Collection not valid
I think bill collector. I just keep blocking the numbers. Doesn't leave a message but keeps calling
They called looking fir someone who does not have this # this # is on a do not call list
They call leave no message calling a # on a do not call list which does not matter to them
Have no idea who they are they need to stop calling unlisted # & on a do not call list
I'll tell ya this much, I won't pass the phone or the message if you don't identify your self! You don't have to give your name, just the company name. That is NOT too much to ask. We have the legal right to know who is calling OUR home. No employee has the right to be rude, saying things like: " Tell people to stop giving out your number". Also, before they s**** badgering about the bill you're calling about, look at the payment history. Some people only get paid once a month and it happens to be after the **** due date. The bill gets paid, but we can't MAKE people pay us on YOUR schedule!!! So, get over yourselves!!!!!! And STOP CALLING AND BADGERING AND HARASSING ABOUT THE BILL. GRADE A ****S! THAT'S PUTTING IT NICELY!!!!!
They harass me constantly and they aren't looking for me!! And they say I need to pay the debt because my # is listed as the poc for the person and their account!!!
A***n and a***n and a***n STOP
A***n and a***n
calling all **** day and night is a***nst the law as well mr president calling before 9am or after 9pm is a***nst the fair debt collection rules and calling 15 times a day even after having spoke w the person you are trying to reach is called harassment. Oh and its also fraudulant to try to collect money on a debt that you dont even own. I find it pretty funny I make arrangments w the company who actually has the loan but you idiots continue to call? Also I think when u call 5 times 3 sec apart is harassment too and I log everything because I do intend on taking action..
They call me several tines a day
What these companies do is purchase lists from other debt collection companies or get them from companies themselves. Most of the time the original list or debt is never purged or cleaned up from a database. So basically these companies are buying bad data at pennies per name. Needless to say, they make a ton of money when they actually do collect a legitimate debt and the collectors make a commission on every penny they bring in. Yes they lie and cheat and make things up so you will pay and they make money.Debt collectors are way at the bottom of the s*** pool. Lower than insurance and used car sales people.
call once and **** up
This number keeps calling me. It's abusive! I will place a law suit a***nst them if they keep it up.
These clowns have c****ed their calling number to 800-991-5265.Yes****ay morning, 9/23/09, I received a phone call from a lady who identified herself as a representative of a company with initials for a name. Then she called me by name and asked me to verity the last four digits of my social security number and my date of birth. I refused to verify anything and asked the nature of her call. She had, she said, important personal information for me that she could not share until she verified that I was the person she was looking for. That could only be done by verifying my social security number and my birth date. I told her I wasn’t interested in the information she had. A***n she insisted that her call and the information she had was important. I ***g up.Call return enabled me to get the originating number of the call—800-991-5265. A quick internet search revealed that no such number is registered to any legitimate business.I called the 800 number and a man answered. He identified his company as Professional Debt Recovery Consultants located in Durham, NC. Then he called me by name, thought I had not identified myself. He began the same s***l about the very important information for me regarding a debt in my name that had been turned over to them for collection. I informed him that I am aware of every penny I owe and to whom, and there is no such debt. He replied that he had my social security number, my birth date, and my address, all of which had been turned in with the collection information. I told him that there was no such complaint or debt and that he was never to call my number a***n under any cir***stances. With my consistent refusal to fall for his scam, he finally ***g up the phone. This morning, I found a robot call from this same company on my answering ma****e, left there sometime during the wee hours of the morning. In the meantime, I have checked all my credit records. Nothing is amiss. I called the finance department of the only medical facility that I have dealt with. Everything is paid in full and nothing has been turned over for collection. It is possible that unauthorized persons are using Professional Debt Recovery Consultants’ name to commit fraud. The number of their website, 800-840-1036, is different from the call number that I traced by call return. The call return number was also the one left by the robot call.I am reporting this incident to as many internet sites as possible and am registering a complaint with the NC Attorney General’s office. I also plan to contact the Better Business Bureau and register a complaint as well.Margaret Conover, NC
AGUY,So most collection agencies won't be around long, huh? Well, we have been here for 30 years and still kicking, mostly because of guys like you who don't pay what they owe. Interesting, the the debt collectors are the bad guys, yet the people who get services and products and don't pay are stealing, but they are the good guys? What world do you live in?If someone actually has a legitimate concern or so****ing has happened that is inappropriate, contact us and speak to a manager and we will look into it. We take these things seriously. Why else would the President of the agency monitor this website? Deborah, we collect on all types of debt.Upset and Confused, if you will contact our office and speak to a manager, they will look into this for you. If not, email me at [email protected]. Beverly, please tell them when they call that it is a new number for you and you don't know who we are looking for and to remove the number. If they don't, contact me, [email protected].
