Leave a CommentLike others, I received a call from someone who barely spoke English. I think she was trying to persuade me to send money because I had won so****ing and had to pay taxes before receiving it.These scammers must have been in a coma for five years or so. Does anyone still fall for this???
Wont stop calling!!
I keep getting calls from this number late in the evening after going to bed. Some days more then once. After answering the phone, no one responds.
1-800-976-1843 calls several times a day. no one on the line when i answer. when you call it back it does not go through. would like to block them but dont know how.
They've been calling three times a day, every day, for a few weeks. Fortunately, I have caller ID, so I ignore them. I've reported the number to the donotcalll folks.
9pm, Sunday night. Dead phone (computer waiting for my answer to connect a sales person no doubt).
Same as above - middle-eastern accent talking about Wyndham and VIP offer... Told him to remove me from the calling list. This has to be a scam.
I answered call. No one there. When I called back it said that number cannot be reached from my calling area.
Why do these **** people keep asking / saying that there is someone phillipino here? They keep calling all the time.
calls and when you answer there is no one there. has called four times at all hours
This number keeps calling and no one is on the line.
The accent sounded Philipino to me. She said the company was "World" so****ing. I asked her to repeat it. She spelled it. I forget what the second word was. I said I was busy. She said that she was not trying to sell me anything, but that me and my husband (who she named -- both names are listed in the phone book) had been chosen to win a prize. We were each guaranteed to win "either a travel package or a non-travel package." At that point, I said, "I'm not interested. Thank you. Good-bye" and I ***g up.
I don't know!Just daily...
I won some sort of stay at Wyndam read by some foreigner on a script. "Absolutley, free!!" I don't think so. Bye bye!!
accent was so heavy I could not understand the name of the company other than it was no one I deal with or recognized. Told them I was on the do not call registry and she just played dumb. I ***g up. I like the whistle idea.
Caller ID says, "service". When I said I was on the no call list, she ***g up. Is there an authority to report this number to? There is some kind of scam going on.
I got cal from them almost at 9 pm. A lady with a heavy islander/asian accent was asking me about if we have a clean air in the area, then age, how many people leave in house, etc. Could not say anything what se wanted and what company she works for.I think I will follow what Monica does - keep a whistler by phone and **** them up!
calls every day
Well I received a call from this number. I keep a whistle by the phone and I just blast them with it. It seems that is the only thing they understand
received a call at 9:15pm. on a Sunday night.Blabbing on about a free prize and promoting their company, in a heavy accent (possibly Indian accent?)After several minutes, I ***g up, and filed a report on donotcall.gov
Keep getting calls from this number and no one everanswers. I'm on the national no-call list and I don'twant these calls........
Possible s****ed number. In caller ID field where ID is normally shown, 800 number was listed a***n.
This number called my home, and did not leave a message. When I called it back, there was a message that said that the number had been disconnected and was not longer in service.
Called my home, did not leave a message. When I call it back it says it cannot be reached from my calling area !!
Received a call at 7pm from a person with an apparant fake "islander" accent. Asked for someone not home and then proceeded to try and sell me. Seems like he said the name of company was Worldcom or Worldport. Said was new company in Long Beach trying to get their name out. Tried giving away free vacation. When I finally said not interested, he ***g up before I could inform him I'm on "Do Not Call List". Called number back and says so****ing about not being able to call.
Got a foreigner telling me about so****ing "wonderful". When I told her I was on the Do Not Call list she asked what that was. I then asked for the name of her company and she ***g up.
Called me at 8:43 on a Sunday evening. Can't find out who they are, but I have signed up for the do not call list and believe they are some kind of sales call.
