I was called by a ma****e on Fri 22 August @ 9:30 GMT it said that a form I had filled out to enter a compe***ion had won a vacation for 6 days all inclusive to Cancun for four people and press 1 to claim your prize, as I know my wife is always entering these compe***ions I asked her if she knew of a form to enter a compe***ion - It was quite likely. I decided to press 1 and a guy answered with an Indian accent quite difficult to understand who then said congratulations you have won a vacation for 14 days and 13 nights including 6 days in Cancun then 5 days in Orlando Florida with free entry to Disney World and then 3 days in Daytona Beach for 4 people. At this point I was very su****ious and asked him where I had entered the compe***ion, he became uncomfortable and could not give me a direct answer and tried to avoid the question at this point he gave me his number: 1-800-***-3250 He then went on to say that all the info would be sent to me by post and repeated the vacation offer, now he asked me to confirm my address so I did. Next he said that I only needed to qualify 2 criteria to claim my prize 1 must be over 21 and 2 must have a visa / master card. He insisted that someone in my house must have a visa or mc, I went back to the "where did I enter this compe***ion" question, he a***n avoided it and went on to say that the dialler had selected my number and that that was all the info he had as his company works for the promoter when I asked who the promoter was he said VISA and MC, I put him on hold while I discussed this with my wife and we decided this had to be a trick, no way would she have put her card details on a compe***ion entry form. I ***g up........ I put his number in Google and came up with this site. These people have moved on from Ca***ians and are now in the UK.

Received a recorded call to advise I can reduce the interest rate on my credit card as a limited time offer... press 1... I did... when the woman answered, I asked what company she was with, she stated Mutual Consumer Savings.  I said "I don't have a credit card with you" ... she ***g up.

Apparently this company is****ociated with your financial ins***ution. IF you want to avoid these phone calls you can call your bank and advise them to take you off their list. This is a ligit company, they recieved your info from the Credit Bureau Services who works with your bank.Don't panic. Just tell them you're not interested, as Ca***ian Banks don't lower interest rates anyways, and you will contact your bank and advise them to remove you off the list. done and done!

Had this same call and was ***g up on when I told them to put me on their "do-not-call" list. When I called back I was transferred to a voicemail system asking for a time and number that they could contact me at to give me more information. I left a message sating (roughly) "I have had this call several times now, and each time I ask to be put on the do-not-call list, I am ***g up on. From here on out, all calls from your company will be recorded and turned over to proper authorities." I haven't had a call from them since.

googled this number and this page popped up. Have been receiving repeated nuisance calls from these people. Finally awnsered one of these calls to see what the scam was. A man with a very heavy east indian accent calling himself William Wilson (first clue) giving me his contact info (800 *** 3250 x786)in a failed attempt to solicit my information from me. He wanted my credit card balance, limit, expirary date and number. I have reported them to the police and RCMP, to what end I dont know. I would encourage others getting these scammers calling them to do the same. I would love to know how they got my contact information. Scary.

Got a call from Scott Shockley. Going to save me a lot of interest. This is a scam, Howcome ***ody is going after these people. Why are they allowed to have a phone line?

I got a phone call from  1-800-***-3250 which came up no name no number on call display....The man claimed his name was Robin...he was a very east indian accented man..he claimed he wanted to lower my interest rates on my mastercard and visa card to 3-9%. He seemd like he knew a lot...he claimed that he worked for a ligit company and that I was safe. He seemd to know a lot about me and made me feel comfortable. I gave him too much information..He then tranferred me to another gentalman...who just repeated himself over and over agian, and made it seem like he knew what he was talking about. Then as he was talking I "googled" the phone number and this is what popped up. So I read a couple things on here as he was talking and aventually ***g up on him. That same "unknown number, name" called me 4 times right after one another...it was crazy. I called my credit card company's right away and c****ed my account numbers..PLEASE DO NOT do this..IT"S A SCAM and my credit card company agrees...ONLY USE YOUR Credit card company.......!!!!!!!

I too received a call today after presing 1 I talked to scott shockley, he gave me a call back number of 1-800-***-3200 Ext 500. I too was informed of a savings on my CC of up to 6 %. After I tald him I didn't want to give my CC numbers over the phone, he ended the call quite quickly. Scam perhaps??

same routine as all the others.  My callers were Jenny Parker and David Williamsboth with very heavy Indian/****stani accents.  "David" got very upset when I told him I didn't believe that was his name.  Unfortunately, I had given them way too much info before being told they wanted $690.00 for all their help in getting my interest lowered.  Called and cancelled my card numbers immed. afterordering them to void all my info. Will never fall into that a***n.

