This guy is buying phone numbers and names and then calling trying to pull a scam.  He tells the victims that they are in big trouble if they don't provide information or call another number.   It's all a scam.One of the lists of numbers he's buying is from jail employees who are selling visitor information.  My daughter did a good deed of driving a new friend to visit her neighbor in jail.  She had to provide her name and phone number as well as her friends name.  Both those names and her cell number where used by the scammer.   The only time that information was together was at the visitor check in of the jail.So i guess there is more that one type of scammer.  The guy with the thick accent and the employee selling personal information...

these are scammers...................... they have got a filthy accent may be from india or dunno but they are pathetic

recieved call from 805-290-1945 let it go to vm, next thing I know they called my aunts number off of somewhere off computer. I called number back because he told my aunt his name was officer james watson and that I had to call back it was urgent. When I called a foreign person answered and didnt even know who officer james watson was so then I ask where he was calling from and he said united nations, california. I have never heard of this, never been to the united nations and never had any dealings with someone there. I told them I was going to report them to the police department in my state and the FBI. Someone had called me before like this and scammed me out of 100.00 so this is a scam. He tried to tell me I had a case a***nst me in the united nations in which is not true.This person could never give me a compoany name and also when he answered the phone he said*****o, this is not how a business or police officer answers the phone!!

An officer Randy Hoffman called me from the Department of Law and Investigations. He said my case is time senstive, but could not leave details on the voice mail and I needed to call him back right away or I would be in trouble. He has a strong Middle Easter accent. I did not speak with him, but let the answering ma****e record it.
