I got a call from 802-681-4148 at 19h40 monday, saying I won a trip to the Carabean. I just ***g up.
I got a call from 802-681-4148 at 17h11 monday, saying I won a trip to the Carabean, how did they get my number?
I reported them to the RCMP who have an international partnership with the FBI and the US mail cops. Ca***ians can fill out a complaint on line at sedde.ca.I happen to be a freelance translator who has translated in the past material for the RCMP and the Compe***ion Bureau who are responsible for curbing telemarketing fraud. Let these crooks have it!

Got a call tonight from this number and dialed *57 to trace. Not sure where to go from here.
I got a call from 802-681-4148 Nov,14 at 4:41pm where did they get my number from!
Upon further investigation to this number (THANK GOD I HAVE FREE LONG DISTANCE!!) I found that the Consumer****istance Program, located in Vermont would like to have you compose a letter and mail it to them. MAIL!!! I mean really. If you are a company that has someone scamming people out of their hard earned money wouldn't you want this stopped immediately. Anyways, if you would like to follow suit and send a letter such as I did the CAP can be reached at the following address:Consumer****istance Program Morrill HallBurlington, VT 05402(802) 656-3183 or Call toll-free 1-800-649-2424Good luck!!
So i went as far as calling Level 3 Communinications and they gave me a number of the account holder. Which i would bet is a***nst privacy laws, but thankfully im a ca***ian and i dont care about american laws. The number that I received was (225) 612-1208, and belongs to Guy Harrel. This number pretty much goes straight to his voicemail, and he would be the account manager for the annoying number that is calling all of us. I phoned that number and left a .... nice? voicemail. Maybe im just so angry because I work graveyards and getting phone calls before im supposed to wake up just aint my thing. Hopefully this can be another number we can harass and get those a**holes to stop calling us.
I've considered using *57 code and calling phonefraud busters(Ontario). This is a code that to my knowledge must be offered as a free tool to us in that it takes a simple snap**** of the connection chain in the call you receive. As soon as you **** up from the ****s, dial *57 and a recording will say this call has been traced. This is a simple billing trace meaning that the calling party's telephone account is captured and can lead the cops to at least some kind of connection to the bad people. Make a note of the time and date of the trace and Bell will divulge the info to the cops faster than you can drain a chocolate caddie.
Someone should give their computers a "cold". I work from home and every time these scam artists call, my work flow gets totally interrupted and it takes a good 10 minutes to get back to what I was doing.*60 doesn't work for us and I refuse to pay more money for the special privacy line Bell Ca***a can give us, not to mention the additional hassle of giving my friends, family, and clients special pass codes just to get a hold of me.
they call you to advise you have won a free trip for 4 to Cancun Mexico. That for $49 you researve the gift. You are told for $49 you hold the ****e. You give your credit card # to hold the ****e. you are told that you have 48 hours to decide, to wait for the package to arrive sign and send back if you accept. What you don't know is that they actually put almost $600 through on your credit card and you can not cancel, or I should say you can cancel, but you lose your $600 deposit.
I do not want to be bothered with this type of ****.
Stop these calls anyway.
Got a call from this number and, since we're in Ca***a and they're in the US, the FTC's Do Not Call list isn't an option. It doesn't accept Ca***ian area codes. My lone email to the State Attorney General asking for intervention tells the AG know that US fraudsters are targeting Ca***ians with impunity. A flood of emails to the AG from each person -- wherever you happen to be -- might get some attention and action.
I got an automated call from these guys today claiming that I had won a trip to Cancun. All I have to do is pay the $249 worth of tax and the $4,000 trip is mine to enjoy! Yeah. Right.I pressed '9', and told the operator who answered that if they ever call me a***n, I will be notifying the fraud squad.
I let it go to voicemail and it was a ****-up.
two calls today, and several in the preceeding weeks. Today I pressed nine, and was connected with "Angela Brooks" wanted to know if I had Visa or Mastercard. Said she was from "SK International". Unfortunately we were disconnected. The second call came a few minutes later. This time a male who id'd himself as "Robert" and wanted my home phone number ("has to be a home number". Why? "so we can verify who you are". Don't you know the number you dialed? "No, the computer does it for us. We can check your number, but I have to walk down the hall to do so." I suggested to "Robert" that I have been taught not to give my phone number out to strangers, and he said "You know what, you don't sound like a genius, and I'm not going to waste my time on you, you *****!" And he ***g up.Sigh.I tried phoning back, but got a fast busy signal. Whitepages.com reports the phone number as:(802) 681-4148Type: Land LineProvider: Level 3 CommunicationsLocation: Bennington, VTA seach of Vermont's online corporate database discloses that Level 3 Communications LLC is a registered foreign Vermont Corporation with Deleware as the originating state.Level 3 Communications is the telecommunications provider or wholesaler of the number used the telemarketer, and not the telemarketer itself.Level 3 may be contacted at 1-877-453-8353. (select choice 4 from the voicemail selection) I contacted Level 3 customer service at the above number (choice 4 from the prompt) and they confirm that it is their nummber, but does not appear****ignable. Customer service was very helpful and suggested that I email "[email protected]" (without the "quotes") which would investigate further.I called the Vermont Secretary of States Office but they can't do searches of registered telemarketers by telephone number (go figure), only by name. Not surprisingly, Vermont's corporation database does not have "SK International" Vermont does have a telemarketing fraud unit (link shown below) which may accept complaints regarding 802-681-4148 http://www.atg.state.vt.us/display.php?smod=13or Telemarketing Fraud UnitVermont Attorney General109 State StreetMontpelier, VT 05609-1001802-828-5507FAX 802-828-5341Perhaps readers of this board should contact Level 3 at [email protected] and Vermont's telmarketing fraud unit each time 802-681-4148 calls. Perhaps if enough of us do so, Vermont and Level 3 will put these "*****s" out of business.Regards
Just got a call from this number(802) 681-4148. The recording says that I won a free Trip and to press nine to claim the trip. If I would not have to press any numbers on the phone I would have gladly talked to this person just to waste there time. And may be if they had a real good deal for me give them a bogus card number number.