First of all, if we are "calling all day and night", how about answering the phone? That is the best way for us to stop calling. Just communicate us and tell us that a) you will pay your bill or b) you won't. We are just trying to reach a conclusion on your account. We can identify ourselves until we know that we are speaking to the correct person or we violate the federal law, the FDCPA, which is designed to help the consumer. The very thing that most people complain about is the laws that are suppose to "protect" you.
They call, and call, and call, and I tell them it's a new number for us and we don't know the person they're calling, and then they call some more. Why is this not illegal?!!!
I received a rude from this company the other day from some lady who stated her name was tawnet gooseman!?! She got upset when I told her I had never heard of who she was speaking of. She told me she got my number from her "system", whatever that is suppose to mean. I asked that my number be removed and she "advised" me to tell w***ver is giving my number out to stop giving it out! I "advised" her that if I knew who gave my number out I would certainly do that but as of right now I am "telling" her I don't know these people she is looking for and I am "telling" her to remove my number. She responded by saying she is not removing anything because ***ody "tells" her what to do and ***g up on me. I called back which they put me on hold and got me to her office and she laughed just to **** up a***n.
I have recieved about 10 calls from this number. I finally called it back. The person I spoke to was VERY professional and explained that they had another person tied to my phone number. Actually is some deadbeat who tried to buy the house I live in prior to me and used the address before she actually owned the home (which she never ended up being able to own). ANYWAY, just call the number and they will explain why they are calling.
I have been receiving calls for over 4 months from this number attempting to speak to my daughter. I have passed the info onto my daughter (who does not live here, but has a "bad debt" past) and she tells me she has taken care of it. This morning another call......can someone tell me what TYPE of services or products these people collect for? Hospital? Cell phones? Boat loans?
call a family member but won't identify themselves
Just because they are a licensed company doesn't mean they are reputable.. they are after all, debt collectors. Most lie and cheat, that's what makes them perfect for their job. I'd tend to believe the lady who shared the story about the sharing of the SSN. If this company is calling or looking for, you'd better hope they aren't sharing your SSN around. As for the lady who shared the story, you should have contacted the police to let them know of the situation. It doesn't seem as if this company should be licensed anyways. Most collection agencies come and go all the time, and this one probably won't be around for long, if they are sharing SSNs over the phone their should be repercussions for this.
Calls All Day and All Night
Couple of points to clear up here.1. We are a debt collection agency2. The Do Not Call List does not apply to us, only telemarketers.3. We do not steal garbage or blurt our socials over the phone, if this has happened to you, let us know and we will review the call.4. We are licensed nationally to do business in any state, hence that is why we work for a company in Texas.5. Not passing a message to your son is not doing him any favors because most likely his credit report will be impacted. If we are calling you, just talk to us. If we have the wrong person, we don't want to waste our time either. We have to verify that you are or are not the correct person. If you have been treated unprofessionally talk to a supervisor at the referenced number or email me at [email protected]. We can only go with the information provided by the creditor and sometimes it is incorrect. We don't want to bother you if you aren't the right person. If you are, we want you to pay your obligation and if you aren't willing to do that, we can at least tell you the consequences, whatever they may be.
calls at least 5 times a day.
i received a call from this number at my place of employment. i work for a 911 dispatch center and i am not able to tie up the lines for personal calls, plus all of our lines are recorded. i explained that to the woman, so****ing Guzman, and she said she needed to discuss this personal matter with me before it was too late and they took legal action. i ***g up on her and seconds later i had a notification for a new voice mail on my cell phone. it was her a***n. threatening legal action.
They called my parents house many times. I have looked at my credit report and they have never filed for anything on there. I have never received letters from them either. They may have me confused with someone. I finally called and asked who they are. The woman was CRAZY. She told me that I was being evasive and that I better tell her who I am and what my phone number is so she can look me up in her system. I told her I hoped the call was being recorded and that her boss should listen to it.
