i got this message on text
Also received above message. Must be hitting all numbers that have a piticular area code and/or exchange as I had changed mine from Atlanta to Baltimore and had never received this message before.
Received a txt that read: "[email protected] / / You have a new Customer Service Banking message . Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it , and follow instuctions . I'm a t-mobile customer. Thought it was about my account, found it weird my husband didn't receive a text also. Because normally they text both of us about it. Did a reverse lookup on the number it's from Petersburg, VA & is unpublished. Probably a spam or scammer..
I received same message.... I called, but didn't get through... I am a T-Mobile customer. It is definitely not their fault as I have found that AT&T and Verizon has received the same message! BEWARE!!! Maryland
First, received a txt that read: "[email protected] / / You have a new Customer Service Banking message . Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it , and follow instuctions ." Upon calling, an automated, woman's voice comes on saying that the account is restricted; prompts to enter Card number, then PIN number, then 3-digit code on back. After, she says, "Thank you, your account has been up-dated", and the call automatically disconnects. My boyfriend did this thinking that he was setting up text alerts for his banking account. I called from my phone, heard the "voice", & immediately hung up because it sounded suspect. I told him to look up the website... which i did for him. After reading these posts, i instructed him to contact his banking institution ASAP; provide them with the number & web address so that they can either block it OR deactivate the Card.
I got the exact same call and message as all the others who posted. I am a T Mobile user in Maryland. I did not respond from my cell phone, but checked it out on the computer. Thanks to all of you who posted your experience. Now I am sure it's a scam.
I just got this text number 3696 [email protected]// You have a new Customer Service Banking Message. Call now free: 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it and follow instructions. I called this number from my office phone and got a recording that it was not inservice.....this is a recording. I am in Maryland. T-mobil
got the same text, T-mobile subscriber too in CO. Shame on T-mobile for letting this things happen.
I'm a customer of AT&T Mobility from Littleton, Colorado. The text came in on July 20, 2010. It reads as follows: 1 of 2 FRM: [email protected] center.com MSG: You have a new customer service banking message. Call now free: 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it, (Con;t) 2 of 2 and follow instructions. (END) [10:47:41PM] ***END***. I've had problems with messaging services before and never intended to respond. AT&T has allowed messaging companies to bill for services that were never ordered. I recommend checking your monthly bills very closely. The charges are hidden and can be difficult to understand. AT&T doesn't verify that the service was actually ordered. Messaging companies claim to have no personal information, only your cellphone number. AT&T blocking service isn't effective. CHECK YOUR BILLS. COMPLAINING TO ATT&T HASN"T DONE ANYTHING. File a complaint with your state's Attorney General.
text message [email protected] , Obviously a phising site designed to capture credit card numbers, exp. dates and PIN file a complaint at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/
I got this message too and am on Tracfone in Oregon
I got it too, Good thing I look on website, to read it FIRST before decide to call or not. Don't open or call, It is FRAUD!! Ingore it, and delete it! Im from Ohio and am deaf.
This is without a dout a scam i called that number and decided to give random numbers and it excepted the numbers i gave as if it was a real credit card
I just got the text at 00:28 on 7/21/10 mountain time on an ATT phone line. So those of you saying its just a Tmobile thing know its not now. Only one so far.
Freud...dont open the message and delete it! Thanks to all you guys who posted, get the word around!
3678 Sender. [email protected] / / You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now for free: 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it, and follow instructions. I was horrified when I read this message because I was recently assaulted and they took my fanny pack with all my id and other stuff in it. I immediately notified my bank and sent e-mails to all the credit bureaus that this happened.
Sender: (no name) 3727 [email protected]//You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Calls now free: 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it, and follow instructions. Hah--they wish. OR prepaid T-Mobile customer, got the message around 10:30 a.m.
My wife also got a message concerning new banking services about 9p 7/20/2010 here in Fort Collins, CO. She is a T-Mobile customer and was wondering if she should call. The 1-8804-835-6757 callback number made me suspicious. Decided to Google the number first. Good thing. I'm also on T-mobile, but haven't received the message yet (It's on a different area code). Curious.
You have a new Customer Service Banking message . Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it , and follow instructions . T-Mobile - Glen Burnie, Maryland!
Same text message at 10:50 pm in Maryland (Eastern time). I'm also a T-mobile user
I'm in Colorado and a T-mobile user.... Shame on you T-mobile!! Not cool!!
I got the same text as well, also on T-Mobile. For what it's worth, we get stuff like this all the time at work. Generally war dialers regarding our auto warranties expiring, one even rang our elevator emergency phone. I'm certain it isn't T-Mobile's fault. All phone companies get a block of numbers from the main telco in their areas. The war dialers pick one area code and prefix and start at 0001 and end at 9999. With the texts it is so much faster to do via a computer auto sending them in an amazing bulk amount within a matter of seconds. Don't blame T-Mobile, blame the phishers and the naiive people who fall for their scams.
