MATT AT UCB COLLECTION IS VERY RUDE! CALLING OTHER PEOPLE OTHER THEN ME. WHEN I ASKED WHY HE DIDNT LEAVE A MESSAGE HE SAID "I DONT LEAVE MESSAGES"*****O HOW AM I TO KNOW HE CALLED! SOOOOO RUDE!

1-800-935-1798; receptionist says "UCB", but won't tell you what that stands for until you give your "reference number". Then she says United Collection Bank. That is not searchable on the web, by the way. So called debt collector then wants your SSN and home address because you owe money to someone. Funny thing is, the company he said I owed money to was false since I've never done business there. I took this as an identify theft attempt and would not give him my information. Then I called the company I supposedly owed money to and they confirmed that I did NOT have an account, nor any record of prvious account. The did not know a company called United Collection Bank. I've reported the number to the Federal Trade Commission and to the Attorney General's Office.

Matt from UCB at EXT. 3725 called looking for someone that "gave our name as a contact" that I have'nt seen in 26 years!!! This is ridiculous. I have a private number and am on the DO NOT CALL list...

Identified self as Ken Stewart (sp) of UCB, looking for Mr Robert Rindels (our former inlaws). Leaves this number & extension 63861 and a file# and wants us to call him back regarding Robert Rindels or his wife Jane Rindels, as he needs to talk with them about so****ing very urgent.

I have 5 missed calls on my house phone and 4 on my cell in a matter of 2 minutes from 954.  Mr Barry from 800.935.1798 ex 63962 called me on my cell and my house phone ( my house number is not given out and is unlisted) left messages on both phones saying it was a legal matter to which he felt I had no awareness of, he wanted me or my attorney to call him back immediately. I have been reading a lot about this 800 number harrasing people and texting them from other peoples number to make it look like it is the other person texting and not the company. I did call my attorney and told him what was going on, I gave him all the information and he is going to get back to me. If I find out who these people are I will let everyone know.

Mr. Bartelski x63699....doesn't say who he's with....sounding very hateful. I will only deal with the credit card people themselves. Yes, I'm behind in my payments....why? see  FDCPA and BTW this is Federal law Friday 5/14/2010                            The same had called on Wed 5/12/10Got a call from 1-800-935-1798 asking me about a former neighbor.  She gave me the extension 63856.  She gave me her name is Ms Blackstone.  She said she is very concerned about my neighbor.  I told her I haven't seen the person for a long time.  I asked her how she got my number and I have nothing to do with the former neighbor, she **** up the phone.   I called the number back and talked to a woman who would not tell me their company name.   I called a***n and a guy with a heavy Spanish accent took the phone.  I requested for the extension to leave a message.  He told me he can see my number and repeated my number to me.  I asked him if it is possible to leave a message, he insisted I gave him the message.  I told him I would rather leave it on the extension of the person who initiated the call.  He told me to call my boyfriend or my husband and ****-up.  Since I wanted to stop them leaving messages or calling my neigbor through my phone, I called a***n and a Ken, took the phone, I asked him for the extension that and asked me who is the collector I am trying to reach.  When I gave him the extension, he said she is Solantos and she lied to me her name is Ms Blackstone.  I explained to him that I do not want to be receiving their phone calls and he apologized

Ms. Hudson left message for my husband saying they wanted to get in touch with someone we never heard of. When I called back and said we didn't know the person she told me their research showed by husband as a close relative. When I said it looked like a scam Ms. Hudson was rude,and said maybe she should investigate me. When I asked the name of the company she ***g up but had said "United Bureau" when she left the original message on my ma****e. Someone also called my husband's son looking for the same person.

Claudine x63802 - They called for my highschool sweetheart to whom I have not spoken to in 18 years. At first I thought it might be a debt collector, but it seems kind of weird they would be calling me 18 years later?? I didn't even have this phone number 18 years ago so it may be a phishing scam. The lady was actually polite to me whe I told her I had no idea where to find him and said she would remove my phone number. We'll see ...

when this call came through all that showed up was 954...Nicole left a message that i needed to call this number, extension 63603.  i called back and was answered by UCB by NICOLE.  When I asked what UCB was she asked me for an extension, I asked three times what UCB was and on the third time she ***g up on me.  I guess it wasn't so urgent after all.

