Leave a Commentsaid was citibank asked for my email to verify
The voice message stated that my credit card was undeliverable. I was not waiting for any credit card. Probable phishing
Received an alert from Experian but it appears to be a scam
Called CitiBank - they confirmed the number was a valid Citi number and advised me the call was just a reminder that I had the most updated card and to destroy any old cards. The rep I spoke to confirmed my card was current, valid and no action was needed.
A man who said his name was Oliver Fernandez with Citi card asked if I attempted to buy so****ing online from an overseas merchant, or if I allowed anyone else to do so. He told me he was going to disallow the charge, close my card account and send me a new card. First he wanted me to give him expiration and code on back to verify. I told him I would call Citi myself and he said ma'am, that is why I am calling you from Citi. No need to call, I am calling you. When I didn't give him info, he gave me first 4 of my CC number and wanted the rest of it. The whole number! I would not do that and said I'll call him back. Then he gave me the last four and wanted me to confirm. Turns out, he did not have my most current card number. He had the card that was hacked a few months ago. I ***g up and called Citi. They confirmed no attempted purchase was showing on the account. Be careful.
wanted my social security number
told me people other than myself are making charges on my CLOSED Amazon account
received a call from 880-950-5114 telling me people were making charges to my closed Amazon account
Got home about 6pm and answered a call from this number because my phone identified it as Citibank. The man on the phone had a name I could not*****ounce and s****ing asking me to confirm password for my just replaced citicard. . He had an amazing amount of information like DOB last 4 of ss last 4 of cell phone number.. He kept telling me to **** on while he checked things on his system.. The call took too long and I told him he made me uncomforable and I needed to get off of my feet because I just got home. He said I will send you a fraud alert to your cell phone so you know I do work for citi. After a coule minutes his 2 fraud alerts did not come thru.. I said goodbye and ***g up. He called back but I did not pick up the phone, instead I called the fraud dept of citi only to find out someone had just submitted a charge for over 1K for a place I have never heard of... so the fraud dept immediately blocked that charge and another from wish. So for the 2nd time in 2 weeks this card has been compromised.. The fraud dept said it was probably from shopping online. Be very careful if you have citicard.
So****ing is wrong with the credit card , that I they sent a registered letter that I declined and I needed to call them back.
claim my Citi bank credit card has just had a $800 charge in a casino in Vegas. They wanted the last 4 of my card to 'verify'.
They texted saying my card was returned to them and i needed to update my address
Trying to confirm suspect charges on account. Knew last 4 of my SS# quickly read off last 4 of Citi account I closed yrs ago. When I said I did not have any Citi accounts he then said my info had been compromised, asked for other account information and SS#. I laughed and ***g up.

Don’t answer the phone
Wants you to enter your credit card number & Social Security Card number.
Scam
Scam caller, didn't leave a message.
Foreign criminals who claim they have lower interest rates display a Caller-ID that goes to the actual Citibank customer service center, so there's no way to identify the actual criminals who are calling, and the actual Citibank is not involved in this.
THIS A SCAMMER. DON'T ANSWER THIS NUMBER
He told me he was Jamie Dimon in a Asian accent...SMH Every day I get a minimum of 2 calls from this number.

Probably. Never left a message. Call CitiCard phone# on its back is the right way to ask about account balance instead.
Scammer answered and it went into a message stating they had been trying to make contact for a long time - about lowering my interest rate on my credit cards - BUNCH OF BS - no credit company wants to lower interest rates they only want to find a way to increase BS ! !
Kept this A.H. on phone as long as I could to avoid him scamming another caller. He would not give me phone # so I said to return call when I have more financial information. Where to these phonies get nerve to call honest citizens like myself ?
This number is s****ed. Citibank has the real number, and won’t give it to me. BS galore.
Unfortunately, this is a double edged sword. This number is legit for Citibank IF YOU call it. However, Incoming calls from this number are likely the "CC Interest Rate" ROBOCALL PHISHING SCAM. DO NO ANSWER.
I pressed "1" for more information, trying to get my number off the list. Yeah, I know, a waste of time. When I asked the middle eastern slime ball to take me off the calling list he ***g up on me. Yep, just as I thought. The scam continues.
