Our experience was roughly the same as the above. But, if you call the number back, you'll only get a busy signal. However, the next number up - 1401 - answers as FEMA. It isn't a 100%****urance, but given how the phone company gives out phone numbers in blocks, I feel confident to say this is actually FEMA.

Some guy called me asking questions about an application I already sent and been approved for FEMA. He wanted my address and social security number and said that he needs my info to process my application. He never mentioned that I already been paid and fixed my house house with the money I received back in on November 1st.
