These guys are legit as I was wondering about the charge on my card.  Then reading this post I realized it was for a marathon race I registered for.  These guys ARE LEGIT.

Never received a call, but it was a $12 charge on my ban account. I took my son and a friend to a water park, so based on others responses, am****uming this the charge from the water park in Frisco. Legit.

Got charged on my debt card with being swiped! with recware and that phone number. No idea who that is.....

I got charged $226 on my visa as act*santaclara 1 800 951 0403. It is a golf company and I have never used it. Please be wary of this fraud

I didn't receive a call from this number, but it's listed alongside "Recware Registration" on my bank statement, along with a charge for $10. I haven't registered for anything, especially not a park or recreation service if that's what they are. I am not happy.

I was upset but this is for anytype of Parks and Rec center active.

Yeah, we work with countless organizations around the globe and handle the credit card transactions for a majority of these organizations.  It could be for a summer camp, swim team, fishing license, marathon race, sports league, etc...

I called to complain about this random charge, and then realized after coming here it is used by City of Hillsboro Oregon community events.  I just signed my son up for a team.  This is LEGIT

Agreed!  This California company must be processing claims for local services.  We're in Michigan and our $40 charge is for local swimming lessons.  It's legit.

OK I got another charge for $31 (after cancelling and reissuing a new card) so I finally got ahold of Cust service.  OOPs, it's for swimming lessons from my local parks and rec... Not a fraud in my case.

I found out that these guys sell their online service for all sorts of events such as marathon entry fees, rec sports fees, donations, etc., and then their name appears on your statement because they process the credit card.  These guys are legit.

Active.com is a online processing service for local sports clubs and recreation centers. If you sign up your kid for swimming at the local city pool or play softball and pay with a card, that is whom processes the charge. They are not fraudulent just need to learn how to itemize the bill statement

I had 3 separate charges also on my VISA with ACT*WORTHINGTON 800-951-0403 CA - I had to cancel my credit card!

2 seperate $37 charges on my mastercard on the same day "ACTIVE*Reno"  with the return number 1-800-951-0403

Looks like this is a fraud company - they have charged me twice in recent months with ACTIVE *SANTA CLARA.I haven't subscribed anything from them
