not sure the area code. caller id was V72617485604504 for the name then the number 448-2433. but definitely a scam . Asked to press 5 to refuse. what could that mean?

I received a call on my home phone s****ing with a woman screaming "I've fallen and I can't get up.". Then a male recording came on with an alert message for senior citizens. I just ***g up on him. It was a scam.

I had a similar experience as the person in the prior comment (although I wasn't quite as creative when trying to interrupt the recording!).

Recording about a life alert system that has been paid for and they are trying to arrange drop off. I s****ed yelling at the guy "You have a wrong number." He kept talking. "Hey!" He kept talking. "If you show up, I'll sic my dogs on you and they will rip your ********s off." He did not break the script, so it must have been a recording not a live person.