I'm glad I decided to google this and see if it was fraud!! Got it here too, Colorado!
D#*N! I just called and entered bogus numbers to all their prompts. Basically, it's an eery, automated, British, womans voice who says there is an update and you need to enter your CC number followed by the pound sign, then the EXPIRATION DATE followed by pound and the PIN NUMBER followed by pound and CVV on the back followed by the pound. I put in 3 digits for the pin and an automated mans voice came on and said, "that is incorrect". Then I put in four digits and she said, "thank you". After I finished the bogus dates and numbers she said, "thank you, your card has now been activated" and she hung up! How aweful, for any people that actually fall for this! ESP as many of these texts that are going out! wow. These scammers are going to make a little bit of money before the word gets out.
Same as everyone else located in colorado and a t-mobile customer. My husband got it too.
I got the same text called it I. Thought it was from my bank account being overdrawn it came In a text said to call 804 835 6757 asked for ur card number ur pin and the number on the back of ur card I'malso a tmobile customer
Mine said the same thing from 3571 in Colorado from T-mobile phone. I was thinking it was the Comcast upgrade thing, since they called earlier, but that was from an 877 number not this weird text from 804-835-6757 or 1-8804-835-6757. I also no longer have my kidney and am quite drunk... but it doesn't have anything to do with these guys.
someone should call Jim Benemann...Tmobile-CO number, in Florida
Same as everyone else. T-Mobile. I think we know who to blame for this one...
Just got the same message as everyone else 6:50 pm mountain time in Colorado. I am a tmobile subscriber as well
I got this too. Also a T-Mobile customer. I am in Indonesia...or Ohio...not really sure which is which.... Which one has the baseball team??? Anyhow, they came over and got me drunk, I woke up in a tub full of ice, and a bunch of staples in my side. Basterds got my kidney! That's okay, they must have missed the other one, so, I am fine!
A t-mobile customer in CO, got the same message 20 minutes ago
just got a message t-mobile msg from 3654 "[email protected]/ / You have a new Customer Service Banking message . Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it , and follow instructions ." 6:31pm mtn time

I got the same message on my T-Mobile phone here in Maryland. It's a phishing scam for your ID info. Don't fall for it...
Just got the same text an hour ago. I called the number back and knew it was a scam when it said that my account was restricted. I'm a T-Mobile customer too, although I'm not sure it's T-mobiles fault.
same text here in colorado i use t mobile to.
I got this text also at 4:30 mountain time. My parents haven't received it yet. Definitely a scam
Got the same message as everyone else. I'm a T-Mobile customer in Colorado. Text came from 3590.
This upgrade-center.com tried to git my credit card number as well. It is a scam for information. Someone get these guy's!
T-Mobile Customer in CO..same upgradecenter.com BS
I received a text from 3577 saying "[email protected] / / You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it , and follow instructions ." A real institution would use better punctuation and make sure their phone number is correct. I will not be wasting my time calling this number. Note to scammers: Seriously, how many people fall for your crap? Quit wasting our time.
Same text message as previously reported. CO t-mobile customer... someone hacked tmobile.
I just got the same messagestating, "You have a new Customer Service Banking Message. Call now free : 1-804-835-6757 to hear it, and follow instructions. I called the number, thinking it was related to some recent changes I have made to my bank account. I do not give my infor mation out over the phone though. sounds like a scam to me. I am also a T-Mobile Customer.
Got the same text about 10 minutes ago didn't reconize the info. I had just upgraded my phone, so i called from a land line. Got pretty much the same quesstions about cc info did not give any so protect yourself this is total BS. J in Ohio.
text from "3733" [email protected]/ / You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it , and follow instructions . -------- I am a prepaid customer so I am getting charged for this spam. Only option T-mobile offers is to turn off texts completely which is not practical if you have any contacts under 40. Anyone know a provider that lets customers block all texts from any number not in their contacts? Seems like this shouldn't be too hard to do technically.
Just got it a txt here in CO. Ain't technology grand!?!?!?
Colorado T-mobile user- I received the same message. Glad I googled the number and found all this info, I definately will not call it and I will report it to T-mobile ASAP.
Likewise. T-Mobile Ohio number.
Oregon T-mobile customer. Just got mine. Checked it out here first. Glad I did but still would not have given any info. Just wondering what [email protected]#$. Sounds like T-mobile got hacked into. T-Mobile sucks and I will be leaving shortly. Too many dropped calls.
[email protected] I called from a board number and put random number when asked for card umber. they asked for PIN, CVV Exp date everything...! Does ayone in teh forum know how to put a complain?