I got similar call from MCS by a Mr. Tony Adams, who claimed he could lower credit card rates to the prime rate. Seem almost legitimate - he even gave the number to call back - 1-800-***-3250 ext. 786 at a later date. The office gave me times they were open, etc. I called two of my credit cards and told me it was likely a scam.

Same here. His name was Don Jones. what a scam. ext. 786 as well.

I just got a call from a woman (her name was Felica) with a southern accent claiming they could lower my interest rate to 6% on my cc. First it was a recorded message and to push 1 to speak with a rep. When she came on the phone, he asked me what my balance was on my cc.. I told her I couldn't remember and that my fiance had my cc and was travelling. I asked for a number to call her back and she gave me 1-800-***-3250 dept. 700. I was not going to give them any information, knowing it was a scam. I wanted to check this out online first.... and here I am with many others.

I received this call today too.  I gave them the run around. I use to work in the financial business.  When I asked them how they got my financial information they told me that the Credit Bureau Services gives them the names of people who always pay on time and deserve a lower interest rate.  Then they asked me if my Credit Card was maxed out or close to the limit because credit card companies won't lower the interest payments if they are maxed out or close to it. They just want to make sure they will get their money!!!  The number is was given was 1-800-***-3250 but the ext. was 500 and it was a woman with an american (Southern states) accent calling. When I s****ed to question differences on their website like phone numbers and where was there international office she stammered but came up with some really good answers.  These people are very good at scamming people!  They told me they could bring down my interest rate by 12% immediately but put me on hold to contact my credit card company.  Came back about a minute later and told me it was approved with my company.  I hadn't even given her any info on my card yet and never planned to.  I kept on going with her and then she told me it would cost me a one time fee of $795 that would come off of my credit card and with the lower interest rate she got me it would pay for itself in the savings I would receive.  Then she passed me on to the Supervisor because I called them on their scam.  The supervisor s****ed all over wondering why I thought it was a scam.  She told me they have been in business for 10 years and they are a very reputablo company.  When I asked her how the other lady knew I was approved when I didn't even give her my cc number.  She said they have a list of companies that cooperate and a list that don't and mine was on the list that does.  I told her no thank you and ***g up!

Just received the call from Peter Anderson company MCS 800-***-3250 ext 045was telling we can reduced the interes rate.First he asked for the amount owing then the limit then asked for the card number and expiry date.I did not want to give any informations and he suddenly **** up.This has to be a scam.

SAME THING HERE SAID HE WAS WITH CARDMEMBER SERVICES WAS GIVEN TO THEM BY MY VISA AND MASTERCARD TO OFFER ME LOWER RATES OF 6% EAST INDIAN SOUNDING GUY ASKED ME WHAT CARDS I HAVE ASKED ME BALANCES ETC THEN ASKED ME TO GO GRAB MY CARDS, ASKED ME IF THE 1-800-NUMBER ON BACK OF ONE OF THEM MATCHED NUMBER HE GAVE ME THEN ASKED ME TO GIVE HIM THE 7 DIGIT CODE OFF BACK, I SAID NO DO YOU THINK I AM ****** HE SAID NO NO WE ARE LEGIT COMPANY WE ALREADY KNOW ALL YOUR INFO THIS IS JUST FOR VERIFYING THEN DIRECTED ME TO THERE WEBSITE MCSPROGRAMS.COM WHICH MY NORTON BLOCKED AS A FRAUDELENT WEBSITE WITH SECURITY ERRORS HE SAID MUST BE BECAUSE I HAD ANTIVIRUS AND SO****ING ABOUT FLASH CARDS AND WEBSITE OPERATING ON THEM STILL REFUSED TO GIVE ANYMORE INFO THEN LINE WENT REALLY NOISY STATIC I ***G UPNUMBER SHOWED ON CALL DISPLAY AS 000-000-0000

I received a call about lowering interest rates on my Master Card. Kept asking for more info about when my card expires etc. Wanted the 7 digit code on the back of the card. When I asked for aname and phone number the man with an Indian Accent told me his name was Jude Law...I burst out laughing. This has got to be a scam.