Have called over and over leaving a message saying it is necessary for me to return call at 800-935-1798 ex.63856. I called the number they aswered UBC when I inquired on who they were and what kind of company they ***g up.When I gave them the extension they said she wasn't there.

Keeps calling and saying it is imperative that we call. I called the number and tried to find out who they were and they said UBC. I asked what kind of company they were and they ***g up on me.

Can't tell who this group is, but they are rude and demanding. I called them back, asked for the extension and got some other person who wanted me to give them the last of my SS#. When I did NOT she gave it to me. Anyone can get that. When I would NOT speak to her without her telling me who they are she got even more rude. Well and so did I and ***g up. I'm thinking collection agency, but they sure are rude.

This company called my mother in law's neighbor. they live in florida & the representative told the neighbor that they needed to get in touch with my mother in law to collect a debt. even told the neighbor it was regarding a credit card debt & gave her the account number!. then left a number 800- 935-1798 ext 639071. They have violated the FDCPA section 805 (b).

Sonia Alvarez left a message on my answering ma****e looking for my 25-year-old daughter. I returned Sonia's call but she was not there. I was told they were a debt collector and they wanted a social security number. Sonia is supposed to call me back tomorrow.

Keep calling saying that I have to call them back and that is of grave importance. They never say what it is about just that I am going to regret it if I don't call them back. They never say what it is about so until they do I am notcalling them back.

Man called and left raspy voice message for me to call 800-935-1798 extension 63600, reference code 51120247. Caller said my name. He identified himself as Eddie Sanchez or it was in reference to Eddie Sanchez.Don't know these people and don't care to. We do not have unpaid debts, so I doubt it's a debt collector.Whatever you people do, do NOT call them back and do NOT give anybody's phone number to them.

They have called several times now looking for my ex. I tell them to stop calling and they wont listen.

10/30/2009Had voice mail with message for a Simon Mendez (who I never heard of) requesting I have him return call to 800-935-1798 ext 63603 by 3PM and that it was urgent. No name of caller and no company name. Caller knew my name even though it is not on my voice mail greeting.

weird call from Sandy at ext 63659 asking about a "relative of mine" ...the person she mentioned is not actually a relative.

a person claiming to be Sonya Alverez at ext 3631, called my parents home phone asking my fiance to call them about a person who put him down as a job reference. He called back and he said he did not know the person. After discussing the situation with my parents, the person who they were asking about ends up being one of their neighbors.Then I received a call from the number but only showed up 954, asking for my mother. We have no debt so it must be they are looking for information regarding a neighbor of my parents. Thus they must be "phising" for information or maybe even "dumpster diving". I have filed a complaint with the FTC as well as filing a complaint with the authorities. I hope they know that just because you use a fake name doesnt mean you can't personally be held responsible. The law should hold the individual responsible as well as the ****ey mouse operations they work for.

I've recieved some call from a guy named Joshua he keeps on calling me that he wants to talk to me about a legal case. It bothers me because he calls my family . My submission number is 3313.

Someone from this company has repeatedly called me looking for someone who does not live here. I've asked that my number be removed from their list. I've had 3 calls since requesting that. Last request for removal from call list was 9:15 a.m., Aug 13, 2009. I spoke with a lady named Donna at 1-800-935-1798. Her ext is 63965. From the tone of the calls, I suspect it is a debt collection agency.

Same Ms Hudson has called several times with same message for a relative not living with us. The first two times their phone number was blocked. I answered one call and she was very nasty when I asked what the problem was. It was the same ... very important call and wanted my relatives phone number. The last time she finally left the phone number with ext. 63829. Sounds phishy to me.

We believe this is a fishing scam, looking for credit card numbers etc. We have no debts, so we doubt it is a legitimate debt collector. A "Mr. Thomas" insisted we call him back, gave us an extension and a reference number.

Called for my wife's former brother-in-law from 13 years ago. When we informed them we no longer have any contact with him, they said we needed to get in touch with him and have him call them back. They were rude and agressive. The guy they are talking about doesn't even live in this state and we haven't see or spoke to him in 12 years!

I just received a call asking me to call that number back with extension 63631 by 9PM tonight. They said it was important that I meet with Sonja Averez???