I am constantly getting calls from this number but they never leave a message. I called them back and they refused to say who they are. If they don't want someone to call them back then they need to stop calling.
got call from this number today wanting debit collection called my cell phone. i am on the do not call list, don't know how they got my cell number, says he works for global acceptance out of arlington texas. why does someone in nc work for someone in tx
This caller was referring to my son who has not lived with us for 12yrs. The caller said it was referring to an issue that occurred in 2001. He was rude and basically made a threat that if my son didn't call it would effect his commission in the service. The caller left a name and phone number.
got calls from this number with no name attached and was looking for someone that does not live at this number
Suretel Professional Recovery Consultants Dec. 8, 6:13 p.m. (so you have a date) I don't know if they are a part of NCO Finacial Services. I was very recently contacted by them - mid-Nov. - and was told that a bill was owed, about $10,000, they had my credit report and it was on it, I knew I didn't owe that, pulled all three credit reports, nothing on them, so, please, please, please, be careful about all of these collectors (?) and that's being kind. This is not legal advice - I'm not an attorney. Consult one if needed. It may be a GOOD idea in the long run!! I think these two companies MAY be hooked together BUT not sure - WON'T say that they are but it is VERY coincidental when my bills are paid up unless so****ing else is going on in my credit life which may be. BE CAREFUL!!
calls 8 times a day and before and after the 9-9 legit hours that debt collectors can call. they still call even after i have told them that the person they are looking for is not at this number. they are very rude.
#800-991-5278 keeps calling and not leaving a message.I got 3 calls within 45 min from them.I'm at work and cant answer those calls..its rude and anoying.
I am President of PRC. We attempt to operate in an ethical, professional manner. If you are being called, please return our call. If we have the wrong person, let us know and we will mark the number as a bad number and you will not be called. If you are the person we are looking for, you will be informed why we are calling at that time. It is a***nst Federal law to reveal the nature of our call until we have verified that we are talking to the right person. Once you know why we are calling and if you don't want to be contacted a***n, you have the right to file a cease and desist letter (in writing) with us and we will cease our communication with you and notify our Client of your intentions. I understand your frustrations, but please understand that the government has rules we must follow and we can't reveal why we are calling until we know who we are talking to. Albert, if you let me know what number we are calling I will make sure it stops. If you have any questions, contact me directly at [email protected]. Thanks for your understanding.
the number is 1 800 991 5278 they called while i was at school. somebody that needs to find out who is calling and WHY they're calling. if they call a***n, they're gonna get it.
I received a call at 8:00AM this morning, now the scary thing is that they said my first name and then asked if I knew this guy named "John Lymon" (or Limon maybe). We have been getting calls from collection agencies for a year and a half looking for a "Mary Lymon" or "John Lymon". We have no clue who these people are.Anyway, they said this guy "John Lymon" knows me. Then he s****ed blurting out a Social Security Number but I stopped him and told him I have no idea who this guy is!! Never heard of these people ever before! So they ***g up and I decided to call them back to get more information from them. A different guy answered but he refused to give me any information at all, not even the company's name calling me!! He was so tight lipped and then I threatened to get a detective or the police involved. All he said was "do what you want" and then that was it.Coincidentally, a week ago someone stole our garbage, yup our garbage! Apparently it's happening a lot around here and a local cop said they do it to steal your iden***y. Now we are going to have to pay TransUnion or Equifax monthly fees to make sure no one is using our iden***y. Thankfully our credit card and bank accounts are safe. My husband thinks someone must have stole our garbage a year and a half ago and is pulling a "long con" on us. No one should ever blurt out a SS# over the phone, so I do not think this is a legit company. Perhaps they were hoping I would blurt out my SS#. Anyway, I just tried phoning them a***n and now it seems the phone is taken off the hook.
There is no reason that a collection agency should call me this is bull. it came up on my number as name unavailable.
They are a collection agency
He asked for my 27-year old son. He's moved to another state, so I kept him on the phone trying to figure him out. I got the name Mason Harrell and his number (800-991-5278). However, "under law" he was not allowed to tell me why he was calling. So I told him I wouldn't relay the message to myson.
