Calls claiming to be from Discover cards. Wants payment by phone and bank info. Discover said this is not one of their numbers. BEWARE!!!

Claims to be from Discover and falsely claims my payment is late and says it has to be taken care of now or it will ruin my financial standing. Requested my bank routing # and other info because it had to be taken care of it now. Oh he could also save me $35 in fees. The caller never would give info to prove it was Discover. Just claimed that he could.

Number calls for the past three days from 8am to 6pm PST. calls ~4-5 times each day. I answer hear a beep and then the phone ****s up each time. I work night and sleep days. This is becoming very annoying!

Get calls several times a week. They call my home phone and my cell phone and I rarely use my cell phone. What can be done to get rid of these calls.

They calling and leaving messages saying, "I'm calling for Vishnu. It is very important that you call me back." I've spoken with them before too and told them I'm not this Vishnu, but they won't take me off of their calling list. I'm guessing they're a debt collector?

These people are a pain in the****! Call all the time, never leave a message. What's the use. I'm a Flight Attendant, so to get a call to wake up, and it's not from the front desk, errks me to no end. STOP CALLING, OR LEAVE A MESSAGE!

Caller ID says this is Discover Finance. Whatever. I screen my calls and have never answered it. They never leave a message. But, they call and call and call. No one has a Discover card here. Wish I could block the number, but it's the house phone. Sheesh~

CALLS SOME TIMES 5 TIMES IN A ROW. THE PHONE CALL IS A SALES PITCH.  I CONTACTED DISCOVER CARD AND THREATENED TO CLOSE MY ACOUNT IF THEY DID NOT STOP THE MARKETING STRONG ARM TACTICS. DISCOVER CARD USED TO BE A TOP NOTCH COMPANY. THE THINK THEY WILL GET MORE BUSINESS ACTING LIKE THAT! HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTICS JUST DRIVE CUSTOMERS WAY. NOT VERY SMART IN A DOWN ECONOMY.

Getting calls basically every 3-4 hours today..I don't answer and they don't leave a message.

It has been two days in a row that this number has called me on my cell phone twice while I am at work tea****g. I do not answer the phone during the school day. I also do not give this number out to anyone except family members, so I am not sure why I am getting called. On both days I received the first call around 9:25 and the second between 10:30-11:15.

I just received the call to my cell phone and it was Discover Card. I have my payments on auto withdraw and the period that it was set up for was ending so I had to set it up a***n. They gave me all my info, I would not give them anything. It was so****ing I had signed up for. It was the number 801-902-2969. They looked me up by my cell phone number.

Every day including Sunday. Calls come in from 8-8 and dont leave a message. Calls are from various numbers (c****e weekly) but all bounce back to Qwest Corp/Discover in Kearns UT. I haven't owed anyone for over 10yrs and have not given my phone number to anyone but relatives

Update on above number. It's part of the bell sys (SMS/800) run by a management made up of reps from Verizon, AT&T, Bell So, & QWest. QWest is the one calling you. Enter SMS/800 in search engine for more info.

I have received total of 30 calls from this number 801-902-2969 for the last of couple days. My cell number is on DO NOT CALL LIST but I still received marketing calls. I was so frustrating and annoying by it. I called verizon wireless to block the number. If you have verizon "Yes" you can block unwanted calls. You can sign in your verizon wireless account. Follow these steps, 1) click on My Services, 2) click on Veronizon Safeguards, 3) click on Spam Controls, 4) click on the # you want to block then click Apply. It works for 90 days. If you still received calls you always can go back to your account and block it a***n. It works for me. Good luck to all!!

I have received calls 5 times a day every day for the past two weeks from  801-902-2969. 8:30am 10:30am 12:30 pm 5:30pm 6:30pm The telephone display is "Utah calling". I let it roll to the answering ma****e but there never is a message. I have answered the phone twice immediately stating: "Do not call this number" and "Remove me from your calling list". I have registered complaints twice to the Do Not Call Registry.

I kept asking her to just send me whatever I was en***led to receive but she kept rambling on with a strong Indian or ****stani accent and I could not understand her. I asked her to take me off their list and stop calling. I finally just ***g up and the same number called me back immediately three times before giving up.

For some reason I get constant calls from this number. I do not nor will I EVER have a Discover card. If they treat people who are not their customers like this, then I can only imagine what they treat their real customers like. I have talked to serveral reps who have told me " I have made a note on the account that the number was incorrect, however I still get the calls every day. I will try once more to get them to stop calling, then I call an attorney this is crazy.

I've received 2-3 calls per day for the past several days from this number. I don't know anyone in this area code, so I never answer; w***ver it is never leaves a message. Looks like I'm not the only one getting annoying calls from this number. On another site, someone says their caller i.d. lists this caller as Discover Card. I do not and never have had a Discover Card.

I am getting calls from this number (discover) every day for a month, at least five times a day s****ing at 8 AM to 9PM, including Sundays.  I called the number back and spoke to someone who told me that they were calling for my mother, after I him my phone that they are calling, and I asked if there was fraud on her account and he said no.  The answering ma****e once had a message that it was not a solicitation but to call back the number they gave on the answering ma****e but when I did the robot asked for the last four digits of my account number.  I have to people living in this household that have Discover and didn't know which one they were referring to so that's why I called back the 801-902-2969 number.  I there is no fraud, I do not want them calling me.  And obviously it had to be a solicitation.

Received 3 calls on 10/31/09 and 1 on 11/01/09. Request that they do not call my home number and that they were going to be reported and was told not to threaten them and that they would continue to make calls to my home

Discover Card  -  Called from this # to inquire about missed payments.If you are paying for their payment protection plan stop wasting your money on the plan and instead apply it to paying the balance down instead.  It is worthless coverage.  The card holder had been paying for the protection every month for 2 years.  Had surgery and loss of job due to not being able to return to work soon enough after surgery to save the job.  These are 2 conditions that the protection plans was supposed to cover.  Discover had sent a letter saying the cardholder was approved for 18 months of receiving plan benefits.Discover Card called from this # to inform that the benefits are denied and the back payments that were once covered are now considered overdue.  They explained that the job loss was only covered if the employer completely closed the business.  And the coverage for health reasons is only covered while you are in the hospital.  They explained that it is the cardholders responsibility to understand the limits to the plan coverage.  Cardholder tried to cancel the plan and the credit protection service and Discover will not cancel them until the back payments are made, so now the balance will go due to billed plan payments while the issue is being worked.

These calls drive me nuts. Get several a day and when it goes to vm, they s**** to say so****ing and then **** up. If they aren't going to let me know who they are, I am not going to answer the call. I don't know anyone in Utah