Same here, Ohio T-mobile user. Will definitely leave T-mobile when contract ends.
I got two identical copies of this same text at 12:33PM PST. I am a T-Mobile prepaid customer in Oregon.
confirmed. Thanks for bumping this up on google.
I just got it and called and put in a bunch of rando numbers when they asked credit card info. Oh well let them have fun figuring that one out.
I'm an Ohio T-Mobile customer and I received the text message at 5:20pm. I work in the banking industry and as soon as I saw the message I new it was fraud. I've dealt with the situation a year ago at work when MANY cardholders in a few different states would receive text messages to verify their card information and unfortuantely the cardholders responded believing it was our bank. Then a day later they would recieve atm withdrawls that wiped out their account from across the country!! I'm sooo happy no one here repsonded but I just know many people probably did and that makes me so sad.
received same message t-mobile at 5:19 pm
Just received the same message as everyone else @ 4:47pm. T-Mobile as well. Googled it and found this site. Confirmed my suspicions as a scam.
I just got this on T-Mobile as well. Scam!
Same story. Ohio T-Mobile customer. My husband and I both got this text message. From 3659 "[email protected]/ / You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it , and follow instructions." My father also got the message, but his wife hasn't (yet). My husband and I have been wanting to leave T-Mobile, but didn't want to spend $400 to break both of our contracts. This just may be the ammunion I need to get out of paying it!
just got this message, and I've reported it. Be careful and don't give them any info!!!
Got this message at 4:30 p.m. Ohio time.
me too got the same message glad I came here. Called back automated system is asking for account number it looks like a scam
Reported to T-mo I suggest you all do the same
The e-mail address [email protected] is different than what it is asking you to call : 1-8804-835-6757. They are trying to trick you with this.
Just got off the phone with a tmobile rep and they have issued a help desk ticket to have the company investigated. my tmobile rep actually called the number and they are a phishing company looking for CC info. she also texted "stop" to see if that helps, but it turns out only 5 digit sms numbers work that way. do not call this number back!
Got the same message @ 4:30 PM. t-mobile phone number. Didn't called.
Just got the same message on T-mobile. It does look like it's t-mobile customers who are getting this fraudulent message. Please do not call back.
Got the text also. Didn't call lol.
Another Oregon T-Mobile customer. I received the same text as everyone else, but my wife did not (has not yet anyway).
T-Mobile user in Oregon: Message said: [email protected]/ / You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it , and follow instructions -- Didn't call as my mobile number is not my main account contact number... That and the message "Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it ...." Yup, looks real to me... So, it appears that only T-Mobile customers are suffering from this today? I know two co-workers who are on T-Mobile have also received this message... They're just working through the number tree...
I received the exact same message at 12:20 this afternoon, but since I have gotten texts from my bank I know that they identify themselves. They do not send anonymous, vague messages from an overseas #. Thanks for all the posts!
Same as everyone. Tmobile phone. Maryland location. looks like tmobile leaked private numbers.
T-Mobile customer here as well, got the same message this afternoon just like everyone else. Didn't call back. Assumed spam.
Same thing as everyone else here. T-Mobile cell, got as a text, number is in Virginia. Tried punching in garbage numbers for the 'card number', and it would not accept.
Hey, look they got my T-Mo number as well... no mention of other carriers getting this... did T-Mo get hacked and now we are getting spam txts?
Just got the same txt from [email protected] on my TMobile phone - went on line and found this page- thanks folks! And to all scammers - GO TO HELL
Received just now on T-mobile cell: [email protected] / / You have a new Customer Service Banking message . Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it , and follow instructions .
Got a text today on T Mobile accoutn saying "you have a New Customer Service Banking message. Call now free: 804 835-6757. I called out of curiosity and the message was my account was "locked" and to give my card number to unlock it. I laughed and hung up.
Received the same message, did not call back.
Stupid people think I'm really going to provide them with my card number? Really? Yeah, ok. An automated system asks for your card number, then your expiration date, your PIN and CVV. We'll see how far they get with the information I gave them!! Just another sad attempt...
Just got a message from them on T-Mobile. I have never given my number to anyone (use Google Voice).
I just got this on TMobile.. If you call the number back your phone will get charged $75 (added to your phone bill)
Received txt msg at 3:25PM EST to my work phone. Same msg as all the others. Only my company has this number.
I got this today too. 3:20 pm
on 7/20/2010 3:14PM Eastern, I received text saying "[email protected] / / You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now free: 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it, and follow instructions" I didn't call, looks fraudulent.
Same stupid msg at 11:00AM Pacific
If you gave information you better call your financial institution and close down your card!!
received same fraudulent text message as listed by other users
DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER! THIS IS FRAUD! DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION!
got same text message actully called and gave them ,my credit card info, with out thinking should i just monitor my checking acount
Got the same message at 2:05pm. Didn't call looked funny.
