Also, as previous poster, other Craigslist scammers have emailed me; I also made my phone number a good mix but they got it. Ha- as I'm writing they texted me A***N.

They responded to my Craigslist ad via text message....wanted to send me a cashiers check for the full amount....but needed my name and address to send the supposed check.....Texted them back and told them I wouldn't even accept a check from my own brother...much less a stranger.......and asked them if they really thought that I was that ******......in closing I advised them that since I now have their number I would pass it on the my "associates" with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.....and that someone will be contacting them...

Definitely a scammer. very similar response to the other comments. BEWARE!

I got a message regarding an item that I had on Craigslist. They were sending money via mail on Sunday. I told them OK. The money never came. However, today I received a text saying that the money was on its way and sent me a fake tracking #. I texted them back and told them the item was sold. BEWARE! There is a lot of scamming going on through Craigslist and PayPal. Please be careful with these because someone got me for $700:(

Placed an ad on Craigslist. Received a text from this number, which is not from the area. The text had my exact ad ***le, no other words or c****es, and then it asked if my item is still available for sale. In my ad, I said that if it is still up, then the item is available. This isn' t the first spam I received due to the Craigslist posting, but the others were emails and this one deciphered my phone number even though I used a combination of numbers and words.
