idea what its about, they keep calling my cell phone, after being told not to. They wont even answer the question if they are a 3rd party collection. does anyone know?
I got a call from some man calling himself Charles Perez from the national Recovery Agency stating that a case has been filed a***nst me at the beginning of this month and that I or my attorney to contact him immediately or I will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law...I know that my credit is not the best, but I have no outstanding debts...I read somewhere that there are companies that buy old collection debts 7 years and older, tack on a couple ***dred and refile them as new...this happened to me in August as well with another company. I did what the sprite guy said and asked for a certified letter proving my debt, they declined to do so and I have not heard from them since...people really need to get a life yo, for real...
Nations Recovery Center employee faces jail time for Felony Impersonating a Police OfficerTuesday, November 18, 2008 – updated: 6:52 pm EST November 18, 2008DORAVILLE, Ga. -- A credit collector has been charged with impersonating a Fulton County police officer. Real officers arrested 39-year-old Joseph Jackson at his workplace in Doraville. Police said Jackson was wearing an officer’s uniform, complete with a fake badge, patches and a firearm. Jackson works as a trainer at National Recovery Center, a debt collection agency. The CEO of the company told Channel 2 he was shocked by Jackson’s arrest. VIDEO: Credit Collector Accused Of Impersonating Police Officer http://www.wsbtv.com/video/18010134/index.htmlPolice said they are investigating to see if Jackson used the uniform to act out in a law enforcement manner. “They received a tip Joseph Jackson was impersonating a police officer at that location,” said Lt. Reese Williams with the Doraville Police Department. Jackson isn’t a real police officer, but investigators said he dressed the part very convincingly. When police caught up with him outside his workplace, he was wearing a full uniform complete with Fulton County patches on it and a gun belt, handcuffs and one of two handguns that police seized. SLIDESHOW: Items Obtained From Suspected 'Fake Cop' “When he was confronted about working for the Fulton County Police Department, he did produce a Fulton County police ID, which was fake because the Fulton County police officer we had with us there said it was fake,” said Williams. Jackson also had a badge with the initials NCR, or National Recovery Center Unit, said police. But the CEO of the company said Jackson had no law enforcement role at National Recovery Center. “He finally admitted he did not work for the Fulton County Police Department and that’s when he was arrested,” said Williams. Police said they asked Jackson why he was dressed as a cop. “He said to us, he’s always wanted to be a police officer,” said Williams. Doraville police said Jackson had the proper permits to carry weapons. He faces felony charges for impersonating a police officer and fraudulent identification.
Just got my first call from them and got to hand it to them for creativity! "I need for you or your attorney to call me back or 'action' will be taken a***nst you." Well yeah, the action is that they are going to call an bug me to ***** but I really do like the "you or your attorney" line! Mine was Mr. Andrew at ext. 2114. I too will follow Spritle's advice!
on Received a call on my answering ma****e. Urgent that I contact a miss Jackson of NRC immediately or have my attorney call them. She had a extension number also. This was ar 8:15 a.m. I am considering turning off my phone just to eliminate these kind of harrasments. Not a good way to s**** the morning.
Company name is Nations Recovery Center. Collections agency that breaks every rule of the FCPA.
I received a call from a Ms. ***nd at this number with the ext. 2028. She gave me a reference number and said it was for an unresolved claim in her office for the State of Florida. I know of no outstanding debt that I have with the State of Florida. I am not going to call her back, but if she contacts me a***n I'll ask for the certified letter.
I have received 2 calls now stating that it is EXTREMELY urgent and that I, or a legal representative need to return their calls immediately because I am under investigation. I called back and left a voicemail for this guy named David Heysoos? and have not received a call back. I googled the number and thankfully I found this site. I know now that I shouldn't be too concerned.
My Mom had a message on her ma****e from this number. The man who left the message was Eric Walker. He said to call her regarding a matter he is investigating. He also mentioned my name and I haven't lived at that residence since I was married 12 years ago. When my Mom called back he asked her if he had left a ref., or claim# on the message. She replied no. She said he couldn't seem to find anything, yet he knew my married name and she wouldn't give him any information. I found it very odd. I also tried contacting him but just got transferred to a voice mail of another person. Neither my Mom or I have any outstanding credit card debt so this is all making me very uneasy. I am very tempted to call one of the local T.v. stations in my area that investigate things like this. I would love to know if anyone has any updated info on this.
I have recieved calls indirectly form these people through my grandparents of the same last name. They threatened my grandparents to have me get a lawyer due to a past balance owed of some sort. I too did some googaling of the number and found this message board along with the supposed companies website. I will however take the advice of previous posts and have them send this case via certified mil to further deal with the situation. They would not elaborate when questioned and I know my credit history extensively due to recently aquiring loans for graduate school, so I know for a fact I have no outstanding balances of any sort. This company is a pathetic nuisance and appears to enjoy preying on unsuspecting hard working people!!
goggled number and NRC came up. I also received calls from this number two days in a row. I asked for their information. They gave me an extention a Ms. (somebody). They said it was in regards to an "asset income investigation" and gave me a reference number for my account. I also like Spritle's suggestion of asking for a certified letter. I will probably tell them to never call me a work either too. From what I hear once you tell them they are not allowed to call you at work a***n. Thanks for the comments
from NRC - couldnt understand the womans name - said she was doing an INVESTIGATION in my state, and it was being finalized, and if I failed to call, the results would be both unfavorable, AND unfeasable for me. Well, she got the UNFEASABLE part right!
Thank you for posting your notes here! We just received a call from a "Kevin Baker" at this number, and were initially concerned. We happened to google the number, and discovered this site. We're much at ease to know what this is. Should they call a***n, we'll use Sprite's remark above. I have a ***ch that, given the current credit/mortgage crunch, these collection agencies are pulling out all the stops to get their hands on every red cent that might/might not be owed.
This company calls my place of employment asking to speak with a co worker daily, sometimes several times a day. I have repeatedly informed them after being told they are calling in regard to a "personal matter" that employees are not to receive personal calls. Once I state this they almost always **** up on me!! Very frustrating and certainly unprofessional to say the least!
I received several calls from a Victoria Road say that she has ask to speak with my legal rep and that she has requested this more than once and she was tired of calling me. I called the number back with her ext. and there was no name on the voice mail or name of the company. This woman is calling me at my job more than once
They are a collection agency. They have been calling me and harassing me with idle threats, lies, and intimidation several times a day, 7 days a week, for money that I don't even owe. If you call them and ask for your debt to be "verified by certified mail". You are legally en***led to this. Once you make that request, they are only allowed to call you one more time, until your debt verification comes via certified mail. In a lot of cases, they won't even bother to send certified mail, so by law, they will not be able to call you anymore. Should they call you more than once after you make this request, you can file a lawsuit a***nst them (just add it to the many that they already have pending a***nst them for similar violations). You can also send them a "cease contact" letter in the mail (request a return receipt for proof that they received it). If they call you a***n after the cease contact letter, you can file a lawsuit a***nst them. Hope that helps!!
Gentleman left a msg. Said I am going to have a case a***nst me. Don't want to call back. They can send it to me in writing.....
