Got a call from them saying they were gonna call my local police station and have an arrest warrent put out on me.  So, I called MY local police station, the officer looked up the number while I was on the phone and said they are trying to scam money from people.  THIS IS A SCAM.  If it was a real debt collector, they would state their name and company and tell you the call was being recorded and they are not allowed to give amounts of money due on a voice mail.  If you do get stuck talking to them, get their name and company name and tell them you are reporting them to their local police station for harrasment.  They will stop calling.  Or, have your cel phone provider block their numb.

I was called by John Harris who stated he was a US Mashal going to serve papers on me - this is one of many calls I have received stating that I owe money from an old cash loan - I've paid them all but they keep calling.  Don't trust these people...

Spoke to Sgt. Silvestra who said that if I did not pay him $ 3,836.00 by the end of the day I would be arrested.  He alleges he is a "law enforcement officer" and that I will be arrested if I don't pay by the end of today.  Very threatening, and alleges I have commited a crime.  When told that this is a civil matter he became increasingly aggitated saying that I will find out that he's serious when I am arrested tomorrow.

Got a call today from a man with a heavy indian accent trying to extort money.  Total scam...  I figure I would have fun with it and call him back with a fog horn..... Please do not worry about these people..  they are no more than a bunch of felonists trying to extort money from you.  Ignore the calls and they will eventually go away or get caught what ever happens first.  :-).

I have recieved two calls from this Officer John Bright, one at work and the other on my cell phone stating I owed $300.00 to an Advanced Cash Loan place and that if I did not pay the $300.00 he was going to contact my employer, I would be charged additional $1500.00, they would take 154 points off my credit score and I would not be able to draw Social Security Benefits.  The man could not speak English and said he was with the FBI.  When asked if he was in the U.S. he said L.A.  He said he could settle the case with $150.00, I told him no; then it went to $100.00 and then $50.00 then he asked me to hold and he never came back on the line.

Received a call stating they were calling from Texas and if we didnt pay them $300.00 by 4:30 today that we were going to be arrested.
