Actually I used to work for Aetna (not in insurance anymore) and still have Aetna.  Actually they were calling to explain extra programs on the insured's plan (I got such a call).  There are case management programs and 24/7 nurse availability,etc. which although benefits actually benefit both the insured and Aetna.  Aetna benefits by hopefully avoiding some lowered utilization while providing the same service.

got a call, tried to call back. the system immediately ****s up on me. If this is AETNA health insurance and if your call is important enough to make, then it should be important enough to answer a return call. Automated phone systems **** in general. They are bad for business and totally inefficient.You waste customer time and cause enough resentment that given a choice I will do no business with a company that uses one. And it is no great treat to speak with "Sally" from Mumbai and try to understand pidgen english when trying to get technical info or report fraud to some incompetent fool who is robotically asking questions read from a computer prompter. Oh well then, it is not your time being wasted, it is only that ****** customer, so it is OK.

Called to explan some benefits I did not know I had on my plan. It is Aetna and they were so wonderful! It was nice to get a call that was not someone trying to sell me so****ing!

I received a call from this number. No message was left.

It is for Aetna benefits department.  They want to speak to you about your account and benefits for me have been cut back.

Called to find out, it said, "You have reached a non-working number at Aetna".

Number is from Aetna Healthcare. No idea why they are calling since I am not insured with them.
