This just happened to me.  A Stephanie answered the phone

I got a call from this number it was an automated voice saying my hsbc master card was locked. i do not have an account with them. I called the HSBC number (NOT THE NUMBER THE PHONE CALL GAVE ME) and they told me it was a Phishing scam where when you call the number and they ask for your account information they steal it. THEY ARE NOT****OCIATED with HSBC. and she also said there using other major banks. DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER THEY GIVE or give them ANY INFORMATION. always call the number on the back of your card, or the banks customer service number. she also said these people are sending e-mails to people about the same thing.

Kept getting calls from this number that ***g up on my vm. Always busy signal when I tried to call back