Same text message here... didn't call either.
Just got a text from the same as everybody else. Looks fishy so I didn't call.
Text message from 3582 Message said: [email protected]/ / You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now free : 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it , and follow instructions . Didn't call - as NONE of my lines of credit nor banks have my cell as the primary way to reach me - so there is no way this could be legitimate.
received text, same as above, one number too long etc....did not call back.
Got a txt msg saying to call. When I reached it it said my account has been suspected of fraud and to enter my card number. It didn't identify itself with any company. I hung up.
I received the same text this afternoon also!! Just a few minutes ago. Text says: "You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now free: 804-835-6757, and follow instructions" And I did not call either.
No idea- Text said "You have a New Customer Service Banking Message. Call now free: 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it, and follow instructions." The "88" is in the text of the message however the message cane from [email protected] I called and could hear people talking in the background.
Same thing. Got a text message telling me to call. I didn't call either. Plus the phone number was one number too long.
Didn't call back, but received text for fraudulent banking information
This is a blatant scam - NEVER GIVE your account info out on anything like this. I am reporting it to my state do-not-call enforcement agency and filing a formal complaint with the FTC at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2 to find and shut them down.
thought it was odd that my brother and i both recieved this text at the same time about entering our bank info, wonder if this is all from us bank or hoe they got our cell #s hmm i dont trust it
Do not give away your credit card number!
text....scarey - I never bank on line- up grade account with some hack?
sent me unknown text message telling me to call, when called it then said my account was restricted. No idea who it was
Got this today...Just repy to the text with the word "STOP" and you would get it anymore
Caleed asking for card numbers
I have received numerous text messages from this number stating I have a new customer service banking message.
How do I stop them from contacting me? ?
Same text as everyone else.
Same as everyone else on here, total S-C-A-M.
I received the same scam/phishing text as everyone else.
[email protected] / / You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now free: 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it, and follow instructions"
I got a text today, 3:20 pm, it said "[email protected] / / You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now free: 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it, and follow instructions"
could not find the webpage online. text stated "You have a New Customer Service Banking Message. Call now free: 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it, and follow instructions."
Looks like a scam.
I also recieved this text message just like everyone else. I also entered random numbers and it took them which was really surpising. It's a total scam. Whatever you do dont fall for it.
No idea- Text said "You have a New Customer Service Banking Message. Call now free: 1-8804-835-6757 to hear it, and follow instructions." The "88" is in the text of the message however the message came from [email protected]
I called and could hear people talking in the background.
got the same text message as everyone else; I did not call back; none of my banks have my cell number, so I'm thinking it is scam/phishing.
I got it too, but will just ignore it. I just wonder how they got my number. We all certainly have something in common.
I called this number after receiving a text message. It said my account was frozen and to enter bank card information.
I received a text on my cell with the typo Ray described.
Got a text message from [email protected] it says "You have a new Customer Service Banking message. Call now free: 1.8804.835.6757 to hear it, and follow instructions."
It had the ID of 3547... Usually when I search for unknown numbers and type it in google, you can find it pretty fast. But, Ray is right - the first number is the "real" number, the second has a typo.
I don't have text messages enabled for any of my bank accounts, and I do think it's probably a scam! If you really think something is up with your bank account, CALL THE NUMBER ON YOUR CARD!! Don't even bother to call them! A real bank will NEVER ask for your PIN, your card number, or the expiration because they already HAVE that information on file - they will ask you to confim things like your name and address, and the last four of your social. If you give your card number, PIN, expiry date, and confirmation code on the back of your card (exception of an AMEX), then they will not only have access to the money on your card, but they might be able to get into your bank accounts as well. Don't risk it!
It is a SCAM! I called number and they want you enter credit card, expiration date, PIN number, and 3 digit code from back. I entered random numbers, it accepted them all, and said my card was activated. TOTAL SCAM>
I got this number as a text message. I knew it couldn't be any bank because they always give you a toll free number.
I just got this text message... I think it must be a scam.
I received a text message from sender id 3653 indicating that I should call 804-835-6757 because of problem with my banking account. I called it from another landline and got a recorded message to enter my account number for further information about restrictions on my account. This must be a scam.
what is this
Received it on my cell
Got this strange text message trying to trick me into thinking it's from my bank and I have a New Customer Service Banking Message waiting. There is a typo in the message, the phone number, what a waste of my time and money... Ha, Ha! My bank doesn't even have my cell phone number... Could be a scam.
Sent me a text telling me to call the number back. Had a choppy message couldn't understand. Said something about my account being restricted.
Just got phished by this number out of VA.
